  • 1.0TSI Longevity

Nice Sunday to all, Yes, there are already several contributions to the 1.0TSi. But all I find are already a little older and no longer up-to-date. My question would be how much your 1.0TSi (preferably 110PS) has run at the moment and what significant problems have emerged up to now. Furthermore, I would be interested in the general durability. Yes, you can never say that exactly, but you can’t find concrete statements either. Always only “modern gasoline engines keep on average between 150,000 and 2 50,000km. – In my opinion, this is a big difference whether the engine now lasts 150,000km (would be about 6 years for me) or 250,000km (would be 10 years for me). With me, this would be 4 years difference, and 4 years longer on what can save new ones makes a huge difference in the purchase of the new car at the end. Currently, I drive the Seat Leon as a combi with 1.TSi 110hp as a leasing for 60 months/5 years, but play with the idea, this after the 5 years of the Leasin G-company buy off. Or do you think I should just take another new lease after the 5 years? Greetings Fabian

  • Leon battery problem

Hello I drive a leon 1.4l 16v, this one has currently 162tkm down and has been causing me problems with the battery for some time or years. it all started that I wanted to start the car one day and nothing left > battery empty. I then got started by a workshop here in the place and drove with the owner to his workshop. we built a new battery there and the master there has measured something on the light mesh and also showed me the da i Somehow the span is fluctuating, he still meant that if I didn’t change the lima I would keep catching up with this problem. now I got this new battery from the beginning of this year or was empty and didn’t charge, so we installed a used but full battery and this one has been holding since the beginning of the year… to this day. I’ve noticed for a few days that it’s probably also at the limit when I’ve ever had it 12.7x V on top. in any case I want to go today and nothing goes anymore, the reason is short and then the current is gone. after pushing it ran again and I then measured the battery after about 15 min in the empty run and again 12,7x V on it. now the question, really Lima in the eimer or something else in the direction ? which is already for some time already (where nobody can tell me what it is ) the motor runs in the stand a bit restless and the headlights and tacho lighting is quite le icht am flackern. with how much V should be ine battery ? my old man thinks at 12,xx V you would be absolutely in order. I have unfortunately no possibility to have the lima measured again since the workshops here want to fix the problem at once. ahja sometimes when I start the leon he goes straight out again, he then runs completely restless and if I want to give gas he drains off. I hope here someone can help me, I also have not so much the mass of ld that I could buy “eben” ne lima

  • Central locking system

Hello everybody, I’m new here, so I’m sorry if I should forget anything. I bought a Leon, 1.6, 105 HP, as a second car. Year of manufacture 2001. The vehicle is great, it has been kept. In Jan. was the one again for inspection, new timing belt ect. for 11oo euro. The owner bought a new car, therefore sold. Know also the son of the owner, therefore the details about the car are all according to reality. The only thing that was mentioned: Sometimes ” The ZV, i.e. the re. blinker, stays on. If you close it up and off again, it goes out. I checked it myself several times. Yesterday I took over the car and of course made a ride into the mountain area in the afternoon. The car is just great. When I arrived at home, it did not work again. Unfortunately also not with repeated attempts. Light remained on and the turn signal then does not work. So I called the ADAC. Was on Unfortunately, instead of my 1.6, he entered a 1.8 engine into the test unit. He said it would be the same. Since he could not call up my turn signals there (securing was OK), he said that I had to go to the workshop. The small control unit had a defect. Who can help me here. I also called my screwdriver, who said Seat workshop would be better, since they could “read” for the first time.

  • Rear brake Leon

Hello guys, our Leon (Bj 2002) has a rather rusty brake disc on the rear axle. We bought it in February 2013 and before that he seems to have stood around for a long time. The question that arises to me, is it because of the pads? And is it enough if I renew the discs and the pads or can it also be a fixed seat? or is there too much air in the system? hope one can help me further. That’s how the brake looks at the moment, no matter how hard I put into the pedals la tsche: http://data.motor-talk.de/…/…axle-brake-8264159942943871578.jpg

  • Leon ST Facelift FR vs. Xcellence: seats and centre console

Hi Together, I have a few questions about the facelift of the current Leon. Drive a Leon ST FR (184PS HS) at the moment. Question: 1. Has the center console become narrower due to the absence of the manual parking brake? Find the already very wide on my 2013 Leon – my right leg could use a little more space 😉 2. I read that the seats in the Xcellence would be slightly more padded than in the FR – is that right? Greetings

  • Leon MJ 2018

Hello everybody, I was at the IAA last week and wanted to warm up my anticipation on my ordered Cupra 300 ST 4drive with a visit to the SEAT stand. There was exactly this car on display but with a few details that were not available so far: – Active Info Display – Beats Audio Soundsystem – Changed Alu entry bars (only Cupra logo, no “CUPRA” lettering anymore) and something I can’t remember anymore According to the lady at the stand, these are features I couldn’t find any official information about this in spite of google. She also meant the Beats-Audio System is offered in addition to the SEAT Sound System, i.e. as an upper premium offer. Do you know something more precise or does someone have official information? With such information from hostesses at the stand you have to be more careful… 😉 Thank you! TT.

  • Seat Leon Xperience – a few questions

Hi together, we are interested in a Leon X-Perience. A few questions have been asked: What are the consumption experiences with the 150 and 184 hp diesel DSG? For us, only the DSG necessarily comes into question, because we would like to drive automatic again. Current vehicle is a VW CC petrol with DSG. How about the ACC? We are used to this from the CC. Does the Leon also brake until a stop when approaching another vehicle? The CC has the intelligent Xeno I read a lot about the LED headlights. Does the Leon have a turning light on LED? with not LED headlights this seems to be realized via the NSW. With LED then also? With the facelift there was probably the electric parking brake. Since we might also consider a 2016 model, the question is whether the handbrake quickly gets “play”. How is the noise level in general? The CC is very l Eise – which is of course also class-related. Is the Leon rather loud compared to its competitors? Thank you for any help! Adrian

  • Footroom is wet/wet

Hello, for some time the footroom on the passenger side has been wet again and again. If I have my Leon standing in the rain or driving in the rain, no water penetrates at all. I only always notice it in the morning, and that mostly after it snowed (but not always). I have also done a watering can test, which also did not get through water. I was also recently in the washing machine, and there were no problems. In advance: I am not interested in cars. Is it possible that damp objects in the car (e.g. snow brooms or disc sponge) can lead to such a wetness? The things are lying on the back seat, so I think that you can rule that out. 2. Can possibly snow get into the cockpit from the engine compartment? What else could I do for tests to get the leaky S It’s really just the passenger side, everything else is dry. Thanks for your answers, and a healthy year 2018. LG

  • New order Leon 5F – Navi or Navi+?

Hello! I will probably buy a Seat Leon 5F soon (FL/new order) and am still a bit unsure about the equipment. Currently the configuration looks like this: – FR 1.4 TSI with 125hp – Nevada White – ACC – roof sky black – 18″ Performance rims – Media Package (consisting of: navigation system “normal” incl. mapcare, rear camera, SEAT Sound System, SEAT Full Link, spare wheel) – Multifunction camera PLUS (tracking assistant, driving light assistant, traffic signer – Austria package for FR (full LED headlights, parking aid front + rear, electronics package) – normal fabric seats – winter package With the current Navi (standard) there is apparently a problem with the SD cards. Does the Navi+ also have any difficulties in this regard? The data should be stored there on the hard drive… What is the audio technical situation? I would like to have the Seat Soundsystem or possibly the upcoming Beats Audio System installed. . Apparently the Navi+ has a better amplifier in connection with the Beats audio system. Does anyone have more info about it? How do you find the DCC? Is it worth an extra charge of 840€? lg and many thanks

  • Seat Leon 1M – bad brakes

Hello, I have the following problem with my Seat Leon, model 1m, built in 2004, 1.9TDI, 110kw/150ps with 193,000km (no all-wheel drive). The braking performance is extremely bad compared to all cars I have known and even driven so far. Even with full braking it is not possible for me to push the car into the ABS. Only with brakes from very low speed (e.g. 30 zone) the braking effect is acceptable. eläge Jurid) is also anything but beautiful (see pictures). However, a free workshop gave me the information that the braking performance should still be completely sufficient despite the bad performance pattern. To my surprise I also got new TÜV this month, contrary to my expectations. Below are the results of the braking performance: Operating brake: Front left: 300 [daN] Front right: 280 [daN] Back left: 180 [daN] Back right: 180 [daN] Brake BBA: 51 % parking brake: Left: 130 [daN] Right: 140 [daN] Deceleration FBA: 15 % The question now arises how I can repair my brakes. I fear that only the change of brake discs and pads will bring nothing in the long term, as the discs will probably form a rim again after a very short time. Could it be on the brake calipers, vacuum pump or also the brake power amplifier?
