Hello I have run since August 2011 a Forester built in 2003 2.o ltr. 125 Ps approx. 118000 km. The car is ok, only at different intervals the engine control light goes on. I had the error read out diagnostic Lambda probe. My workshop wanted to install me a complete Kat. with which I do not agree. I checked with the Dekra the exhaust values was everything ok. Maybe someone can help me. Thank you in advance

Say hello 🙂
Hello to the round. I’ve been browsing the forum for a long time as a guest. Now I decided to register here. Many reports here helped me well in the decision of an all-wheeler. I was insecure but now the Subaru Forester XT 2.5 Bj. 2006 with 114 000 buy the clock in my garage. It was a very good decision until now and again a thank you to all here who have written valuable tips for this car in the form. I drove a Renault Megane III station wagon with 90 hp. Therefore the Forester was already a little positive shock for me. My wife is also fire and flame I hope to find many valuable contributions here. I think you can see or write yourself LG

Best four-wheel drive?
Hello guys! After I bought a Justy as a winter car and got some information about Subaru the question now arises to me: Which manufacturer builds the best all-wheel drive system? Audi boasts in the advertisement I just read to have equipped a saloon (1982) with all-wheel drive. Subaru was already there earlier? Especially when it comes to the rally cars what is the difference/advantage between the symmetric all-wheel drive, Quattro or the Mitsubishi all-wheel drive… I hope hi he’s got some tech champions of such a clue MfG ICBM

Consumption of oil during roasting has increased ….
Hello, after my Subaru Brat got new head seals on its EA81 engine, the oil belly has increased from 1litre to 1000KM to about 3litres per 1000KM…. The oil has remained the same viscosity (10w40) and also 15W40 does not reduce consumption noticeably What can have gone wrong? I can’t really discover a connection, except that a ventilation may be tight and the engine may build up too high pressure in the crankcase. Who has an idea? Driving is not really funny … Maybe even interesting : During the last workshop stay, besides the head seals, the spark plugs and the interrupter contact were also changed. Since then it also starts much worse and you have the feeling that he also has a few ignition triggers from time to time Gruss Norbert

WRX STi in the new Auto Motor Sport …
Hi guys, have just read the test of the new WRX STi in the latest edition of the Auto Motor Sport – FIRST SAHNE !!! The author must be a real freak/fan – it is very unusual that a Japanese car in the AMS will be rated so positive. So – buy and read quickly !!! LG, harald-hans P.S. all good still in the new year SEND: have just seen that on page 14 there is still a “mini report” about the S204 !

Pop off valve shut down?!
hello together… I’ve been thinking about installing a pop-off valve in my Subaru legacy for some time now… now these are not quite legal in Switzerland, or rather not at all! now I wonder if it would not be possible to install an additional valve to bypass the pop off… so that during the ride I could turn off the treacherous hissing when our friends and helpers appear!?

Is that still true?
Hello Subaru community, when I was at the Subaru-Konzi yesterday to register for a test drive, the salesman told me that if I drive the car “good”, it lies in the driving readings loosely above the factory specifications (I am interested in a 2.0i with 101kW) It used to be important to drive in an engine, and it was important not to let the car turn out on the first 3000 – 5000 kilomates. But the times are actually over, right? What do you think about the “drive-in” n”? Does that bring what? Or can you confidently move the engine from the first kilometer? Thanks and greetings Oliver

My Impreza WRX buy
huhu so I would like to buy a Subaru Impreza WRX in December/January from 2003, but I still have a few questions. I will drive away work and girlfriend/leisure trail around 25,000 km a year, so I want to have as little km as possible and should cost it max. 30’000 fr (yes, I am Swiss ) Would like to buy me one by 20’000 km, as I will still have a guarantee… still 80’000…until there is 100. So now to the questions… : – There is a difference between the 2003er and 2004er? – Do you have warranty even if the brakes or clutch fail? – How safer is an impreza and how much protects the steel cage really ? is it safer than a 330er BMW ? – How vulnerable is the WRX ? how long does it live ? just want to have it very long ! – for the price there is actually no faster/better car (5.9sec) right or ? Sometimes I think about buying a BMW 330 Ci (2001) because it is more comfortable inside but does not bring the wrx performance… w Wouldn’t you take a bmw ? that would be thank you, GREEEZ

How to estimate the current Outback / Legacy?
Hi guys, so, it could be that I have to look around for a new mobile kit soon. That’s where the Subaru Outback came into my mind. 2.4 liters, 160 hp. For my taste a very nice station wagon. But now it’s the case that I actually want a car which is not only beautiful but also robust. And robust also means that the part has to last forever, unchaputtbar so to speak. With my current car it’s after 82 Tkm of engine oil consumption. I still don’t know. But I don’t find that reassuring. I’m afraid that a somewhat more expensive repair will be due again. Only in September did I moan 600 Eur for a defective water pump. The car is 4.5 years old. At the mileage and the age all in all disappointing – especially since the car was not exactly cheap. Therefore, I want a car that just doesn’t abandon me by engine at least 150 Tkm. My brother once had an old Opel Kadett. The box he has 260 TK M moves, without engine problems. So now my question to you: How is the Subaru Outback or Legacy to be evaluated with the engine? The car should not be older than 2004, so the new model. What are your experiences? Are there any problems? Write to me everything you have to say. But please not: “Only the Subaru is the right car” or something, I would like to have relatively objective opinions (if that is possible at all 😉 ) Thank you Oliver P.S. Since to me also the ak tuelle Honda Accord Combi very much likes, there is the same text in the corresponding area 😉

Dealer does not want to issue a receipt
I again: I bought the L1800 from a Subaru dealer and paid in cash when taking over in the presence of my girlfriend. During various remedial appointments I asked him for a receipt of the purchase amount, but he refused, and stated that he had only “run through” the car, so had sold in the customer’s order, and he would also have received the money from him. I think that’s not true, and he only wants to protect himself from any claims on my part. D Still, what can I do? I have a right to a receipt, right? Does he have to repair the car until it is actually technically perfect (I don’t even talk about rust here)? For example, the holder of the left main headlight is torn, on the cooler the slats detach. Do I claim to have a receipt of the cash payment from him? Does he have to repair until the biggest things have been removed? I thank you for every hint! Thomas
