  • Omega B – Y22DTH – goes out suddenly

Hi together I hope someone can help me here. It’s about a y22dth 2001 Omega b Caravan with 161tkm. I bought the car with defective head gasket. Despite the damage the car jumped great when buying (-10°). According to the seller the car should go out at the operating temperature. What was the case even after about… 20-25 min.. After disassembly of the engine came out that the head gasket was defective at 3 places on 3 pistons. The car had with the old seal almost zero power. After the seal is renewed the car runs in the stand clean up to the operating temperature. at about 85-87° the engine goes out impactfully without pre-registration. The engine can be stopped immediately again and also jumps immediately again. But does it immediately also not jump again 1-2 times…. after a short time it jumps again and until reaching the temperature it goes out again. Keeps the engine constantly on about 3000-4000 turns it has super-up after 30-40 seconds of dispension.

  • Omega B – FL – Other Opel radio mount.

Radio Conversion NCDC2015, CD60, CD70, CDC80 , DVD90, DVD100 Hello, Mal ne Question, has someone experience with the attempt of a radio changeim FL from CART2007 to NCDC2015 or one of the other navigation radios so what I already know CART2007 must be unmarried NCDC2015 must be married NCDC2015, additionally required, color display, telematics incl. glove compartment, cable radio to telematics. Question 1. Does the BC also work without Opel Radio ????????????????????????? 2. Is the display GM24459629 (originally welded into foil, probably never installed) the right one for the purpose. 3. can you also produce the cable yourself or have to expand it with the spare part dispenser. 4. Do display and telematics also have to be married. 5. A non-married radio can only get the security code back at Opel via a request from the Opel dealer when the radio pass is gone. 6. is it possible with one of the other radios or would even make me happy about your knowledge.

  • There will be light in the luggage compartment

I’ve been annoyed for a long time that the caravan is just a lamp in the trunk. And it’s also quite stupidly attached… If you have the luggage compartment cover closed, you can’t see anything, and in the dark you don’t want to get them out and grope them all the time. That’s almost daily, because I only take a few small things with me and the cover is always closed. So now I have the solution: a license plate lamp (have one of the Golf IV, because we have plenty available ) into the side part. I chose the flap to the right because you get there very well and also the cut out went very simply by cutter knife. Since the lamp has only 5Watt, I think that the cable cross sections of the remaining lighting are not necessarily overloaded, and so long the frame light burns also not… Observed that at the time when the cables get warm, I will also simply exchange the one in the roof sky against a lower watt strength, but that’s not necessary. Have the cables on the original lamp is simply attached to the frame light, and the same thing is not quite a good thing.

  • Another small test: locking button passenger side wiggles, vibrates, crunches

So, now my last problem: The door button / locking button on the passenger side vibrates and pinches while driving. Can you fix this part somehow wiede? Sorry that I ask so stupidly, but the differences in the interior to the front lift are enormous. MFG Basti

  • Help, half meter long oil fountain out of the engine

Hello, Have an Omega Bj.03 2.5DTI and just pulled the oil measuring rod while running, because I wanted to check the crankshaft housing ventilation. Then came a half-meter long oil fountain from the tube of the oil measuring rod, now you can imagine how it looks here… 🙂 fast the engine off… Now it’s time for troubleshooting, therefore I urgently need help, because the cart must be ready for use as soon as possible! Is the crankshaft housing ventilation closed? Or is that normal that you can’t pull the thing when the engine is running? MFG Hendrik

  • Some questions about Omega caravan 2.5 TD 01/95

Hello together. so I get myself an Omega 2.5 TD with 290 000 km bj. 01/95 CD equipment. I visited the car and made a short test drive. because the car should cost 600 euro I can not do much wrong if it runs reasonably. the climate does not work, loud salesman hears one when switching on but the compressor should probably be the coolant after a 4 year unused standing time out. It is an automatic transmission and it switches soft, but what is noticed with it that sometimes the gas pedal has to push down quite deeply it attracts. however, at the kick down it comes immediately. before 20 000 km a new cylinder head with all the seals has come in now to the questions now, because I know neither with omega nor with automatic transmissions: 1. is the normal that one has to start the gas pedal quite far still to be able to start the battery just like a few times a day ago.

  • Byebye Omega.

Now it’s official. The Omega comes with the WOWA in Croatia. A horror trip. On the way back I smoked the LIMA. On the way back he started to cook constantly. So at 39 degrees outside temperature. Heating on full pull. After I pulled the relay, which switched the 2nd level it went however. But the Omega is basically with the caravan totally overwhelmed. In part I had to go back to the 1 aisle to get the mountains. And on the left the Golf 4 with their caravans moved loosely past me. Now he will have to look for a new at home, and I will get a Vectra C Caravan with the 150 HP diesel and 6 Gang AT gear. At the campsite in Croatia I talked with many. They have all the petrolers made experience and drive now a diesel. From the principle it is already very difficult for me, but I have also had many problems with the Omega. If the Rep. had been carried out in a workshop, I could now register private insolvency.
