  • Why didn’t Opel become a top premium manufacturer?

I don’t get it wrong now, I don’t want to make the Opel brand bad, on the contrary, but I would be interested in it. And considering that in the 70s Opel produced beautiful large luxury limos and coupes al la admiral and diplomat with large six and eight-cylinders, there is somehow not so much left later. And somehow I don’t see the senator as a real top class limosine anymore. The stuff to build big cars, the e could have been in competition with the S-Class and 7s. Audi had not had a really big luxury car on offer at this time and look where they are now. Of course they had bad luck in the past, e.g. Lopez (he said so?), who saved on the Astra up to no more, where they still have to close today. Mitn Kadett E started already, although he had a much more modern body shape compared to the 2 golf. (Mal so ne little Fra Is Astra F really not nonsense? At best there can be a Kadett F, or an Astra A, isn’t there?) What do you think?

  • Voltage drop (who brings it to the trash can???)

Moin people, after we didn’t use our fat for a few days (sh.ss high fuel prices), was again the battery empty. Has happened already, after the car corso after the won, Germany game (high temperatures, and constantly running radiator fans and light and climate fully turned up…) I have now measured only 12.9 volts on the battery. Is everything not so bad yet, on the alternator are 13.8 volts on, very passable value, ergo, cable defective. Now my Fr number one: Does the cable go from the Lima directly to the battery, or does it take a detour over the starter? Question number two: Which idiot builds the Lima so close to the cracker that you burn your fingers when measuring????? I hope you can help me, I want to make the cable new now, so that my battery gets full again, and no one has to bring out the voltage drop.

  • Shock absorber problem 🙁

Good evening, everybody. First of all, I would like to say a greeting to the direction of the community, since I am new Hope it will be an informative time I have a big problem with my shock absorbers. This problem must be done by 10.10., because I have to drive with the car c.a. 1500Km within 3 days. To my problem : I have installed a carhifi system. This has a total weight of c.a. 550Kg. Of these 550Kg lie c.a. 380Kg alone on the rear axle of the vehicle. My car-interior is therefore bagged together and has only 4-5cm ground clearance. My car has even lost the exhaust by hitting it on the ground I was at a specialist workshop today, because I assumed that the springs are sluggish. They said with there that I had Koni shock absorbers. Furthermore I have Pro rear axles 2! springs. The springs are not the best but certainly not bad. So it could not lie on these, because I closed the door. The fact that my car sucks in in the back is the “inflict” of my shock absorbers that are not supposed to be good. He said the following: You need “pneumatic shock absorbers” because you can pump them in with air. You can only be sure with Pneumatic shock absorbers that you can get back up with these carts back up. You can “pump up” these shock absorbers until the car is reasonably high again and I no longer use the lower back. oden Aufsetze. Normal shock absorbers would never hold this weight. (man’s statement ) Now I have no idea what the parts look like, and what exactly I need there !? As I said, it is not about driving behavior or anything else. I want straight away that my car comes up at the “po” again, and it looks like with any other “normal” vehicle too. I know that the weight is hardcore, but there must be some solution ? where do I get so pneumatic shock absorbers from ? Is this all true with “You can fill in the air, so the car goes up” ?? Would really be great if you could help me further and I can order this week. The car : ( depreciated from the vehicle registration ) Omega A Caravan 2.0L engine capacity 85Kw ( 115Ps ) First registration : 18.08.1993 Type number : 0039 Key number : 685 Greetings Norbert

  • Angel Eyes at Omega B

Good day to everyone! I have a question. I ordered Angel Eyes for my Omega B year 96 last week. The color of the car is silver. I ordered the headlights in chrome. Today I got the package, but there were black headlights inside! Now I don’t really know what would be best… I looked a little more closely at the headlights, they don’t look bad at all… If I send them back and I read the chrome-colored letters I’m curious about opinions. • AR35 automatic transmission problem??

Hello and that I had a small gearbox problem about 4 days ago. And I was traveling with approx. 220kmh on the highway as plötzlch was standing in the BC “Automatic gearbox”. He then slid down briefly and then was on approx. 6900upm and then immediately up again on approx. 5200upm. then I am off the gas and he then ran at approx. 100kmh on approx. 3800upm and did not want to power up anymore??? I then drove back home so around the 40kilometers. However, he already after 20KM of all ine the speed again runtrgeregelt at 100kmh on approx. 2500upm. When I was home I turned it off and started again and it’s all normal, but I don’t dare to do a kickdown anymore. The gearbox is still the first and is now 13 years old (247500km) and has never had an oil/filter change. Do you still think that’s worth doing that, or is it probably flattened soon anyway, because then I can save myself that and immediately steal another. There are just so many different opinions about the oil change in the AR35, some say yes is better the other NO just after that everything is shit

  • 3.0 MV6 Error code 28 and 29 Power loss Ignition problems??

Hello, now I also got caught with my Omi, after now 50000 km without problems I have since yesterday suddenly the problem that I have no more power in the Vollast range, sounds like my Omi ignition problems. In the lower rotational range with gentle acceleration it runs quietly as well as in idle, but I give gas then nothing more. I switch it gently with the automatic through the gears from 1 – D it is better as in the duration D operation. Motor control light went only error read out result FC 28 and 29 of an unknown error and petrol pump relay voltage too low. If I had now made the candles, ignition cable and ignition coil first and with the latter also my problem comes already, how can one reasonably get to the ignition coil because the one is sitting between water box (wall) and engine block at the back. I changed today also my heating circuit control valve because I saw it was leaking, went o halfway through the service flap that you can screw away on the right side of the pollen filter. But I can’t really get to the ignition coil. To read out the error codes I took the diagnostic device from an acquaintance, but I don’t know what it means with the plug-in modules for different types of manufacturers.

  • Compulsory circuit

Hi, I have a problem with my 96 Omega Caravan 2.0 16V. It’s a 5-speed switch and there’s the problem: the gearbox can be switched very hard. It still works best when the car is in motion, i.e. it’s sometimes not possible to insert the first or the reverse gear. For example, you have to insert the 3rd gear and thus the car can move and then insert the desired gear. I noticed that the problem only occurs if the M otor runs. If the engine is switched off, you can insert any gear without any problems (almost like a new car). I bought the car 3 years ago with approx. 100tkm and among other things, the gear oil changes, because it went very hard from the beginning. That brought a bit of improvement. In summer it is better than in winter anyway, but that’s nothing new I think. About 3 months ago I filled in Liqui Moly Gear Protect (that’s why a lot of gear oil out). In the meantime the Ommi has 136tkm on it. Do you have an idea? Why can it be easily switched off when the engine is off? Thank you in advance! Greetings Heiko

  • Cold start problems 2.5 td

Moin, had to fight this morning (-12 degrees) with considerable cold start problems with my Omega 2.5 td (Bj 99, 223000 km). On the one hand, the starter always jumped in for 3-4 seconds with each start attempt and then continue turning without moving the engine. Question 1: Is this normal or can I assume that the magnetic switch is broken?? The engine starts at temperatures above zero degrees easily. Question 2: Can I rule out compression deficiency and the error rather in defective glow Hkerzen or limit water in the diesel filter?? By the way: The air mass meter is defective Thanks for your answers Rexi

  • Merry Christmas

Moin,Moin! After some light bulbs from the tacho had blessed the time, I changed them immediately. When the tacho was sitting in its place again, and I had turned on the light, suddenly the messages came: lack of oil, coolant level, wiping water etc. What I forgot Dussel again to connect the small black plug from the MID.: The whole work again from the front. Tacho out, plug connected and again in with it. Who has no work, does just I wish all Omi drivers a happy and blessed Christmas.
