  • ECC device defective ?

So with my Omega B currently fog the disks like crazy, climate nix helps more! As I’ve already written in another thread, pollen filter is new, processes all in order, No cooling water loss, therefore heat exchanger also in order! If I buy now on eBay a used ECC device, can I just install that, or does that also have to be unlocked again with Tech 2?

  • Omega B – X20XEV – Unknown engine problems

Hello again After my Omega finally has TÜV, a new problem had arisen. Yesterday we drove to the workshop because he lost oil. On the yard, waiting for a moment. Mechanic comes, squats in, wants to turn on, but does not want to. Pushed in, diagnostic computer connected. Results: camshaft sensor. The oil problem was the valve cover seal. Now the workshop called today and said, the camshaft sensor is changed but he does not really want to start. After some attempts he starts again willingly, if he wants to turn it on again, it does not work. Battery is ok. He meant now that he wants to try another sensor again, if the new one is in the bucket. He also wants to call a Opel workshop again in the hope that one still has the omegas in his head. I told him that I will ask you, because the omega density should be quite high. Does the problem of one of you, what could it be? What would be typical of the omegas??

  • Omega B – X20XEV – Built.99 – Temperature dependent error code

Hello, like some others I now have the problem with the MKL with rising outside temperatures. With my X20XEV from ’99 with ATG it runs from about 10 degrees plus in emergency run. Sometimes after some restarts (engine still cold), but not always. Even after a long ride after set off, 10 minutes later MKL often comes! 🙁 When reading “office clip” not only comes the “12”, but also 10x short – pause – 3x short; 4x short – break – 10x short. KWS new, NWS i.o. cross test negative. China Cracker is ordered from UK, 14 days. “http://www.cardiag.co.uk/…om-can-obd2-for-opel-159-82676.html”. Thanks for suggestions.

  • Omega A 2.0i Bj 88 no longer starts

If I had a very funny case here, I would have driven home from work just two weeks ago, and on the track, I had broken my middle silencer (through rusted) exactly at the same time, he had driven on 3 cylinders. From about 3000 revolutions the 4th cylinder also jumped again. Until home no problems. New middle silencer ordered and until then the pot urgently patched with a lot of exhaust kit. Two days he also did not have any problems. Then he did not want to jump any more. Then I dragged him to a buddy and installed the new middle silencer and also a new end pot. From the lifting platform down. Keys in and give him…. He orgs and wants to jump on but shortly before he is ready, it is as if someone was taking off the power or pulling off the ignition key again. He breaks into himself and starts from the front. Even if I tried him with foreign starters, even the same problem is still present. The spark plugs, the tooth seal, the spark cable are only half a year old. In the summer, I also did not have a cold run control system, but it could not be cleaned.

  • Ask for small purchase advice

Hello, I am actually more active in the forums of Volkswagen and Mercedes, but now I would like to return to the Opel fraction again. Background: I had an average driving profile a few years ago. I drove about 15,000 kilometers a year and decided almost always for a car as a gasoline engine with automatic. With my Opel Vectra B automatic I was not satisfied despite extensive “CD Exclusiv” equipment. 2 faults of light engines and a defective steering gear clouded the balance over 75,000 kilometers nevertheless clearly. Then came times where I had to drive at least 30,000 KM a year and I changed from Opel to Mazda and VW. Both my Mazda 6 as a diesel and my Golf TDI with DSG brought me always well and reliably to the finish. Besides, as a seasonal car I drove a Mercedes W124 and at the moment as a main vehicle an A class as diesel. Now soon my driving distance from the moment will recommend about 30,000 to 35,000 KM a year to reduce between 15,000 KM and 20,000 KM and I am looking again for a large spacious vehicle with decent driving comfort (which is not as much as a driver’s ride as a driver’s car).
