Hello, as the title already says, I want to get an OPEL Calibra. The choice has been made between VW Corrado or Calibra. Only for the summer to drive. But no broken and grounded or disfigured!! Only in the original condition!! I wanted to get some opinions, on the topic of year of construction, motorization, error sources, rust susceptibility / special rust points, which should be taken into account besides the normal reviews of a used one, etc … Maybe times noc h some information about consumption and so … Thanks!!!

The Calibra design
Hi guys, something interesting happened to me the day before yesterday: 16:30, after-work evening, city motorway ascent Berlin-Stubenrauchstraße, American work colleague (who is also a small sports car/coupe fan, but is more familiar with American and Japanese cars – in America he drove a made 91 or 92 Supra with a good 300 HP) on board. Suddenly he says “Hey, look at us, also a Calibra, only in grey and dirty…” … I look more closely and tell him “Nee, that It’s not a Calibra, it’s a BMW 8 coupe.” When the BMW turns in front of us, my colleague also recognizes the Bavarian roots and thinks that BMW and Calibra have an immense resemblance from behind. So far, I have only read about this resemblance in contemporary magazines, but even car-loving people confuse them, is new to me. What do you think about this? What have you experienced with your Calibra in this regard? BG CS

Calibra Last Edition… to hit!?
Hi, the Calibra has always been my dream car and just now there is one at the dealer: 12.97 EZ Last Edition in dark green, leather, climate, BBS Alus etc. so just the standard equipment of the LE. 120.000knapp down (unfortunately only the X20XEV) signposted with full warranty, TÜV/AU, full fuel etc. pp. for 5200€, so I still think pushable to 4500-4700€ since I have already bought 5 cars there in the last years. The only drawback: I have a new car that is just over 1 year old (Astra) -H Caravan)…but he would certainly take it back. That shouldn’t fail…the place in the station wagon I give up for such a beautiful car with a good conscience. Now to my questions: – Finn has a nine in the Fgst-No.? – What to say about the X20XEV…good care = very robust? – I think with one of the really very last models there should be no technical problems with child diseases or? Rust should also not be a Tehma!? – Is the price realistic!? And last but not least: from what f I should pay special attention and should strike, as far as everything fits, or rather look further (would tend to have a V6 with gas system)

huhu people , they finally got the horny clear glass parts… so I have to say for 149.99€ they are really a bargain. Shine nice far and the look is simply horny, they are also 100% fitting exactly. Z22SE Performance Increase
Hello MT municipality it is about a Z22SE in the Vectra C … the engine is also traded as L850 of GM and thus installed in tens of other vehicles … Performance increase is the topic .. I found the following post Quote: A 2.2-liter, four cylinder engine from the new aluminum ECOTECfamily – which will premiere in Europe in the Astra Coupé – also powers the Speedster. The engine is constructed from aluminum alloy and weighs a mere 138 kilograms. It produces 108 kW (147hp) at 5800 rpm m with a maximum torque figure of 203 Nm, whereby 90 percent of this is available at 1800 rpm.” 203 Nm is 147 ft-lbs. 138 kg is 304 lb. 147 hp is awesomely low for a 2.2 liter engine, however. Hopefully it should be able to do well over 200 hp with some tuning (and no turbos) can only agree with the author 147 hp is not really a lot for a 2.2 l engine … so I’m looking for RENEWABLE suggestions to turn a bissel on the wheel YeahOne.com offers a power kit for this engine where the motorle but unfortunately not in the mail order (have with those telebimst) otherwise only without guarantee 🙁 .. so proposals PLEASE

best oil for x16sz?
Hello, Can someone tell me what I can give the x16sz engine (1,6L) for oil without it breaking? I would like to use 5W40 again, but my motor doc said that this would be too thin and 10w40 is best suited for it. But I still think the 10w40 is too thick when it’s cold. The 5W40 is already pretty thin. Since I like to use the engine extremely hard and I like to load the engine even in cold conditions, I would like to use an oil which is the V Is there anything better for this engine or is 10W40 the best? Actually, I find full-syntetic oils much better. Use partial-syntethic or oils that only consist of mineral components also really very reluctantly…

C20xe problems
After the conversion to C20xe, the ABS lamp lights up after about 5 minutes! The ABS then stops of course. At Opel they demand for the error memory read out the ABS sensor 25 € is that ok? Could be that only a wheel sensor is dirty/wet or not properly sitting on it, in the “worst” case would probably be an ABS sensor!? Anyway, what makes me stutzig, that is from the brake fluid tank at the top of the closure brake fluid squeezes out. d you can see the car from time to time a few drops on the ground. There were already a few puddles on the gearbox. The liquid level is exactly between Min and Max. I hope someone can help me with the problem!? MfG astrahd

C20LETTE – Steel rods or not
Hello first, How far can I go with the power and the torque until the serialpleuel give up my mind? Have now at 300HP and strive for bigger things. Have made nn K26 suitable and improved the flow in the head. 2 split pumps, compartments, adjustable pressure regulator, group A without cat, large LLK, thick pipes, No wastegate, chic pop-off, the pistons should be “long good” for 400HP according to the local dealer. But with the connecting rods he was not so sure …. But was ready to supply me with the necessary material, at the worst price.
