  • Wheel bearings broken after tyre change?

Hi allemann, I recently changed the wheels at my Impreza bought in the spring or I wanted to change them, but I failed at first with a wheel nut. At the back right a wheel nut could not be loosened. Extreme effort was first in vain, until I extended the lever with a tube and put myself on it(!) – then the mother slowly detached. I turned off the mother (still very difficult) and had to find out that the weight of the wheel was too high. What happened here? Was the wheel nut screwed by the previous owner (or any workshop) bent on it? Can something like this happen at all? That would be the first question, another one still follows. I cursed of course, but then put the winter bikes on it and also tightened to the broken bolt with the (probably no longer usable) nut. She even let herself be caught under extreme effort. Since then you can hear a roaring sound from the rear axle, starting at about 40 km/h louder and louder, at about 90-100 km/h it disappears again. Is there somehow the possibility that through this whole action with the wheel nut and the bolt the wheel bearing was affected? I once had a Fiesta with a broken wheel bearing, which sounded similar, so I come to it… I wasn’t in the workshop with this thing yet, have ic h now soon. Would still like to hear a few opinions here before. Greetings Hansi

  • Purchase decision XV 2.0i Comfort Lineartronic totally unsettled

Hi, so I was last with the dealer and tried the XV 2.0i Comfort automatic. So I have to say I like the car quite well. The discounts that the dealer gives are nice but made me ponder. 3000€ Subaru action 260€ my car 1080€ house discount That’s a lot of discounts and I would pay for the car 22000€. That’s all nice to look at and how and what the dealer still earns I can’t say about his conditions, but ic h it is surprising that the dealer gives so many discounts and yes it is a dealer and therefore the German version no EU vehicle. So I went on the net to look for how the people are so satisfied with the XV, I let the report of the car newspaper of the diesel out of consideration. One let again and again about problems with the brake discs and the brake blocks and how it should be different, Subaru usually says that the guarantee in the case does not count l it is a wear part. But then I ask myself nevertheless 7000 km drive and the brakes are over that can only be guarantee. But like it is now the customer the guilt is pushed into the shoes he would drive too carefully or he would brake too often blablabla. The paint quality should not be so doll, then I would take desert khaki, that not so the problem. The exhaust should also not live very long. After I have read all the reports about this And actually it was already certain that I would buy the car, I am absolutely not sure anymore, because I find that you can expect something at a list price of 2799€. How are your experiences with the car, were the braking problems possibly stopped from 2014? Are these problems also known with the new Forester model, otherwise I would possibly spend a little more on a car and grab that. thx

  • 105000 inspection. What may it cost and which workshop to recommend?

Hello. I own an Impreza 2.0 with a gas system. Now I’m due for the 105Tkm inspection and I read everything about “900-1500 € solltest du einplanen”. Now I just went to the first Subaru workshop, which Google spat out in my vicinity, and asked the price. A few minutes later the call: 2400-2700 € and about 1.5 weeks I would have to do without the good piece. And that would be only the “planned” inspection. That means without,( wa of course, the price difference seemed pretty bad to me. So directly to another workshop (also Subaru again) and also there the information: “about the 2500 € around”. All free workshops reject the work in principle. Then there is always only the statement “we do not have the tool to expand the engine. Could then still do it, but takes 3-4 weeks and costs with certainty ni cht less than 2000€” I wonder, of course, where others get the work done for almost half of the amount? Can someone recommend me a reliable workshop in the area of Essen (NRW)?

  • Purchase advice Subaru Impreza WRX STi Year of construction from 2006

Hello guys, I would like to buy a Subaru Impreza WRX (STI) from the year of construction 2006. My budget is up to approx. 20000. Now I have a few questions. – Which model variant can you recommend to me? -How much KM should I look for if it is to remain as maintenance-free as possible in the future? -How much are the follow-up costs or maintenance costs? – How much does a Subaru cost on average without being pulled over the table? – Does the car have special failures/problems w should I pay attention to when buying? Thank you very much

  • Now boxer owners

Hello! I have already driven an old motor talker and various brands (Nissan, BMW, Mazda, Honda). Yesterday I bought a metallic blue 2006 Legacy Outback 2.5i AWD (with automatic). The good comes first hand and has only 60.000km on the clock. The condition is as if he had just run off the tape. The previous owner (87, retired) paid extremely well attention to the car without standing it “caputt”. Since this is now my 10th car, I already have a lot of experience with all possible But I didn’t find anything with this car at best, everything ok. Drives like a new car. I’m excited, but the car makes a solid impression. Does not have any unnecessary frills and drives, hopefully without mucking. Greetings, Zeph

  • Outback 2011 2.0D Response Behavior Bad – Turbocharger? – Control unit?

Hello community, I have a problem with my outback. The response behavior is terrible -> about 2100 rpm – 2-4 seconds until the turbo starts (no matter in which gear). Furthermore, I have a constantly “jumping” when accelerating. The jerking is not bad, but noticeable and therefore annoying. I was already at my dealer and there was the diagnosis: Turbocharger broken. The turbo was changed (culence) and everything was fine……… for a week. After that suddenly that was the same e Problem! Does any of you have experience with such problems? I am grateful for every advice! Thanks already for the help LG Markus

  • Not LMM but intake hose defective

Hello, I recently had the prblem that my Legacy Diesel when it was warm did not bring any more power. I could read out errors (P010012 ? or so similar) “air mass meter defket. So thing removed and cleaned with brake cleaner. Unfortunately without success, so other part pure, graucht für 70,– € (new 220,–!!!). Moto still does not move. So off to the friendly. It left out errors: air mass meter! But it does not clean the part at the air filter but under the cover on the engine e in other part! The part was totally messed up, so cleaned and test drive. Error hint is gone now but engine still does not pull. The young friendly master hears a hissing and thinks, he knows what it is. He removes the charge air cooler and actually, there is a crack in the thick intake hose. New hose on it and the engine could pull away saddle tugs again. Cost 61,– hose, 36,– control and installation plus VAT. makes around 120,– €! But the car runs and car and Driver is fine again. (I can return the used LMM from ebay). VG

  • Recommended purchase Subaru Forester SH 2.0D

Hello dear Subaru specialists, as a long-time member of the golf club I am now looking for a combination with four-wheeler. In my research for possible types and models I quickly hit the Forester. Even if it is actually rather an SUV, it would meet my requirements. The following basic data precede me: Year of construction ca from 2011, mileage up to 60,000 km, AHK desirable, but I would also upgrade to the emergency. What I have read so far seems to be very good for the car. However, the first diesel engines are reported with engine damage, which should probably be fixed from a certain model year on. Therefore, my question: from which year of construction the child’s disease is switched off? What else do you have to pay attention to when buying a used SH 2.0D? How does it come that the vehicles manchaml with combi bruach 5.9L and CO2 emission of 155g/KM and sometimes with 6.4L and 170g/Km? Questions about questions, I hope that can be helped here. Thank you. and greeting Dirk

  • Questions about the Legacy

Hello, colleagues of Subaru, I had thought about looking at a Legacy (if necessary a combi) in the near future. From the year of construction, probably one of the older models, about 1992. I would prefer a combi, so should be a 2.0i. Or is it enough smaller too? What tips can you give me about this type of vehicle, are there any things to consider ? Were there weak points in these vehicles ? Engine, transmission or similar ? Control or insurance high ? How does the consumption beat to book ? Many questions, I know … but maybe someone can help me. Thanks already in advance !

  • Forester Diesel – purchase recommended??

Hello dear Subaru community! I’m new here because I’m playing with the idea of buying a Forester Diesel. If I agree with the dealer because of the price, a 2011 of the Comfort series would be considered. I’m already reading here in the forum for a few days and I’m a little confused about frequently addressed DPF problems, complaints about bad paintwork, rust and various other defects. I drive about 25 TKMs a year, mainly rural roads, little urban operation and occasionally Autobahn. I realize that there is no car, which is free of problems. I am currently driving an E-Class T-model from 2006, 6 Zyl. Diesel that I want to give up due to the mileage (200 TKM) promptly. And even with this vehicle, which I really like otherwise, expensive repairs have not been spared, even more often than expected. I am now simply looking for a reliable, economical car. The Subaru would be for me because of the four-wheel drive and because of the space offered. Is it recommended from your point of view to purchase the Forester? How are your experiences? Has someone with a similar claim profile experience. Have you regretted your purchase or would you do it again? Thank you already in advance for helpful comments. Peter
