Tach, I have now in the past, a Golf 2 CL, then a GT, and now a GTI fire&ice edition, or the GTI I drive at the moment. But I’m not quite happy with the car. Since I also have the Schnauze vol, from VW, and think of a stronger race sled, I would like to buy something else. I thought of the Opel Astra Coupe. I believe it is with 147hp or something? What about the acceleration, from the data, in contrast to the 2 gulfs, or also 3 gulfs? How much does one of them need about, or what is still worth? Opel is supposedly building very good A utos, and in the DTM they are also very far ahead. Otherwise I would have seen a Honda Integra V-Tec, around 13,000 euros, completely spoiled, 65,000km, 190hp, etc. So, would be very grateful for information. lame Omega 2,5 V6
Once had an Omega 2,6 caravan and was thrilled by its smooth running and the speed. Since this engine was unfortunately no longer available I added a 2.5 V6 (Caravan). This engine is now unfortunately something else: Brummelig (but goes like this), clatters in idle mode (disappeared at slightly higher speeds) BUT: the box is a bit lame: with solid material max. 210-220 (according to Tacho) on the track is not so great. Is this with this engine, which with 170 hp nevertheless more power than the old one 2,6i is supposed to have just like that? Or does the box have any Macke???

Oil or silicone, axle rubber
Hello Today I noticed for the first time that small black oil droplets were at the front left on the floor under my omi. In the (free) workshop for a quick look, one noticed: Hopefully I express myself reasonably correctly…. So, at the left side of the wheel suspension, is such a triangular leg support (?), and there is a thick rubber bearing. This triangle support is somehow hung on this rubber. And exactly from this rubber this “oil” drips. Then they sprayed the “oil droplets” on the ground with a cleaning agent. I was told that oil would dissolve. However, this “oil” was pearled and remained on the ground without dissolving. The master said that it could be silicone, that it is already installed in these rubber bearings (?) at Opel. Could that be? If yes, would that be an elaborate thing? I have an MV6 Kombi, 3.0, EZ 03/00. Greeting Dirk

Engine stutters in case of acceleration
Maybe someone can help me; Gt is 5 years with almost 40000km.Between 4500-5000 turns he stutters briefly,like when the speed limiter comes,was already in the workshop and there were 3 out of 4 ignitions defective. Problem is still there.Question anyone knows the problem????

Scratching brakes while stopping
Hello, maybe one of you also has this phenomenon and can help me. I have an Omega Caravan 2.5 V6 automatic from ’98 and although there are problems with braking, the automatic seems to be (with)responsible. With each stop just before the stop (so the last 2m) the brakes squeak very loudly and crackle and crunch until the stop, the car jerks along. After stopping, I easily release the brake, so that the car starts rolling, but do It is deafening and sounds like an old Russian truck. However, if I switch to “N” before stopping, so take out the gear, I can slow down softly to a standstill as it should be. My FOH said that it can’t turn this off, because the power that gives the automatic to the drive. In the meantime, I could already connect to the speed. The higher the speed (e.g. when it is still cold), the higher the speed, the lower the speed, the lower the speed, the lower the speed, the lower the speed, the lower the speed, the lower the speed. Always the phenomenon. I already had several automatic vehicles, including a Manta-A automatic, but never had any problems of this kind. Does one of you have this with his automatic? Please help. Hello everyone! I’m new here in the forum and I have a few questions. I bought a week ago ’95 Omega Caravan 2.0 16V. Has run 125tkm and is fine except for timing belt change (comes tomorrow). Today I drove a little overland to get a feeling for the car. I had to find out that the engine is a little weak for its high weight. Now my question: Are there sharper camshafts, increase in displacement or other useful tuning measures? How about h more compaction and channel processing? Greetings and thanks!

So, I’ve had the omi for a good four weeks. 2.2 DTI 53000 Km on the clock. For a week I know that he has a heater. But, the ZH doesn’t run. I crawled under under the fenders. I really hangs such a thing in it. I’m happy about it too. Look very nice out of such a small exhaust. But he also looks like he has never run before. The car is now BJ 2002. May 02 so over three years old. Therefore, I had to rot a little bit. the small exhaust. Nu question: Can this be that the first one was not unlocked or has to be activated somehow? In the search I found nothing to do with it, honestly! Only that the iergend wie speaks to the BC, but not what the two of them tell each other. With the best thanks for your patience economist

I know the topic has been dealt with more often and I was almost always involved to give clever advice. But now it’s my turn! As soon as the climate compressor is out and all the windows are closed, my windows will be milky up to colossal. If I have the glass roof in fan position, it’s okay. But in winter it’s not really pleasant. Blablabla…. I just wanted to know if at the face lift the air valve with a loud “plopp” closes I can’t see it when I take out the interior filter and so I don’t know if it works. And: how high is your set temperature? With the predecessor it was nice at 21°. Now the ECC is smokin’ at 24° and I’m still freezing! There’s something wrong…
