  • clacking when speeding up the boxer diesel

Hello everyone, I’ve been a Forester Diesel for over three years. I’ve driven about 100000 km now. The problem: I found a clacking noise (an extreme nailing) at the speed up, which then goes away again. Several times the valves were calibrated, on the computer. It was also determined that the vehicle did not do this alone. What should be in the state. After audition and trial driving by the master of my dealer were then at about 85000 km the injection nozzles changed to Kulanz. After that everything was fine. I drove now 100000 km and it starts again and that always in a warm condition. My dealer says now we have to look again. Of course the guarantee has now expired two months!!! Does anyone know the problem? Or has one of these heard already? Who can help me???

  • Defective drive shafts on new Forester

Hello Subaru Fansgemeinde, the drive shafts on my 2007 Forester make strong imbalance noises. Lt. Subaru dealer works the manufacturer on a solution. Until then one should be patient. Can this not affect other components?. By the fact that the noises with increasing kilometers (currently 2300) become ever louder, the statement of my dealer calms me little. Which way would you go in my place?

  • Legacy or Outback 3.0 with trailer

Dear community, recently I had the opportunity to drive a 2005 he Outback 3.0 automatic sample, because we are looking for a towing vehicle for our 1800 kg WoWa for a longer journey in Europe (even with less good road conditions). Our previous towing vehicle has come into existence and does not have any four-wheel drive. The Fzg. convinced us as such, the purchase nevertheless did not come about for various reasons. Therefore we are still looking for a Legacy or Outback with This motorization from the series 2003- 2009. What will not have found in the net are reports in trailer operation, also with regard to consumption. We consciously do not want a diesel and also no SUV or off-road vehicle, as we also use the Fzg. as a limousine for longer trips and therefore want to have a reasonable travel comfort. • Purchase advice: Legacy from 04 with 2.0 or 2.5ccm ???

Dear community, I have been forging for days after a purchase help for the idea to buy a young Legacy Kombi as a ‘construction site vehicle’. I tested the current 2.0 Kombi with LPG recently, but wonder if the previous 2.5er (which was available in the current Legacy before the 1st Facelift also in the non-outback) would be the better choice: Especially for one or other long distance in between. As far as read, the 2.5er is the constructive older engine than SOHC, but has s chon as much horsepower as the current 2.0er, which in turn does not come into the tuete in its previous 137hp variant at all… I also realize that the 2.5er was obviously cancelled only because of fleet consumption, only in the outback – and in North America as always a long-awaiting basic motorization – had survived. (Have known Subaru in Canada and learned to rattle). Who has experiences, what does your old bunny say? It is after all a difference whether you have 15000 Oe re spends for a 2.5er (3-4 years) or almost double for a current 2.0er. Or more clearly asked: Is the 2.5er to be recommended??? Especially with regard to performance, consumption and especially Zuuuuuueverlaessigkeit. Thank you for the answers!

  • Quick question about the XV trunk (chamber?)

Hello, Basically the XV seems to fit exactly for me, except for the trunk, which seems to be even smaller than that of the old Skoda Yeti. During the test drive I noticed this astonished, but forget to ask if there is still a cavity under the ground cover, which you can still use similar to in the T-Rock (after a test drive I always think of something I forgot to ask). As I remember it, the XV seems to me a very good one. equipped car for 2 people with luggage or 4 people with some hand luggage. After 2 Volvos, 1 Saab and a Skoda Yeti thought of as Downsizing (children are from the house), I am now looking for a new car – but I don’t want to buy a car from the VAG Group. SUBARU is of course driven here in the Bavarian/Austrian border area a little more often than in the rest of the Republic – and I would be very much praised by everyone. Perhaps someone can give me some information. Thanks for that in advance!

  • Subaru Legacy 2,5 L Purchase advice

Hello, I’m actually in the Mitsubishi forum, but for the current occasion I’m here now. My car (Space Wagon Bj. 98; 133 hp) has its first transmission damage 03′. After a transmission revision we then continued until the Easter holidays this year, until a heavy oil loss has slowed us down. (See Motor-Talk Theat ) So now I’m looking for another car. He should be able to pull a 1.5T WW without any problems, must be automatic, since my father can’t do it differently and can be cheap in maintenance. There are now 3 offers that interest me. I ask for a purchase advice for 1st car 1 2. car 2 3. car 3 So now I have a few questions about the car: Does the automatic transmission hold at normal load? (driving holidays and otherwise as a family car? What is the fuel belly, the tax and the insurance classification? Are there any weaknesses in these vehicles? Can you turn off the four-wheel drive? So wait now i ch looking forward to your answers and wish you a nice weekend MFG and thank you for your help

  • Automatic gearbox function at cold start

Hello, I drive a Subaru Forester 2.0 diesel with automatic transmission, year 2017. At temperatures below + 3 degrees, the automatic transmission does not switch up or down to the first 3-4 kilometers. The engine turns up forever and nothing happens. I then travel at 30 – 40 km/h. Manual switching does not work, the gear paddles are in this phase without function. After 3 -4 kilometers, almost at the same time with the extinction of the blue temerature lamp everything works again. Does anyone have an idea what the could be?

  • Subaru impreza boxer diesel engine oil loss

Hello. I’m new here in the community! Have bought me in dezember 2018 a subaru impreza hatchback 2.0 tdi boxer AWD 150 ps. Year of construction 2010 186000 km running power. DPF was removed. Anyway, I made a service. All filters changed and motor oil changed. 2 weeks later the engine starts to lose oil. The simmering between engine and coupling was changed. It was found that the crankshaft has a game all around. The subaru dealer meant I should to look around a complete replacement engine. Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything suitable yet. On 700 km the impreza needs about 0.5 l oil. I used a 5w30 motor oil for subaru. Is there somewhere a subaru motor dealer? Or something like that? I’m from Upper Austria.
