  • Learning to use a car battery after it’s disconnected?

    Hello, suppose the car (Arona, new, start-stop battery) is not driven for six months, is in the underground car park, no power outlet. I would like, like with previous cars, simply to disconnect the battery. Then it was still well charged after return. But it means now that the modern batteries then have to be re-learned. What does that mean exactly? It is the same battery, is it not recognized? If I connect it again, can I then start and drive again? Can I then, say the next day, drive to the workshop so that the necessary things are done there? Thank you for the help!

    Hello everybody, I am proud owner of a new Seat Aronas. Now the winter is coming soon and I would like to let winter tires on with the series rims and buy also immediately new summer rims to use my current tires further. Unfortunately I have only some idea about the matter and the Seat dealer refers only to the ABE (http://www.alutec.de/…/class.fileaway_downloader.php?…). In short I would like the Alutec ikenu (graphit-frontpolished) with 205/55 In the ABE I find my Arona with the direct identifier. Only there is the A01 as a condition: “After the implementation of the technical amendment, the vehicle is immediately an officially recognized expert or examiner for motor vehicle traffic or a test engineer of a monitoring organisation according to point 4 of Appendix VIIIb to the StVZO for the implementation and confirmation of the ABE Does this mean that I have to pass by the TÜV/Dekra? Can the Seat dealer also do that? Or can’t the combination at all? Thank you in advance, TheTick

  • Air conditioning in Ateca

    Hello dear forum participants, I was able to test for the first time a Seat Ateca 150 hp diesel all-wheel with manual transmission. I noticed that despite the 0.5 degree classification it is difficult to regulate the air conditioning. After a short driving time it becomes clearly too warm or too cold without adjusting the climate controllers. Who has made this experience yet ?

  • Turbocharger jerks

    Moin again. I thought about it, because I have a good colleague who does everything for me for little to drive my Ibiza even longer. Meanwhile the 390.000 around hump of it I drove 310,000. Body is still ok for a few times to come over the tuv. However, the ZMS must made with clutch, the dampers changed (to that I made another contribution), and the turbo also starts to pull ( but only when the winter time starts ). How can I find out which r Turbocharger I can take? Don’t have to be such an outdated part on eBay enough. Should be enough for 1-2 years. Because I’m not driving cheaper at the moment. I’ve seen so Turbos there already from 150-300€ I probably come under 1000€ for all parts ( ZMS, chassis, and Turbo ) well away for another two years to drive. Thanks for constructive contributions.   • Seat Ibiza Oil consumption Built 4/2023 150 hp, EVO2 engine

    I picked up my Seat Ibiza in April 2023 (corrected) and he had to be surprised already the 1.5 TFSI, EVO2 engine, goes really great. After now 15,000 km the oil level control lights up suddenly. Since I was just near the Seat/VW dealer, he looked briefly and meant, that is quite normal, because at the delivery from the factory oil is only filled on Mininum. He has just 1l oil refilled (0-W20) and meant there is no recall, the engine may according to specification approx. I can’t believe that, but in recent years I’ve driven almost only new cars and have never had to refill oil there – are there similar experiences?

I found different information about this on the Internet, but would assume something like this in the direction: oil changes annually or after 15,000 km, depending on what first occurs inspection for the first time after 24 months, after every 12 months What else comes to me within the first 36 months, what I here Have forgotten?
