  • Purchase advice: Subaru Legacy BL/BP – Watch out for what? Automatic or not etc…

Hello dear forum, after which I spent some time looking for a suitable car for me, I got stuck at the Legacy BL/BP. Since I just don’t really know how to buy used cars, I would like to get your advice now. My annual running performance is about 20000 km. There is no diesel worth it yet, or? At the same time, the first two years of production of the diesel engine would fall out. Automatic or not: I prefer to drive a switch. Of course, it restricts the selection if I only look for switches. I also read that the 4-stage automatic system is rather sluggish. LPG or not: I wouldn’t have anything against it in principle. The plants from the factory shouldn’t be so good? Is that true? What do I have to pay attention to? Then specifically to the weaknesses of the Legacy at this age. What do I have to pay attention to when buying? I live in the south of Germany (Bawü 89…) and for a beautiful Subaru I would already have a Stü Here are a few listings: Subaru Legacy Kombi 2.0D AWD ACTIVE * TEMPOMAT * SITTING SHEET * ASubaru Legacy Kombi 2.0 AWD AHK WarrantySubaru Legacy 2.0 R – Xenon – LPG – GAS -Subaru Legacy Kombi 2.0R Autom.Active LPG/StandheizungSubaru Legacy Kombi 2.0R Aut.*Xenon*Leather*Benzin+Gas* I would be very happy about your help!

  • Subaru WRX STI 2015 high insurance ?

Hey, I’m new here and I didn’t find a topic about the newer STI models in the maintenance where I could orientate myself. I’m 21 years old and I’m going to finish my training next month and I’m already a big Subaru Impreza WRX STI fan when I was a kid. I wanted to buy the 2015 model (financing) and my insurance couldn’t give me any information despite my car number. what comes to me when I bought it (no exact pay). The insurance, consumption is only the right foot, tax and wear. I have my driver’s license since January 2014 so I am just out of the probation period have no points and I am in the insurance of my mother who would enter the car as 2 cars. Thank you. -Dominik Vanzant

  • Set valves on the Legacy 3 Bj 2000

Hello guys, although I have struggled here through various topics I unfortunately could not find answers to my questions. So I drive a Legacy 3 Bj 2000 with the 2l machine and with a Prins VSI gas system. The car now has 122000 trouble-free kilometers down and has such a few problems lately. If it is cold it happens that the Subaru simply runs out after starting, so idling very unevenly and the speeds go against 0, then it goes out…start again… o drives again but the idle is always fighting with the die off at intersections. When it is then warm and switches to gas it runs as always. To this end, sometimes the engine control light goes on. The reading at Subaru revealed that the tap sensor reports an error and the exhaust system spins. The Subarumann meant that the elktronics “wrongly ” can come because gasoline and gas burn differently hot.. shone to me. What was not clear to me when I had a cost estimate. The Subarumann waved off and said “not needed”. Well my question: to my knowledge my Subaru does not have a hydrostottle that you do not have to adjust..or am I wrong? Should I have to adjust the valves…how can I do it myself? Ne small instruction would be very nice.

  • Claim: STi with 550 hp for 3000 euros?

A few days ago I met a cute little guy in a chat who claims that his everyday STi had 550 hp on the test stand with about 3000 euros effort and would drive 0-400m in 10.2 seconds. I know that the STi is well-responsive to tuning, but this claim is probably more of a driver’s name. In detail, his modifications are according to his claim a not named control box and a larger turbo (2 bar charging pressure) as well as injectors and a fuel pump . My questions: How much (sometimes stable) hp can be expected from the STi with about 3000 euros in modifications? How much would you have to invest realistically to get 550 horsepower out of the engine that is suitable for everyday use? Are these modifications feasible for 3000 euros and how much power can you expect with it? Does the engine have 2 bar charging pressure in the long run and how much horsepower can be expected with 2 bar charging pressure? Another question: He claims that with 550hp is the best start tech ik, just let go of the clutch at maximum rotational. With four wheel and 300hp I can imagine that half way, but with over 500hp I have the suspicion that one also produces more smoke with a Subaru with road tires than drive. Therefore my question: how can one optimally approach with such a Geraet? I suppose I never see the Troll again, but my curiosity is awakened and I hope the tuning experts among you can enlighten me a bit. Thank you very much. Chris And before you stone me: My question about starting technology refers to the race track, not road races.

  • Motor Exploded

Today at 3 p.m. my uncle drove with a Subaru Outback with LPG system. When he had to stop at a junction it was short pooped and then the engine is drunk. Then he wanted to start the engine again and there it happened the engine has exploded. Came by that a gas hose has slipped. and by the re-leasing of the engine the gas has set off. -The frame is bent I guess because the passenger door no longer runs properly. -The mot or bonnet has pushed it up pretty much. and has a little pinched. -Rad suspension is loose, the axe has jumped off, so to speak. -From the wheel box the plastic has taken off. -Front bumper has fallen down. Subaru Outback In April we he 1 year old (now probably not anymore) Pollisei everything was there and have taken photos that you will now send to Subaru Germany. because they have never seen that before So the dealer says there is nothing at the frame. what do you think you should do or ask for a new one? • Subaro no longer accepts gas

Hello together, I need a lot of competent support! My Forester SHD 147PS has the following problem: During the ride he does not take any more gas in irregularly and the engine turns down. When I then uncouple and turn back into a gear he comes and also takes the gas again. This symtomatic now occurs more often! There is no entry in the memory! What has already been done: My dealer has gone through the car and came with the diagnosis that can be done at the Klimaanla -New condenser – climate ok – problem remained In addition, I had already done the following: -Air and oil filters were exchanged -LMM checked -fuel line checked In the following there was no improvement, the problem remained! Then the motor lamp and ESP went on. In the malfunction memory was an entry with reference to the glow plugs in it! -Glühkerzen changed and then all was ok for a while until the symtomatics went off again. After some Re. I found out that another subaro driver had similar problems. He changed the accelerator pedal. Here was probably the fault due to a defective poti! I got a gas pedal and try that too. I can’t believe it yet. Does anyone have another idea? Thanks in advance. LG Andreas

  • Motor damage Forester SH

Good day I’ve been the owner of a Forester 2.0 D for 6 weeks. Motor damage! Suspected of crankshaft breakage. I applied for a certificate at Subaru Germany. Promptly came a cancellation because the car would be too old. The car has only 143000 km down and that can’t be the one that is already scrap. Now my question. Where do I get an replacement engine and you have a tip as to my right to Kulanz come could? I’d like to continue driving this great car

  • 950€ for a new windshield with installation? :O Is this justified?

Hi, My windshield of my 10 year old Impreza 2.0D jumped 2 days ago. Now I asked my factory city what an exchange would cost. I didn’t look bad as in the estimate of over 950€. 400 for the disc 55 for the sticky 25 for sealing strips 5 Euro for the disposal of the old disk 340 wage and another 160 control What do you think is this price justified? Is that still worth it? hr the youngest, has almost 200,000 km on the hump and is otherwise no longer in the best position. I am really thinking about whether this investment is still worth it.
