  • Trouble with Subaru

Hi, since the Tüv had recently criticized the shock absorbers, I ordered some from the www. The workshop wanted far over 1000,- for this (4 pcs) So worried and built-in… TÜV ok. Now I noticed that the rear is a few cm (4-5 or more) lower than before. You can see that clearly. Asked my supplier if what is wrong with the dampers. He said he needs an original part number because there are several variants. So I asked Subaru.de. said I should contact a Subaru workshop. Since my car was in the factory for more than 1000,- Euro I asked this workshop for the part number. They told me that you do not want to give me the number. Have added an offer for 2 shock absorbers for almost 600,-. With my Audi and my BMW I never had any problems. Therefore I can not understand that. Is this normal at Subaru? Does someone have a tip on how to get the original part number? the shock absorber comes? Is a Forester 2.0 SG Turbo from 2005

  • Subaru Impreza III 2.0D, 2011, engine problems?

Hello and Servus to all, I have now bought a boxer Diesel Impreza III 2.0D, year 2011, 109hp, 130,000Km from a private person (not yet in operation, since I have no time to collect and register) and have started to google after spare parts costs, service from the control chain or timing belts etc.. After a short time have started sweating since many of engine damage, problems with the DPF and even more problems with the engine report. Mainly the years of construction 2008,200 9,2010 and models like Legacy and Forester are affected, you read almost nothing from Impreza and the following years of construction. Can I calm down or have I done myself no favor with the purchase? Fin: JF1GHDLZ3BG…… Driving profile: Mo-Fr 15km to work and against home (mountain road 5km, country road 8km, Innerorts 2km) Saturday shopping in the larger neighboring municipality highway not so often, is not on the way

  • Question on automatics

What I forgot can one explain to me, how the Lineartronic works and with what you can compare it with? So far only know double clutch gearbox and converter automatic. I was told one of you did not notice the switching processes at all, it drives like the other automatic transmissions. I know many questions, but it interests me. mfg.kallepirna

  • Differential disassembly / combine

Hello Subaru Freaks! I’m currently converting my SVX to manual transmissions. Since the translation of the rear diffs has to be changed from automatic to manual transmissions, I wanted to ask you if you could do it yourself? So I would combine the diffs from the Legacy with those from the SVX, because the lateral drive shafts are different in the Legacy. With the SVX they are plugged into the diff., with the Legacy looks out a gearing. Now my questions: someone already has a D What do you have to pay special attention to? what would be easier: inserting drive ends from SVX Diff. into Legacy Diff., or inserting plate wheel from Legacy into SVX Diff.? does anyone know a company in D that specializes in differential work? Thank you in advance!

  • Legacy GT “Souped-baru”

Hello Subaru fans! Need your inspirations for my new project. I bought a 99er Impreza GT total damage for a pocket money. This beautiful machine has a work colleague (driver and spinner ) set with about 140 backwards against a tree. Up to the rear axle everything flat! Luckily “only” the body is affected. It is the 2000s edition of Prodrive from England (right handlebar). Now is planned, the drive train with chassis, brakes and exhaust etc. in mei Because after what I know so far, almost everything would have to fit without any changes, because the same model series. In addition, there was the 2 Series Legacy in Japan as a GT. Has someone perhaps had similar experiences? Which parts can be taken over without changes on the receiver vehicle (because of TÜV etc.)? Please no “I can’t imagine that” answers. I am a car driver and need concrete facts. Thanks in advance
