  • Cleaning of the intake tract with 2.0 diesel

Hello together ! Has someone already cleaned the intake tract of the diesel engine preventively from you. Is there a few relevant videos of MRI (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUVp0l7v2IY). Only about two things here I am in the unclear: – Can one re-use the support seals of the plastic intake bridge, or will there be any problems with a reuse? – How is the pressure sensor to the intake unit properly cleaned ? – to the meta Illic part of the suction bridge: how far can one go in the direction of cylinder heads for cleaning and how does the cleaning by hand? If someone has already made his own experience with the Subaru diesel with regard to soot (from the AGR) and oil vapour (from the KGE) existing deposits in the intake tract, please write them here, or refer to a source where one can read this. [and no, I did not find out in detail in the search] Greetings

  • Imprza 2.0R Comfort Ecomatic – Performance development ?

Hello municipality, I have a rather subjective question. When looking for a new winter vehicle I stumbled over the following offer.https://suche.mobile.de/…/details.html?… mileage, equipment, previous owners, origin… as far as everything is OK. Also stands quite well there and the LPG system runs great. Throughout (up to 1x) waiting at the dealer, which I also know. Only the rear brake discs are ferrig, and the tires are down and old. At the front left stand plates/ Unbalanced, from 100Km/h it shakes neatly. But now to the question: It is a 2.0 liter engine with 150hp, can it be that the absolutely does not come out of the quark ? OK, admittedly, I’m a bit of a power pampered, and it’s a suction motor. But it can’t be that you have to “hunt” such a machine up the mountain in the 2nd gear to get over 60Km/h. Exit in the 3rd gear, pedal push through to the ground… nothing happens. Is that normal, am I too spoiled? Or is there something wrong? Question: The model has a “HiFi sound system” with CD changer. But from the rear comes almost nothing. And if I turn the fader more backwards, so that you can hear something of it at the front, then max Volume (40) is no more than room volume. And “Sound” can’t be said either. More like a suitcase radio from the 90s. Is the system really so weak? Greetings Mike

  • All-wheel on normal brake dynamometer?

Aloahe! I believe the discussion itself has been going on for ages but I haven’t found a clear answer on the subject yet. Can a PermanentAWD be driven to a normal brake test stand where only the front axle is driven and the HA is firmly on the ground ??? Can a Subaru be towed? I have read that there are extra brake test stands for AWD, or that during the ride is measured. My workshop just said: “We’re going to do that with the brakes.” For years… can you enlighten me??? MfG

  • Gear damage

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Subaru impreza Hawkeye GD/GG 2.0L R with 160ps EZ 2005. Yesterday the car has suffered an engine damage and now the first and second gears no longer go in. I can still push the gear selector to the left but to the front and rear blocks the gearbox. Now to my question: can you fix this? In the worst case I also have a gearbox from the same car but in the 125ps version. Can you install this without hesitation or is Is this not compatible? Does anyone have experience? Would I appreciate an answer and thank you for your help.

  • Oil change due too soon?

Hello together, Is it normal that the hybrid of the 6 months old is showing change in 2 months oil? According to Seat contract workshop nobody knew what until they had read on site and said yes is normal. The Seat dealer I fetched at said “I can’t imagine. Feels 2 people asking 3 get answers. With a photo from the app, by the way, my control unit was changed from infotainment as with many recently. Don’t know if the previously asked 3 answers. also shows the service or whether it is due to the new ECU ?! Have you already had an experience ? Thank you

  • CUPRA Leon ST Hybrid: BAFA promotion 2022?

Hi Motor-Talk, I’m about to order a CUPRA Leon ST Hybrid and I got informed yesterday at BAFA about the innovation award. If the delivery time is about 4-6 (probably longer) months, I can submit my BAFA application at the earliest 2022, as the car must be registered for me for 6 months when buying cash. However, stricter rules apply to hybrids from 2022 and these have to create 60km purely electric… but according to which of the two standards (WLTP, NEFZ)? al I find: “In the electric drive, the CUPRA Leon e-HYBRID five-door car with no local emissions reaches up to 68 kilometres (according to NEDC, range according to WLTP: 52 km). The CUPRA Leon Sportstourer e-HYBRID reaches 67 km (according to NEDC, WLTP: 52 km)” In total, the whole thing only makes sense if you can dust the 4500 euros with dust. Currently, the CUPRA Leon ST is of course in the list of eligible vehicles, but changes next year? Can you help me further? Thank you!

  • purchase advice seat leon 1.4 TSI

hello, I’m thinking about a new seat leon 1.4 tsi. can someone tell me why the sport limited in the equipment line costs only 300 euro more than the 1.6liter engine, in the variant comfort but 1,400 ????? Is only the engine surcharge!? 300 also seems to me a little extra price for a more powerful motor with less consumption!? Can someone enlighten me? Then I still need a tip if n new car is worth it. alternatively, I would be used (not the seat leon configured by me comes to 20-22.000. advantages: wish configuration, new car (is yes generally something “better”, less reperature costs (with full service seat quite exactly no, even HU etc. is in there), I have to finance, so less interest plus dealer discount. the seat leon 1.4 TSI is virtually not needed yet. after all: more loss of value now, you only have to see the difference of the value loss and with the whole financial advantages would not have to make a lot of difference at the end of the sale after 4-6 years after all, or? of course you pay more overall, but I think it would be almost justified, for then you have a new car? Can this really be assessed badly…

  • Seat Leon 1M: mount new mirrors + question about aluminium wheels

Hi Together, my friend’s Leon may do a bit optically. On the one hand, I like the newer Seat mirror better than the mirrors from the first model years of the 1M (the small + large mirror). Is it easy to replace them? It has a manual mirror adjustment and without mirror heating. Does this new mirror shape even exist manually? What costs do I have to reckon with? Does anyone have a source where I get these cheaply? Second, we would like to have new aluminium rims mo On my Golf V I have 18″, already spoiled by the look. What do you think, rich 17″ or rather 18″ fetch? But I don’t like what needs to be guttered or pulled. On which wheel – tyre combination I have to pay attention, which would be recommended without changing what on the car? Which press depth should I take? Thanks and greeting first Mario

  • Cupra buy after leasing?

Hello together, Since November 2019 I have been running a Leasing with a Cupra 290 PS EZ 11/2019 with the 7-speed DSG. Leasing end will then November 2022 with 70,000 km. I was at the beginning of the opinion that I will return my car after the end of the lease, because I like the i30n very much, especially the Facelift model with manual transmission. However, I am currently considering whether I should buy the Cupra after all. I have always driven the car warm and cold until now, had never problems and had to go through the maintenance plus package I had to pay nothing for wear parts during service. The only two flaws I see are once the lack of seat heating and the connection with Apple Car Play sometimes breaks off, but does not occur often. My concerns are only what will come to me from 70k km since the car will have no guarantee as early as November 2021. How reliable are the last Cupra models of the model 5F? How high are the costs for wear parts? Can I consider the maintenance plus package Buy the car or should I give it back? Short to the figures: Total value of the car after deduction Discount: 30k Mtl. Leasing rate without maintenance plus package: 372€ After 36 months: 13,392€ Difference 16,608€ There may be another balance out because of the actual value after loss of value, but I know too little about it. Thanks already in advance.
