I drive an Omega B and have a few days fogging my windows more and more since my disc blower has inexplicably opposed the mind. I thought nothing more about it during the constant rain. Only today I noticed with horror that the entire footroom is under water! All the fusmats + the floor are sunken like a sponge and I don’t know where the water comes from! (window excluded! Garage car) + Underfloor perfectly in shot. Where can this be done? Problem lies!? thanked,- mfg Nils

Consumption 2.2 16 V Sport Caravan (Facelift)
Hello, in another thread I came across that my car probably consumes quite a lot in contrast to others. Since the thread did not answer too much due to the inappropriate topic, I try to get an impression here again. My Omit is a 2.2 l 16 caravan sport (switch). If I drive as good as just AB and hold the speedo needle around 120, then I can get 9 – 9.5 l on 100. Short distances also bring it up to 13 l and the normal highway ride with T acho 160 (Tempomat) brings it to 10.5 to 11 l. In the average mix (a part AB, a few short distances and a part Bundesstraßen/Ortsverfahren (rural) 10 to 30 km at a time) I regularly need 11 – 12. Between summer (235er) and winter tires (195er) lie again so about 0.5 l, which you have to calculate above. I thought so far: Good, really nice is not in the height, but is also a heavy car. However, I have heard of drivers several times now, d he almost has problems coming over the 11 l, and then I find my consumption much too high. What do you mean? I certainly don’t drive as one would learn on a fuel-saving course, but I never bring the car to the limit of efficiency. Greeting & thanks for opinions and possibly tips Mario

Omega B clear glass headlight from Ebay
Hello together! I would need some advice from you again! Has anyone ever bought clear glass headlights for an Omega B from Ebay? There are currently two providers there who sell new headlights. If I look at the reviews in this way I come to the ponder. Did any of you buy them? What is the accuracy, function and processing quality? Who knows other providers? Thank you and greetings, Peter

Strange noises at 2.5 TD
Hello, there’s a problem since this morning. The engine ticks constantly about 2 times per second. And besides, I hear a deep hum at the same speed at the air filter box, which sounds the same as when I decompose the air filter box – so the usual intake noise. These sounds were never before and I’m a bit worried. What could that be??? Greetings, Christian

Buy – don’t buy? Please help.
Hello, I drove an Omega 2.2 ED (9/2001, 29.500 km) sample. I liked the car very much and I would like to buy it. I still have a few questions to the Omega experts: 1. At 40-50 kmh you can hear “beat noise” (BUUBBUUBBUUB) from the tires, but the steering remains calm. Did the tires flatten and iron? The car is definitely standing at the dealer’s for a few months. Does a balanced tire help? Or is it possibly due to the brakes? 2. With very slow Fa The dealer said that this was normal with 235/45 R17 tyres with a rough profile. Is that true? 3. The steering wheel squeaks during steering movements until the stop. “Only” a processing error (leather squeaks)? 4. The car still has a factory warranty until 9/2003. Can we extend the warranty? Thank you in advance. Hopefully I don’t hear anything bad from you, I absolutely want to have the car. Xilef

Omega B 2.5 V6 ” alternator” help???
Hello everyone, I don’t look through that anymore. when I bought this car two weeks ago I stayed on the motorway because of an alternator damage. that was near Kassel and I had to go to Hamburg. In Kassel an exchange alternator was installed. After installation of the alternator we found that the control light is still shining, but the battery was charged, well, so I came to Hamburg and after a few days the same as on the highway, I stayed there again this time I thought it was all just because of the battery so and therefore the control light was lit. I first went off and bought me a battery with the hope that the control light finally disappeared, but negative. After that I drove to the car self-help to peek what is really going on. And tataaa there was, the idiots in Kassel have connected the connection to D+ line wrongly, before joy I have you again properly screwed on battery again clamped, engine started, but without success the charging control light continued to glow!!! Now I am really desperate and don’t know any more. for the replacement alternator I flipped exactly 250€ in Kassel. Here costs a new exactly 313€ And the Austaus alternator I can no longer give back, since it should have no guarantee 🙁 ! at the moment the car runs because it has got a new battery but does not know to where d he would suffice 🙁 my question to you: – is maybe also the replacement alternator defective? – is perhaps still where else a mistake? – did someone else have the same problem? for your help I am very grateful MfG

soon there will be no OMEGAS
Now I have it in writing: OPEL writes to me on request: “We are pleased that we can count you among the loyal customers of our company. We thank you very much for the trust we have placed in this place. All the more we regret that you have been annoyed and insecure about the future of the Opel Omega model. Regarding your request, we inform you that the production of the Opel Omega will be discontinued shortly. A successor model Unfortunately, there will not be any direct connection. Therefore, the vehicle will first be replaced by the models Signum and Vectra Caravan. Whether and when we offer a limousine similar to the Opel Omega, we unfortunately cannot inform you at this time. “Dear Mr. .., even if we cannot meet your personal wishes this time, we hope that you will give us again the chance in the future, you from the equipment offer a What do you think of this??? I find it a pity and think OPEL makes a big mistake.

omega B equipment features
a few days ago I bought an omega caravan 2.5td with cd equipment, bj.99, this car has xenon headlights and a hands-free device. great you will say, nice for you. but I have a problem. I don’t know if this car has e.g. Esp, tc or etc.. whether it has an automatic level control, whether the hands-free device has been installed factory-side bla bla bla… unfortunately I could not get the necessary information from the seller, was ordered at opel.de and google.de everything ransacked for product brochures or similar, so that I can inform myself about this year of construction, unfortunately in vain. however, did not have the opportunity to go friendly yet. does someone have a tip?

Boiled feet !!
hello to everyone! I am new in this forum, but I also see “blinder” already…. the problems with the “omnibus” are always the same 😉 but now what (at least for me) new: since a few days my omega x20xev (2l 16v) loses, besides the countless other problems, now also cool water as soon as the climate runs. this alone is already annoying enough in this weather, but yesterday when driving he also quickly got a good it water glass full of the cooking stuff on the feet “pilled”. and that in open flaps….*real enthusiasm climbs up* 😉 tomorrow so off to the friendly. he said after a short pressure test (with which he had flooded the driver’s footroom with it just as quickly) that the “heater” is defective… and depending on the defect can thus also “break” ?!? new part “moderate” 550 euro…installation 450 euro !!! my questions to you: maybe someone knows a “something” cheaper alternative ? or can you exchange the part villeicht yourself or repair (let) ? and ..where does the part actually sit exactly ? above the footroom I can only see the air channels, where ́s always running out. I still noticed that water in the engine room drips as soon as the climate runs. (by the driver side, near the water hose that go into the inner room) how does that work ??? there ́s maybe a kind of flow channel, or so ? or comes ́s vie That’s exactly why I hope that someone from you has an idea for it… 1000 bugs for it are easy for me to be too expensive for a 96`er… greeting alex
