  • help automatic propleme sein motor conversion

hello, I have an omega a 2,6 cd diamond automatic until recently the car ran without propleme also the automatic switched perfectly!! unfortunately the engine had to be replaced since it came to very strong smoke development. we used in the car again a 2,6 which also wonderfully clapped I have to say that the motor comes from a car with switch gear after 50km drive the automatic started spinning temporarily the first gear does not go in or the s starts to b left when pressing the kickdown. we couldn’t make a rhyme from where or why that came now especially because the automatic before did not make a propleme now well we decided to change the gearbox at first it had the appearance that it had brought something but after 40km I had the same proplem again. I’ve already made myself smart about what that can be but so far I’m not going any further because I can’t get the old engine anymore Since he went straight to the scrap I finally got as help: you had to get out how many teeth were on the V-belt disc (below the crankshaft) of the original motor (unless it was rebuilt) and compare them with the number of teeth on the new disc. Furthermore, the sensor that hangs under the teeth should have about the same distance to the pinion and have about the same appearance. who can help me there further or who drives still a n omega a 2,6 automatic which can count for a short time the number of teeth so that I can check them with my times. there are also other ideas that could help me in advance thank you for the help

  • Pay bill or bill ???

Hello! I was recently at the friendly and had my door catcher fixed. The accepting workshop master told me that the invoice would be taken over by Opel 100% on Kulanz because my car is still younger than 6 years old and I agreed. But to have a “kept” checkbook, I had another inspection done (they want to live too). Well, three days I could pick up my car and another master told me that from Opel they would pay for the replacement. I didn’t get it back because my car drove over 100tkm, so I had to pay the bill of about 250 Eu. I didn’t believe them at first, and I told the master to talk to his boss, who has a closed opinion. After that you know more. And today I had the bill in my mailbox. Do I have to pay it now???? I only had it repaired because I thought it was on Kulanz, every free worksman att would have made it cheaper if I had wanted to repair it at all. Besides, I never signed an order about it, or received a cost estimate. What should I do now, I have a bill and 5 days to pay, but somehow I feel betrayed. I can’t pay if they can’t find out correctly. Do you have some behavioral tips??? Would be really grateful for all the information.

  • Stabilizers defective or crossbars?

Hello girls and boys! In January I got a Opel Omega 2.0 16V (purchased, because last car (fiesta) total damage) with approx. 95000 km Built. 8/98 with bla and text as equipment etc… I am quite happy with the car. But one thing is not for me: At a speed of approx. 70-90km/h the steering wheel wobbles as if one could think the car falls apart. From approx. 90km/h the wobble then disappears again and comes back only at approx. 140km/h and then disappears I had new winter tires put on new rims, and the wobble is not gone… I asked Jeztz what could be all this, and I got a lot of different answers: first it is the axles, then the stabis and then the crossbars and and and and… Now I thought, people from the forum know that! I hope!! Oh yes, and what else: is it normal when I go on the gas and the omega (e.g. on the aut) And that: If the engine is cold, that then a whole while sounds like a mixer with problems? That was it again from me, I would be glad for every help greeting mike 69

  • Omega B – Dropouts in rain/wet

In case of heavy rains (even after washing system with underfloor wash) and correspondingly wet road my Omega gives up the spirit (Omega B, Bj.98, 2.0, 16V, X20XEV). Sounds like 3 cylinders. No more proper acceleration and jerks when giving the gas. The instrument pointers spin for a short time. All needles dance up and down! Last time I was made friendly by the ADAC. When the morning started everything was good again. The master was himself but sure (100% motor electronics) that an additional mass band (motor body) can help. But did it not!! In the last rain the same thing, but then drove mercilessly and after approx. 200km everything away again. Maybe someone has a tip for me. THANK YOU! PS: Motronic lamp lights up – error code: Lambdasonde is broken. Does this perhaps have something to do with it?

  • at the TÜV….

Hello everyone, had been to the TÜV last week Thursday and drove there with a calm conscience. So arrived and the usual tests started. Puh, the hand brake still works. (For automatic almost never used) Then started. Engine loses some oil. Is not an old oil, which collects already thousands of km, but it is really fresh. I guess the left valve cover seal, but it is bad to locate when it drips down. After I dami On the front axle both of the handlebar jacks have been knocked out and have to get out. I am now considering whether to press the bushings again, or if I should have the whole handlebars replaced immediately. km-Stand: 100.656 Greeting

  • Madness

Today I reanimated my replacement car (my old 205er) again. Stand 16 months at the roadside and waited for the press (actually). I thought about it on Monday times, just try it. I bridged it and see, keys turned around, once choked and already he jumped on, without any further kicks. Then I changed the drive shafts, because these are standard and never last long. And today he has come WITHOUT flaws about ́n TÜV. I believe that I have something like this with I guess I can’t do my senator or ???? He’ll only be able to move with the broom after 16 months. Now I’m going to drive my 205 and in the course of time think about what I’m doing with the senator. I still don’t know if I’m going to break it up and sell it, finish it or add a “new” and rebuild everything. I don’t really want to screw it up at all.

  • No self-burned CDs?

Hello, have the Siemens Infotainmentsystem NCDC 2013 in my Omi, but that has problems with self-burned CDs. They are either played with dropouts or whole tracks are not recognized. Purchased CDs run without problems. Is there any tip on how to put my CD program together myself? Thank you in advance

  • Omega purchase advice

Moin, first of all I would like to introduce myself here in the forum, I am Chris, 38 years old and am currently driving an Omega 2.0, 115 hp, Caravan, 5-speed from 1992. Next year, however, I would like to improve, i.e. I have a Omega Caravan 2.2 with 144 hp and automatic transmission from year 2000. Now my questions: Is this engine recommended? Also in connection with the automatic. How many gears does the automatic have? Where are the weaknesses with the vehicle, what are the reasons for the or is a 6-cylinder more recommendable? or the smaller 2l? I am very grateful for hints, because the car should drive a lot and long and with 2 children the money for possible repairs is not so loose. Greetings, Chris
