  • Thule roof box on Tarraco

Hello forum, can someone tell me if the Thule Motion 900 XXL fits on the Tarraco? From the dimensions (front carrier position to box back) this is just a few milimeters too tight. But on 3-4mm it can’t really happen with such a thing. Does anyone have any experience with the big box on the Tarraco?

  • Consumption Tarraco PHEV

Good evening together, I once created a separate thread for the consumption of the Tarraco e-Hybrid, because otherwise the pure Tarraco PHEV thread becomes too confusing or everyone writes something there on a different topic, but there is no connection between the topics anymore. So, now a thread for the consumption: I drove with my Tarraco delivered just two weeks ago so far 680 km. So far I have a consumption of 4.3 l/100km and 12.2kWh/100km according to the on-board computer. The consumption is as expected very different depending on the usage scenario. In advance: I charge the Tarraco whenever and wherever it goes and thus get the maximum possible for me out of the operation. Especially on the long distance this may be ok for a gasoline engine. For a PHEV I find this a little weak, because I expected more from the PHEV or full hybrid mode. My father drives a Ford Kuga Ecoboost BJ20 with 150hp (either PHEV/Mild/Full Hybrid) and comes on a similar basis. Although I look at the consumption values of the Ford Kuga PHEV, the Seat seems to be much weaker here with similar weight and performance data. Thus, I notice that the Ford Kuga PHEV tries to drive electric as often as possible when using the automatic hybrid mode. Seat, on the other hand, seems to rely primarily on the petrol engine and does not use the electric mode often/consequently enough. o completely in hybrid mode, he does not try to drive the battery completely empty, but still leaves something over. Ford does this differently/better. They drive the battery relatively strongly empty and then try to make progress mainly in hybrid mode. Let’s see. I’m going 280 km back with almost empty battery. I don’t want to drive faster than 120 km/h. Let’s see what the consumption (this time mainly in full hybrid mode) will say now. How are your experience value e? My somewhat higher consumption may also be related to the fact that the vehicle is still in a “entry mode” (no idea if it has programmed such a thing).

  • Let go of the brake, car drives on itself

Servus all here, I have the Ateca as the first owner since 2021. This is 1.5 TSI, 7-speed DSG, Facelift Model. And I have the following: Of course, if you let go of the brake in an automatic transmission, the car rolls itself. Before that I had Passat (also petrol) and it rolled without it giving gas. The new Ateca gives gas even when I release the brake. I understand that, is gasoline, needs gas. But, when braking and stopping at the traffic light I have the following: I brake and can re quite normal, when the gears of D2 aud D1 switch down and I brake/drive 2km/h to 0km/h, he gives gas again as well as when starting. That means he thinks that I want to start again, because I don’t hold the brake so strongly, I never brake full, and drive slowly. Is that so normal or not? It’s really always annoying to hear when driving in at the ample or when standing gas. He does that himself. But when I brake harder, it doesn’t happen… Lg

  • Does anyone have experience with oil change and inspection of leased vehicle?

My question is addressed to leasing vehicle drivers who did not have their service at Seat. My Cupra Ateca has to change oil in about 3 weeks, according to AI, has almost 20,000 km on the clock. I had an offer from my car dealership made, 273.- € only for oil changes. I find the liter price of motor oil around 25.- € really happy. He also does not allow to bring his own oil. Free workshops do this for half. Has one of you done this before and there were problems with d he return of the leasing car

  • DSG gearbox “explodes”

My Ateca 2.0 TDI has four-wheeled and 190 hp, is built in 2017 and now has 72000 km on the speedometer. Until yesterday I had no problems with the car, the vehicle was always in inspection as usual. Yesterday, however, it was quite unexpected “in the engine room” while driving through Avignon in Provence suddenly “schattering”, the car was jerking and it felt as if I had run over a bit of metal on the road. A few hundred meters further on. I am then again. and saw a liquid track behind the car and found metal parts on the ground behind the car. Diagnosis: Gear damage (parts of the housing have been blown away). On the one hand I have to see how the car and I come back to Switzerland, on the other hand I also take care of the damage repair. Even if my vehicle warranty has expired, I hope it’s cool on the part of Seat (can’t be that a gear just exploded). Have you had similar experiences with his Ateca? Is it known at best that certain transmission charges may have problems? I’ve been driving a car for several years, but a transmission damage with a four-year-old car amazes me very much… Lieber Gruss – Michael

  • Tank display petrol hangs at Aroma CNG !?

I have a problem with the tank indicator. Although I had filled some 5 liters of petrol with empty CNG gas tank and the broth was almost upper edge, the petrol indicator with empty CNG still counted from 30 km range down to 10 km. The tank should be full, but the indicator says “10 km”. What happened and what can I do? Must be ventilated? How does it work? What if the swimmer hangs? Does anyone have an explanation??? I was fortunate to then refuel CNG and still the Reichw I’m at a loss what I can do myself before I have to go to a workshop. I’m grateful for any help.

  • Interval brake fluid change

Hello, when buying my used Seat Arona TDI EZ 06/2019, inspection, oil change and TÜV would be made new. Inspection and oil change were due at the time quite normal. From my Skoda I know, that also the brake fluid is changed for the first time after 3 years and then every 2 years. At Seat is also so in the service table. But the dealer meant it only the water content is determined and then decided whether it has to be changed. Is that so new or wants the Hän so only save costs? Sunny greetings from Regensburg

  • Seat arona and auxiliary heating

Hello, Although the winter is almost over now but with such things you can deal with all year round. Although I have nothing against scratching or freezing the first 2km. (But I already have But I wanted to treat my arona to a stand heating alone to avoid cold starts. At the same time, the company Defa came across that already for quite a long time motor preheater builds. Of course a normal version of eberspächer or webasto are location-independent systems. But unfortunately also with with offers of 1800€ + In addition, the plants consume fuel which would be a bit annoying with me with Cng but understandable because otherwise it remains cold. But the plant only works if no reserve is on. And with only 9 liters is almost half already reserve on the tank clock. The Defa system would cost completely 340€ at with. I have a 230v socket both outside as well as in the garage and on the work also. The oil we heated by means of contact plate. According to reports r I guess that’s for 40-60 degrees of oil. So the rest of it isn’t far, and it just comes out warm air. What do you think? Does anyone have any experience with Tgi and heating?
