Hello dear Opel friends, I am recently the owner of an Omega Facelift Caravan from 2001. Now I got a super-cheap interior mirror with ambient lighting from a 2002er. Now my problem: I have already read a lot about the wiring here and know that in some models the connections in the sky are pre-wired and in others are not. Of course it is not the case with me. It is only the flat plug for the DWA od He hands-free device. Is it right that I can only clamp the brown cable = mass and the black = ignition terminal 15 to the inner light and thus the mirror as well as the ambient light works? There are four cables on the plug: Black Brown Grey Pink / Black Maybe one of you has some tips for me and can help me a bit. Thank you very much in advance…!!!!

Senator A 3.0 E engine without compression……what now?
Evening together, today after more than 18 years I had to learn horrors that my grandmother has almost no compression. Short to understand; the Seni (BJ.80) has been in my possession since 1988. In 1992 the good got a new engine (generally overhauled for 5000 DM, Fa. WEGE engines) installed. About after 20000Km the engine began to run round. I have to say, his performance like the old engine he never achieved… always missed such a bit, but no matter, I drove it further, especially since the warranty had already expired. After all, he did not go bad…. !995 I then signed him off, at 40000 km….and so he only stood around until last year. Last year I revived him and of course the engine was just as fucked up as 18 years ago already. Well, so far. Old Sack already gave me plentiful tips, which I have implemented by now, but did not help anything. I never doubted that the Seni engine had a good compression. After all, the engine has only 40000km down today then the Gong, which woke me up: After ignition, injection nozzles etc. were tested and even the valves were put on a little more play (the default was a little too tight) we measured the compression. Cylinder 1= 8bar 2=2bar 3=4bar 4=1bar ………the rest just as bad Somehow I don’t get rid of the feeling that I had to get scrap built in at the time. What now? Better, as Alter Sack told me often, the 3.0 Install the engine from the Omega A or should I disassemble the old engine and see what’s going on? What’s more worthwhile, especially since my bugget is limited, or actually not available What should I do?

X25XE/X30XE
Hello Together, just looked for a little bit on the Internet and found the following page:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_54%C2%B0_V6 engine According to this, the X25XE and the X30XE are both built on the same engine. Now my question to the experts: Can I convert my 2.5 V6 with 170 hp to the 3.0 liter V6? Or is this thought nonsense? What’s different about the two engines? VG, Rolf

Crash problem Omega B 2.0/136 PS: Changing gasket is enough?
Hello, the crusher of my Omega B (before Face), Bj, 99, 72 Tkm is leaking, which makes itself felt by blubbering when it is cold and exhaust odor in the driver’s room. The problem is, it is a dealer’s vehicle, I still have warranty on it. The dealer has puked a little bit when the complaints are quenched, I said to drive in “his” workshop. This is an external, small, open workshop where the dealer can repair. The screwdriver has now confirmed the crusher problem and wants the seal now my question: Is that enough? What I have read so far, the opinion always goes the direction of the crush change…. Logically that the dealer tries to get out of the number as cheaply as necessary. I think I have to content myself with the seal change first, since it will “function” again…? How many Tkm do I get with it if you assume that the worry itself is the problem? How do you see the thing with the seal, only patchwork. or can this actually be “enough” to solve the problem? thank you, Walter

Diagnosis: Gear damage correct/wrong
Hello Omega friends, here is the continuation of my little Omega Drama. Omega 2.5 Dti, 2003 year, whose automatic (5speed, 5l40e) causes problems, more precisely, the control lights in the center consoles (D,R, P, 1,2,3,4) shine simultaneously, then no gear except 4 insertable. Everything, if car is warm after approx. 20km. Before Automatik switches everything completely perfectly. Was with the Omega 2.5 dti at Opel. These have read out Tech 2, no error message. bnis. The mechanic then, according to his own information, took oil from the automatic transmission, and found that this oil probably smells burnt. Diagnosis: Gear damage. Strange is that the car switches the first 20 km after starting completely flawlessly, and also the light play on the selector lever center console occurs only after 20 km. Now that it was colder, the problem occurred even after 25 km. No error message in the cockpit. But, reading out with Tech2 2 weeks ago brought error message: “Posit The rereading with Tech 2 yesterday did not bring any more error messages. Actually I would like to replace the Positiosn switch to see if everything works again. However, the part costs 240 euros, and is not taken back. and is not needed. My question to the forum: What can you do? mfg

Engine pulls false air. Loose hose end found
Hello together I’ve been reading in the forum for quite a while and need your help. For some time now my omi has been running very restless in idle mode and is going out now and then. Everything is normal when it is out of the lower speed range. My first diagnosis (can an unsuspecting non-screw make a diagnosis?) was air filter and spark plugs. Both had about 40tkm on the clock and has been changed today in a free workshop. We could not find the reason because of lack of time. He sprayed the intake bridge with brake cleaner. No result. The noise comes somewhere from the area below the wiper motor. I then looked at home again and found a hose that was hanging loose at this nasty narrow spot under the wiper motor. The S Chlauch runs somewhere on the right side of the engine in the direction of travel. Unfortunately it was too late and too dark to follow the story. Maybe someone has an idea where this hose belongs? The hose is made of rubber and has about 10mm outer diameter.

Omega B TD Automatic PROBLEMS
Good afternoon, I have an Opel Omega B Caravan 2.5TD. The gearbox is causing problems. And although it doesn’t want to start properly in 1.2,3 gears. The funny thing is, when I turn on the winter mode, it drives on quite normally and attracts really well!!! It seems to me that it does not push the gears in normal mode. If I turn off the winter mode, it drives quite well in normal mode. The car also does not run in emergency running program and no error message in the on-board computer. Now w I am very pleased about tips. MfG Ersin

Heat cooler broken – now of all times – in winter!
In my Senator B 3.0 24V, year 12/90, you can only drive with a polar equipment and “inside windscreen wiper” at the moment! Before a short time the radiator has broken! After I have completely clean in the interior and the deffektive heating cooler clamped off it, it is over with the fun driving in cool weather! My Bougett is quite limited, therefore I seek here help and advice regarding inexpensive repair! Come from Upper Franconia, near 91301 Forchheim. Who can help?
