Huhu, I would like to apologize for my ignorance, so it’s about the following, I have to buy a C20XE, but many of them I find, where the valves are crooked (seller states that the timing belt jumped down at about 1500 rpm because it was too loose) And with another it means that the crankshaft wheel has overturned and thereby the valves are crooked? Can anyone say if that can be? So I haven’t yet jumped down the timing belt or So, are the described consequences suitable for the causes? What does changing the valves cost at a C20XE? Where can you do something like that? Change your head? Does not have to be sanded there? Costs? Where? Should one have ‘tuning’ measures taken? Which ones? Thanks already :O

Pipe to the rear silencer dropped: replacement in workshop original or not?
Hello dear talker, I am new to the forum because I am dissatisfied with my current situation. my little agila I have now driven 55 000 km without any repair. he is well maintained check book, because I use the alleged advantage of the lifelong guarantee. however, that also means every year to see through to the opera workshop. and that was now already in March 2015. have paid for the usual view 250 euro and I thought with that again I am well cared for and always on the safe side. now my great disappointment, last week there was a big bang and on the road lay the exhaust pipe to the end silencer. my opera workshop however showed itself calm and meant that this can happen, something rusty from the inside through. but where remains for me the safety when I am on track and feel all around safe because my car is experiencing a constant maintenance. well every case I was installed a new end silencer, for a total cost of 245 eur o. now I look at the calculation and see that this is not even an original end muffler from opel. so far I thought that opel in his workshop at least always used original components? outside I could have got one for 79 euro. it is worth it now even the guarantee to let run still further, i.e. continue the annual inspection at opel or do not come better to make the repairs at opel at all and in future to go to a free workshop? maybe you can give me some tips.

Agila – Do you have any tips for buying used?
Moin together, my daughter is just buying her first car. On the dealer tour (Munich area) she stumbled over this offer. According to (free) trader allegedly a retired car from 1st hand (which is why the supposedly few KM). I am always skeptical about this, as today the tachos are manipulated. After all, with only one previous owner it is not to be feared that of the 35,600 km the first 30,000 were driven by the first owner in 2 years and the rest in the following 9 years (unless he has not been driven for years before the sale, which can quite happen with old people). “Rentnerauto” is probably the standard reason for old cars with little KM. I haven’t seen the car myself, but daughters rave of a super well-kept condition on the outside as well as on the inside. She has already tried it: “runs great”. She definitely wants to have a workshop look over it before a purchase. Winter tyres would be d at the price also go 300 €. Would the price be so ok? If it goes down so quickly in the price, it smells suspiciously like shopkeepers. Well, the Agila is not exactly a beauty, for my feeling. What do you think, can you buy it reasonably unconcerned? Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about the Agila and its strengths and weaknesses. What is special to pay attention to? What does it like to break? Does the engine type have known problems? Fuel consumption appropriate? Would really be grateful, who PS: According to the description he should have aluminium rims. I only see plastic wheel caps on the pictures, you too?. Maybe the winter bikes are already mounted (or still!!!).

Are there any Opel Karl owners here?
Hello guys, I drove the Opel Karl test last week and ordered it right away :-). Is there any more here that are currently waiting for their Karl? My dealer gave me the KW39 as delivery date, but usually he should be there 2 weeks earlier – let’s see? glg, Michael

[Karl]: FOH waiting room and order thread
We ordered our KARL on Wednesday. Full cabin (was manageable) and at a good price incl. 3 years warranty extension. Are very curious, because one buys the car so to speak blind. The engine should run quite cultivated and in the end it should look like on the only brochure/poster (red with 16er aluminium wheels, chrome clips on Neblers etc.). According to our FOH it will probably be nothing before the end of August. Hope, the Koreans make limp

Gear damage 4 years old Agila
Hello everyone… My Opel has been making quite mysterious noises at undertouring speeds for about 3 months now, it was such a quiet flickering (especially if it wasn’t warm yet). I had it checked by the contract workshop and a friend. Diagnosis: 80% gear damage (possibly even additional clutch). Can that be? After 4 years? I find more than outrageous from Opel… What does a new gearbox cost and can you not do something about it? S before it actually does not pay a fortune after 4 years.. Many thanks and greetings Katja

And can someone tell me how the control part is occupied, so which cable is for what? We have it with the Stromlaufplan von nem Reparaturbuch tries but it is not to be used. Thanks already!!!

Mystery around XE camwave expert help
Hello, the following question…. How do I recognize a C20XE camshaft with 100% security? It’s about the following: We made my revised XE fit again and had a known a second couple of XE camshafts lying around. So, now we thought that we look which looks better and then we install them. Pusterity cake!!! Common confusion prevailed because the camshafts had quite different numbers, certain numbers in another place or even not at all. So we took my old cams again because it went well with it. When everything was already installed I went to a LET engine which hangs in the hall in a Kadett convertible and screwed off the oil cover….. On the intake camshaft of this engine I could recognize the following number: 2091358 The same number is also on my XE camshafts. However, this is not a GM number, so it is not the GM logo before but just the number for itself. he was not on the camshafts of the buddy alerdings!!! So, now of course the question arises if I drive with turbo cams walking…which would be totally negative. According to the previous owner of the LET engine you know nothing by an increase in performance by XE camshafts. Here I give you now now all numbers that I have found on my camshafts, that would be these: Outlet: 2091358 and I think then came G425 (with the G I am not sure) Inlet: 2091358 and how i I didn’t find a 0 except four times. What am I going to do for a walk???

Ecotec engines
Hello guys, I drive Calli with Ecotec V6 engine, yesterday we sat together in a cozy round and I was put down by pretty much all other Opel drivers because I have a Ecotec engine. What’s so much worse about these engines??? I know they shouldn’t be so lively but good ok that can’t be all. I can’t hear expressions like “Ecodreck”. I’m driving 65 Tkm with my and except for smaller things I’m re I would like to hear your opinion about Ecotec engines or read them. Also the opponents of it and the reasons for it so that I can understand it. because yesterday nobody could tell me why the peculiar shit is…. Gruss Holle
