  • which navigator ???

hello together….. short question to the experts who are familiar with the original opel omega b Navi Fvl. with which navicomputer from Carin is this display operated???? the search has…..naja you already know nothing. I could get this display with the cable salad very cheaply, only the computer and the button for it is missing. whereby the procurement of the button will certainly still be fun wreden.beim auction house are sold quite a few computers. however, all have a different number somehow, but all look the same. as for example 520 or 522 I think 059 was also still. some of them were in connection with a seperate color display. I know that this system nowadays is not exactly the carrier, but the history with the cid installation is then too expensive for me. with a more up-to-date software is enough for me this original completely. maybe someone could tell me what number this computer has to have. or does it even matter and it only comes to the cable?

  • Ignition cable- Can that be?

Hello, since the ignition cable of my Omega unfortunately gave up the spirit during my holiday, it had to be quickly renewed at an Opel dealer. Since no original part was available, he installed a cable from the second equipment manufacturer (it had to go quickly). I arrived at home today, because I still have to make the valve cover seal, and he said that he wants to change all (!) 6 cables again, because he does not know whether the control unit can cope with the replaced cable of the second equipment manufacturer. Should it cost 350 euros. I first refused to get advice here. Can this really be that a FOH replaces a ignition cable and chooses a wrong one, which hurts the car? Somehow, I can not quite imagine that just because of the warranty. What do you think about it? Or does my FOH just want to make a little money quickly and tell me that this has to be changed?

  • Audio systems Installation Omega-B Facelift….

Greetings!I have an Omega-B Facelift Bj:12.02 and the following problem: I am talking about the audio/climate-tronic unit in the center console, most of you probably know what it looks like…. now I want to install my radio, but have no idea if there is an aperture of Opel/reconstruction with which you can install your own radio!?!?(possibly sharer would be supi) and how does it look with the wiring under the amature board? you have some space or is there like with most “new” cars all paved up, or where would be a good place to come with the + cable into the inside room!? would be best if someone has already done this already, and vlt. has made a report online! ps: have done so many times, just don’t stop with such a car 🙁

  • again problem with 2,5td

So it was a good time again. I had to go back to 4 weeks ago a bj. 95 omega b 2,5 td caravan. After some tips of you he drove well again. now I drove at the end of the week into the resin with caravan. mount up mountains down. for a while everything went well, then the temperature went up to the red, right, motor out and look. then found a safety box at the front left in the engine room, and see there 3 fuses a 30a were through. as I then saw after new installation, it was the ones for the three fans. then there was another one broken in there, a 15a. did not know what the change is, also does not come out of the manual. everything was good again. klima ran and he didn’t pull the caravan up and down today. now to the first question: the temperature went up sometimes to 100 degrees and then down again to 90, is that normal????? warm? was driving again, it didn’t seem like that again in the morning, but then it went back again.

  • Omega B vs. Dacia Logan

Hello together, yes, apples are compared with pears, but I thought about buying a Dacia Logan and selling my Omi (my Opel heart is bleeding and I can’t believe what I’m writing there). But if I think what my Omi “frisst” and so far has cost me of repairs… Repairs + taxes + insurance in the last 3.5 years: 500€ fuel in the same time: 500€ –> That’s a lot, though: 238.00€ / month overall, well, that’s actually going again. But my Omi doesn’t get younger and the timing belt is coming up soon, moreover, the coupling bars are over and I think the screeching is “suspicious” –> Consumption: ALWAYS 11,5l / 100 km, no matter how I drive (!!!). On the other hand: I love my Omi! But with the Dacia I would have a new car. But that’s not as certain as my Omega. But it only needs 6 l diesel / 100 km. I would save 900€ maintenance in the year. I’m going to take my Buckia.

  • Brake pads changed, so what?

After the BC had woken me up with a warning “brake lining”, I had to do something. Brake pads and new sensors brought and built in.. No big movie theater, everything went great. (7er Imbus is not in every assortment!) Covers were also all nicely worn out, both sensors ground through, discs not shouting and the thickness was also ok. As far as everything was great.. After the installation the car braked though, but one had the feeling to step into a bucket of butter, and not on a brake. Totally soft. As if there was air in it.(Cables were of course not off). Also the pedal path was macpy longer than before. After n few hundred km, however, this is always better now, although I did not know whether I was used to it now. I was also on Monday at my workshop on the test stand, and the master meant brake would be ok, would probably not harden itself any more. After n few hundred km, however, I did not know whether I had to get used to it now. I was not able to change the brake again, but I could change the brakes.

  • What’s going on on the board?

Hello! I have to find out unfortunately that the board here is becoming more and more neglected. The touch that some people show here is to say the least among all sows. Maybe it’s already noticed that the people who have tried to give competent answers so far more and more to draw down on what this can be? Maybe because this is becoming more and more a Kasperltheater. Ever the same questions as how deep, how big the rims 17 or yet 18er maybe also 20er how wide the tires –50Ps more in the 3.0V6 for best only 20 € ,how do I drive the MV6 with 5l consumption or runs your 2016V also 240 km/h quite not to mention the eternal purchase advice questions . It can not be so hard to use the “SCHE” to use. The very last thing I find here, if the people are trying to give proper answers , they are then also insulted by other users , which are open to blöd to try the search . Yes I know this is completely OT but no matter the people have tried to give me proper answers .

  • My automatic transmission is leaking…

Hello! I’m new here in the forum, but I’m in similar live! Of course I’ve looked around here before and have to say how to deal with each other – that’s exactly mine – that’s what I like! And also the tips! – so well described – will now also dump 2T oil into the tank *ggggg* But now to my (large) problem: I had my transmission oil changed back then (November 2005) (automatic) Well, the workshops (it’s already 2) won’t keep the whole thing tight anymore. Now there’s a new tub (the big one) on it, a new seal, new screws …everything is new, but it’s still getting a little oil out. What should I do now? Tell me my (biger) board computer what if the oil level in the gearbox becomes too low? Can it be that the transmission somehow got damaged? Which messages does the automatic transmission bring… I’m really desperate, because it’s been pulling away now since March … I hope it’s not going to be expensive, because I’ll soon father and need every cent, however, I want to keep the Omega, because I love it!

  • Omega B – X20XEV – LL coaters for long motorway ride – Hydros?

Hello, for a few days now, there is an Opel Omega B Caravan 2.0 (X20XEV) from the year 99 and virgin 260tkm at the door. He steers, brakes and brings me from A to B. Before the transfer we made a small service -> Air filters, spark plugs, brakes, as well as the two hoses (if you are standing in front of the car) left from the valve cover to the throttle valve and replaced the holes again. The oil trap cleaned and replaced the hoses. Lack of oil on site, I could not make the oil change until after the transfer. So I tucked around the 130km/h over the BAB. After about 200km I found at a break the typical sewing machine nail of the hydro plugs ;( The next day then just before the oil change is done a motor cleaner clean and yet with the fresh oil still has to be controlled. But the clacker has remained … power is present, a still empty car, no blue oil swabs is only solved to me, but the gas spirling is still a little clear.

  • Omega B – Y22XE – Interior deceleration lamp defective

Hello you love, the last days it has been really cold at night. Since then my interior light no longer does. Reading lights with ignition goes on, so all 4 bulbs are changed. Reading lamps still go. Only the interior light no longer turns on. Does anyone have an idea? On the Omega Y22XE Caravan from 2000 everything is still original, i.e. radio etc. and via control unit also connected. Light went still a few days ago. No matter whether with key or remote control, it switched on and off with delay as it belongs. If I now pull out the light switch, then everything remains dark. Car is dry from inside and processes also free. Where is the delay regulated? In the lamp itself or where else? Presumably mine is defective. Or someone else’s idea or experience with it? Thanks in advance people!
