Hello, the problem has been going on for a long time, but it has never been as extreme as this morning (-7° outside temperature): the engine started normal, but after a few meters of driving it didn’t pull at all at all (1st gear). Give it gas or not made no difference. Then I ran right and watched it idle, it ran extremely jerky, like an ancient tractor. The tachometer was near zero and even now gas giving had no effect at all. n turned off and restarted after a minute. Now he ran better (though a bit tough), but I was able to drive. In a warm condition then as always, everything was fine and no jerks. Oh, when I said the problem existed for a long time I thought that he jerked or pulled heavy every now and then after the cold start – but then the problem did not exist for a long time at all. Just like today it was never. By the way, the motor control light did not glow during the jerking and an OBD2 reader did not report any stored errors. Where do you start here? Lambda probe would be the first one in my mind, but there would have to be stored errors..? mfg N

OUTBACK Bj 2000 clutch stinks
Hello Did me as a “winter slut” an outback 2.5 Bj 2000 with 120,000km. Since recently I have the feeling, the clutch no longer separates – it smells like clutch and when starting, especially in 1 and 2 gear the car jerks on when starting. At about 96.00km already the clutch disc as well as the pressure plates and flywheel has been renewed. May now not like to suspect, that everything can be changed again. It is certainly a not completely unknown problem – there is in some r Form inexpensive alternatives ?? I also have 2 questions: Behind the steering wheel – still in front of the speedometer sits a switch… What is this for? And where does the 2nd sliding roof go on ? the switch at the top only activates the sliding roof over the driver. Would I be pleased to get a few helpful answers. Good ride

Put Legacy Outback higher?
Hello, I have a maybe a somewhat unusual question? Before I might switch to the Forester came the idea to raise my outback year 2008 in order to gain more ground row and to have more comfortable entry. Has someone ever put the outback higher here? Are there longer springs and dampers? Do even those from the Forester fit? VG Dietmar

Buying decision, outback, forester or are the requirements too high?
Hello and a nice Saturday to all, I am currently looking for a new car. So far I drive an e39 530i M-equipment and look for something better suitable to pull trailers over a dirt road, to drive everyday with to work and to push sometimes deeper into the forest. On the trailer stands a Suzuki sj for the trial and overall weighs with trailers together at most 1400kg. You simply have to drive with the team to the farthest corners In order to arrive at the driving routes, partly up to the day construction. Furthermore there are photos and exploration tours to the bunkers to Poland, there should be no extreme terrain mastered but bitle what should be possible. (sandweg, mudweg,) Since I come from a fully equipped bmw I do not want to switch to a hotted cart, it should already bitle what put under the hood and also in the interior not remember 90s. From the price up to max 8000 Euro. bj 2001. From 170hp up. 4 doors. More space in the trunk than my limo. Consumption under 14l. I myself have an outback with 3.0 engine from 2004, but pact of my intention? The engine is just because of the fun factor, am only 30 years LG Sascha Oh no question on the edge, with me in the street someone has an impreza station wagon, which sounds so nice to boxer motor, does the Outback / Forester sound like that? Do you usually only know that from the wrx cars.

Purchase aid V70 vs Subaru Forester
Hello, my wife and I are looking for a used car, because our 97 A4 1.8T has already over 200000km down and we are absolutely not convinced by Audi, due to countless repairs. After a several weeks search we have come to the narrow selection of 2 very different vehicles. A Forester 2.0 Turbo built in 2002, 177hp with 50000km for 1500€ and a V70 D5 Premium built in 2002 163hp with 70000km for 1900€ We drive about 17000km a year, four-wheel would be The Volvo is a lot better equipped and we like it a little better than the Subaru. For the Subaru it speaks that it is less prone to repair. From the insurance classification both are almost the same, the V70 of course costs more tax for it consumes less. we would like to buy both cars, but for that the money is not enough and would also be meaningless. a thread into a Volvo and a Subaru forum, I am grateful for all the tips! PS: Alternatively we have already driven a Forester 2.0 converted to LPG and a Saab 9-5 3.0 TDi, the 2.0 Forester did not offer the driving pass of the turbo, the Saab should be very vulnerable to the 3.0 diesel engines (we only drove after the test drive).

LPG net tank volume question
With my OB 1000 km with LPG behind me. The tank was almost gross 66l and should be net at 53l. I drove the tank completely empty now. But when the tank was refueling it was at 47.5 liters. The range was at a consumption of approx. 12.5l at 380km. I am in principle satisfied with the consumption. Only the net volume and therefore the range seems too small. Is that normal? Greeting s

Buy Impreza
Hi I play with the thought of buying a Subaru Impreza and have a few questions. I hope you will help me further ^^ In any case I want more than 150 hp that means preferably an Impreza 2.0 WRX Sti with such 40000 km. 1. Which price range do I have to calculate? 2. How reliable is the car? 3. Rust? That would be the most important …

Subaru AWD vs. Audi quattro
Hi since no one from the Audi Forum could help me try out here I wanted to know what the difference is between these two four-wheel systems. My second question: Does Subaru have a permanent four-wheeler like quattro or is it a 100% front-wheeler in normal operation and only switches the rear axle on like 4Motion???? I read that the Justy GX has a kind of 4Motion four-wheeler system but doesn’t know if that’s right Thanks

Check Engine, 4WD?
Hello together, I have set myself a Legacy 2,2 Bj. 91 switch for the winter. the following problem now. It always lights up this nice red lamp, the previous owner says he has had it checked but it is nothing broken, I notice from driving oh nothing, maybe that he was standing a little unround but minimal. What can this mean, can one delete the self anyhow? Or anything clean? km stands 220000km. And the second: How does this with the four wheel? he always has A llrad or only if I pull the lever? When and how do I use it, in standing or under driving? Unfortunately, there is no instruction…

Subaru Forester 2.0X, Active/Exclusive, 150 hp petroler as tractor for a caravan
Hello together, As from VW Betrogener and now also diesel doubters I intend to buy now a Subaru Forester 2.0X, Active (or Exclusive), 150 HP petroler as tractor for a caravan. The values on the paper seem neat to me, but a few tips from you Subaru and especially Forester connoisseurs would be great. The outback is a little too expensive for me, otherwise it would be a choice. I don’t own a caravan and would like to rent it for the first time. (have camping experience with tent and also camper in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, France and the USA). The caravan should have a maximum weight of 1,700 kg, if I remember the 85% rule – with a permissible total weight of the Forester of 2,015 kg. What do you think about the above-mentioned Forester generally as a tractor for such a caravan when traveling to the above-mentioned countries (mostly on usual, partly but also steeper roads, sometimes even without caravans at Tagetou And to the petrol engine in the context of the diesel engine? And how do you estimate the Lineartronic CVT transmission in the context of the manual circuit in my project? Of course, I will also drive the car in everyday life (i.e. short distances – currently I have a mileage of approx. 12,000 km per year with the Caddy, so rather little). There it will probably have a smaller meaning, whether it is a manual circuit or the CVT, but because of the short distance the gasoline engine would be m.E. better fit. Or? However (in my case) so far there has been a rumor that a diesel engine is particularly suitable as a tractor. Is this also true with the Forester? With manual gearbox, with CVT or both? Or is the petrol engine also ok? Another word about the power: I would like to set myself on the 150 hp (petrols; possibly diesel with 147 hp) because less should be too weak, but the 240 hp would be too much for me (too much) (price, consumption and emissions). Now a little confused, I’m afraid, but I hope that you can still give me some answers to some of my questions that will help me. Thank you very much!
