Hello, today I drove the Ateca 1.0 TSI to the test. It’s natural to “lock it out” as a weak engine. What should I say?. I was already very surprised at the start, the engine pulls the Ateca really well, feels almost “easy” and the engine is really quiet. Only when turning up, you feel and hear the 3 cylinders through, but not unpleasant. Also clear that there is not much more from 4000 tours, so better to switch up earlier. Al When my wife drove, you didn’t hear anything from the engine at all, she drives passively, never gets firmly on the gas and switches up already at 2000-2500 tours. Also on the highway was heard at 130/140 nix, same internal volume as on the highway. We did not drive faster, because in AT not allowed. The little one accelerates even from 120 really well and attracts adaptable. We were three with almost 300 kilos on board. So the engine is really a big surprise for me. After that with the 1. 5 TSI 130 hp (the dealer only had the Tiguan). Although the tiger seems richer and lightly a class higher, the engine was a gray one. Right at the start, we heard it roaring very rough and the “frequency” inside was unpleasant. Unfortunately, over the entire ride, even on the highway at 130 so strongly audible that we stopped the ride as it went right into the head. My wife and I had exactly the same feeling. Am really shocked by the engine, can that be? Now the Ateca will drive as 1.5 TSI 150 hp to have a comparison, but one thing I can say. I like the 1.0 TSI right away, really a fine engine and in the Ateca sooooooo quiet. Thank you Robert [From motor talk from the topic ‘1.5 TSI loud and rough, but the 1.0 TSI so quiet and hard to hear’.]

Preferred service partner no longer available
Hello community! Do you have that too? My service partner has been in my Seat Connect app so far. Since I have only had the vehicle since February, I have not yet had a service appointment. Now, however, the app reports: “Unfortunately, your preferred service partner is no longer available. Please select a new one.”. However, I know that my service partner is still a seat dealer and workshop, as we are also there with our second car (Seat Mii). Not enough yet. If you try to select a new Seat partner, there is not a single partner in the map in all of Germany. Does anyone know advice? Greetings Roland — Seat Ateca Xperience 1.4 TSI 7-speed DSG Bj 2022 Version of the Seat Connect app: 1.7.1

Air conditioning smells electrosmog-like
Since March we have a Leon ST FR 1.8l, the first months were great, but since the late summer the air conditioning smells really bad like electrosmog. Car was already twice to disinfect in the workshop, brought nothing at all: the smell was right after disinfecting again. As soon as the car is standing 30min or so it smells really strong at the beginning, after a few minutes it gets better. If it has stood longer it takes much longer until the smell is (almost) gone, a basic sound of stench is always in the air. Today after my wife left was a water puddle from the condensation water under the car (car was standing 1 day unmoved), the same stunk as what comes in from the ventilation. I always thought condensation does not smell at all… On the weekend I also noticed that coolant is missing and some liquid is collecting under the coolant tank. I then replenished (was 2cm under min) and removed all stains in the engine compartment. Ewish, since then you don’t actually see a bigger loss, but it drips a bit on the spot again, but where can I not find it. Does anyone have an idea what that might be? The smell from the climate comes when you just turn on the ignition, engine doesn’t have to run. Could there be a connection with the coolant loss? I always thought these are separate systems. Main concern at the moment: it’s the vehicle from the mommy and junior (2 years), what can smell there how not to be healthy. Maybe I imagine it, but I myself get headache from the smell. As an appendix an image of the re-forming stain, at the weld one sees the damp spot.

Seat Tarraco Codes VCDS
Dear Forum municipality, since 15.06 we welcome our Seat Tarraco FR with full equipment in delfin grey. On 14.06 our son was born and now also our Tarraco can be fully tested 😀 I have already done a few small codings myself, since I have already gained some experience with my Leon in it. Currently however, I am easily overwhelmed and asked to find the appropriate coding for the Infinite Light. This is only possible at dusk or in the dark and I would like to unlock it in general during the day. Does someone have an idea and know what value has to be adjusted for it? Generally, the topic of coding is a little mau here and could be refreshed again. I am also happy to help other users from the Mülheim an der Ruhr area with codings and to take them on site 🙂 Listen gladly and am grateful for the help.

Tablet holder FR seats
Today was the first handcrafting lesson for the project tablet holder with the FR seats with integrated headrest. After we have our Tarraco now for 4 days and my girls absolutely want to have a holder I thought about how to implement it. I cut 4 woods that fit exactly into the opening from both sides. That is quite tricky. In the front wooden clasps rampamuffs are used for the later screws. Everything is still with leather as well. The tablet holder is then screwed with the two blocks. Due to the conical shape of the hole in the seat you can screw the two blocks firmly. I have at the moment only bolted the blocks with 2 spax for testing. That holds already bomb-proof.

Let’s tear the rear brakes
Has anyone already observed that the T. has to get rid of itself after several days of standing when starting? With my T it bangs sometimes violently before the brakes are free and the car starts to move in a jerky way. I had the phenomenon with a passat, here the result was that the brake covers at the rear side (namely only the two inner ones) wear off. Also the discs were damaged. The rear brakes had to be completely renewed…. after approx. 8000 km..

Buy Ibiza?
Hi, I wanted to buy a new Ibiza (re-import), but I don’t know anything about the car, I didn’t drive it yet. I thought you could give me a few tips. Want to know what it costs to keep up (100hp), insurance+tax. I know that’s hard to say, because of percentages, discounts etc. The type class would be enough for me. And what spare parts would have interested me, too. Won’t make a lot of difference to golf, will it? Are you satisfied? or you had special problems with the car. Edit: If you can still get something out of the car visually, who has a few pictures. Thx, Fjuschei

Seat Toledo 1.8 20V runs cold only on 3 cylinders
Hello, I need a tip from you if the engine is cold the engine only runs on 3 cylinders. If it is warm the runs normal and stinks of gasoline. We checked the compression, everything ok. New spark plugs and cables as well as the ignition coil renewed. Can this be on the temperature sensor on the engine? It does not seem to work, the indicator does not go high although the engine is warm. Lg. Achim

Seat Altea XL 1.9TDI Cooling System
Hello everyone! Since the search can’t help me and I seem to have a mistake in thinking…… I have to ask you. I changed the coolant flange at my seat, including seal. After that I wanted to ventilate the cooling circuit, but after I start the engine, both fans start. Engine does not get warm and can not be ventilated Coolant is felt, but air inside the temperature sensor is plugged (has worked before the change) What am I doing wrong? Is there a fan screw or must be filled with vacuum? Can the sensor break when changing? Lg Daniel Seat Altea XL; Built 2009; 1,9Tdi BLS Motor
