  • Long-term experience Touch control Leon IV

Hello everybody, I drove the new Seat Leon 4 test on the weekend and was surprised, even though I have read a lot about the new touch operation, that really EVERYTHING is running over the monitor and there are no buttons at all. Even the (de-)activation of start/stop, the opening/closing of the individual ventilation nozzles or the activation of the parking aid only works via the touchscreen. Since I can estimate it at the moment quite hard, whether you get used to it or n icht, I wanted to ask if someone can already give “long-term experience” or experiences from everyday life. I wonder, for example, if it doesn’t bother me at some point, if I have to search the menu after every start, where I can turn off the start/stop. Is there any “short-cuts” that I can create in the start menu? Greetings Marco

  • Leon Cupra used buy – Problems

Hello, I want to renew my second car in short. I like the Leon Cupra already very much, but in the forum I have read very often that the owners already have solid defects. Almost everyone has filled a water craze. I have also often gelsen of turbo damage. The small things in the interior / processing are not of interest at all. What is really about this? Why does Cupra lose water? Where? Is there perhaps a year of construction / model care, from when cupra overarb I’ve never found this in the forum, so the new thread would be great if the owners could say something about it. That would help many people who want to have a used cupra. Thank you very much.

  • Battery care at minus 15 degrees – At night, hang on to the charger?

Hello dear community My battery in the Seat Leon 5F is now 8 years old and still the one that was installed in the vehicle at new purchase. For winter I have now charged the battery for the first time, because it was 60 percent according to the menu in the vehicle. Since then it has been constantly at 80 percent and does not cause any problems for years. Now there should be very unusual temperatures in the west here all week, partly minus 15 degrees at night and during the day permanent frost. To hang on to the charger for protection overnight in order not to have to experience a nasty surprise? Look forward to your opinion

  • Cordoba squirts from the vents

Huhu here I am after a long time again ?? Yes my Seat Cordoba bj 98 is still there ?? have put in now again 300€ and I thought I have now quiet again but would have been too nice. Last week he froze me despite frost protection, I thought I had been lucky again, I got right when I noticed it but somehow it’s not true. I drove today and suddenly white smoke came out of the vents, in short it got messy But the stench was quickly gone. Turn right, hood open and there was a little bit of smoke under the engine. Temperature was not too hot at half so, heating went but somehow it seemed hotter to me. Did the car start again a little later Ventilation and the rest of the smoke came out…after that nothing more. Then I drove back home, he drives quite normal, doesn’t make any noises. The disc has been fogged quite quickly before, but he’s had that for a long time. , but it doesn’t get free by now. Looks almost as if it was greasy, but could still be on the new disc…but I did make the really clean ????? sort maybe also mention that I have to refill water very often, the day before yesterday I put new ones in with frost protection and today as that was I looked again for water and it was again under minimum. When I wanted to refill it came out by the pressure the water where it didn’t come out so ll…so I guess the water tank is in the a*sch. Well, can you tell me what the cause of the smoke is? What broke down there? Please don’t tell me it’s the heat exchanger under the dashboard ?? dear greetings Sabrina I hope you can help me

  • Empty battery at Ibiza 6J

Hello together, the Ibiza my wife has a small problem and I hope for a tip from the professionals. Since about September the battery is empty after a few days of standstill. If the vehicle is driven regularly everything is no problem. If the car stands 3-7 days (always different) then it can not be started anymore. If you give starter or charge the battery overnight with a charger everything is ok again. At some point we have bridged the vehicle times and are to a free We rkstatt (our dealer unfortunately doesn’t exist anymore – how nice that we bought from him because of the great service promise). The master hung his meter there on the battery and that showed 12V. Therefore, his statement that everything is ok with the battery. But he also said that he can’t imagine that there is a power supply or similar on the vehicle in a switched off condition. We should test this once, in which we clean the battery for a few days. Does the battery still have juice afterwards that would indicate another consumer. Does the battery no longer have juice due to the battery. However, the test seems rather pointless to me, because the vehicle sometimes has the problem even after 7 days. My question to the people with technical knowledge: Does it make sense simply to change the battery? Or is it more sensible to let the vehicle measure (if yes, what does that cost about)? n doesn’t make any sense in my eyes as I said, but I also like to hear your opinion. Thanks & a lot of greetings Sascha P.S.: Yes, I used the search. Yes, I also found something on the topic. No, it didn’t help me, otherwise I wouldn’t create a new thread. So thank you to all who want to help with constructive answers 🙂

  • Engine cannot be switched off

Good evening, since a few days we have had big problems with our Cordoba diesel. It all started with a defective taillight. In the workshop then some crap was tapped. We brought the car with a defective taillight and now the engine can no longer be turned off, even though the ignition key has been pulled off. The “master workshop” does not find the error. It was so that this workshop dismantled the complete wire harness and told us that we should take the car. the other day again, at the moment only the taillight would not work. Then I drove home, then came the Supergau, on the way the turn signal went crazy, the light went on and off, nevertheless the switch was off and finally the engine could not be turned off at home. You can pull off the key, motor runs on quite normally. We suspect that there was a short circuit when the workshop removed the old wire harness. We would certainly not have even So, now they don’t know why it’s not possible to turn off the engine. Quotation: Well, the car is driving. Then choke it off every time it doesn’t go off!” I’m ready and ready. What can that be? We can’t drive the car like this, especially since he has to go to the TÜV in August. Please help us!

  • Seat Ibiza SC Recommended?

Hello, because of the advertising I came across this offer:http://www.seat.de/content/en/brand/en/models/ibiza-sc/discover.html Since I sign my Feste Arbeitsverzeichnis and the next 2 months of the Tüv for my Golf 2 is going to be a new one. Financially, I like the offer very much, the car would take as it is for the 99€ a month. Actually only one car to drive to colleagues and in the morning to the station, so no long distance chord would have to take it the next years. So I don’t need a 1000hp engine to bat me on the highway with anyone every morning, so I think the small machine is enough. Is that a good offer? Are there better cars? Do I buy a car where something is always broken? Thanks for your advice!

  • Ibiza Style – Technology / Questions

Hello together, I’m looking for a new car. Now I stumbled over the new Ibiza, which looks admittedly really slick. Touched clean, fits as far as possible. It is an immediately available car in the car dealership. Since it is to be a “cheap” second car the config looks like this: – Model: Style – Color: White – Motor: 75 HP – Air conditioning – Tempomat – MFL in leather – LED TFL and rear lights – Radio “Touch Color” with BT – Light sensor – 15″ Alufelge n – EL FH at the front and at the back If there is a “all-world car” in the sense of “the most important thing is in it”. But now I have a few questions: – Light sensor: Does light only mean light on/off, probably not with rain sensor? Where does it sit? Rain/light sensor is listed separately in the Seat configuration. => In the VW Group, I only know either nix or rain/light sensor. – Front Assist: Is complete series (NCAP is thanks) someone knows details about it? r up to what speeds is the front assist active? Are the following retrofits possible? – Middle armrest – Parkpiepser at the rear (original) Does one of you have the 75hp engine and can tell about it? Please no comments a ́la “75hp is not at all” “what a crutch” ect… there are also people who are not able to spend for “full hut” cars, I even know that it is not a racing car Thank you!

  • Ibiza 6J TDI no longer starts

Hello my Ibiza TDI 6J Bj 2013 with 66 KW and only 98000 KM does not start. 2 workshops are in despair. It started with a defective line to the injector which has burst and the injector was loose. So new line and 2 new injectors. But it does not start. Now high pressure pump and pressure sensors waved. Again nothing. Then diesel filter and fuel pump changed. Same result. According to the workshop the pressure does not get out of the pump. Then again pump out other car changed – same result. My pump ran impeccable in another car. With start-up aid the engine starts immediately. Now the workshop wants to change the engine control unit. I stopped this now because I can’t imagine that and the costs are too high. Does anyone have a good idea ? car ran impeccable before.
