  • Suzuki Wagon R+ Engine noise

Hello you dear Suzuki – professionals, I am really in despair. Have a Suzuki Wagon R+, built in 2000, I have now driven 125,000 km far and am not satisfied, listen already from my surroundings, that can be nciht true, so many problems, so when I start, that doesn’t stop. So, from the engine come sounds, when I speed up, even at low speed is to be heard a clacking. Oil change made a month ago and did not notice that a mechanic took away the oil tank and tested the bearings and crankshaft, everything was fine, even the valves were fine. Then he went through the opening of the spark plugs with an endoscope and thought to have seen that a piston has bars and that the noise therefore stem. The piston should be replaced, the cylinder milled, the repererature of the one piston would then come to approx. 2000 euros. But the montage is winding. I don’t know what to think of it. At Suzuki they told me by phone that a part replacement engine would cost more than 3000 euros. That’s really a shock. If this is probably with the piston, can you really see it through an endoscope, can the sound be due to something else? Power reliability. Is there not to be seen? Is a spare engine worth it? Would I be delighted if someone had experience with these sounds and could advise me. Thank you for your effort, greeting Big E

  • HELP for Suzuki Grand Vitara

Hello, I would need your advice. I drive a 3 door vitara ,Bj 2009, 78kw, 1,6l. Recently he lost power during the ride and ran round, took only heavy gas, as if he had too little air. I got out and found the back at the exhaust almost no air came out. When I put myself under the car, I saw that the whole cat was glowing red. I immediately turned off the engine. After a few minutes I started again and the engine ran back normal so that I could I told a mechanic who said that the cat had melted. Then I took off the exhaust part and removed the whole cat. The car worked perfectly again. Must say that I drive almost only short distances. Now for a few days he does exactly the same again. At some point under driving he goes to the knees and does not run properly, goes max 70kmh, and needs much more fuel. If I put him off and wait he goes after a time again I often drive only 5km, and even 100km and it happens. Had it now with a mechanic, there the lamda probe was replaced in front of the cat, which was also completely melted. A new one was installed by almost 400 euro. Everything was looked at and examined, but nothing found. the new probe simply does not get any current. Now my question, why did it come to this that my cat melted, and what could be the mistake that the new probe did not I am grateful for every tip. wish you a nice day

  • Suzuki Grand Vitara 2006 Replacing Ribbed Belts

Hello dear community, I need your help because I need to replace my V-belt for power steering. My Vitara has the key number 7102 426 and is without air conditioning. First, I can’t figure out how to release the belt tensioner to use the new V-belt. Second, the belt tensioner can’t be turned (old V-belt is torn and removed). That’s funny to me and I don’t know if it’s now locked without a belt or if it’s actually kaput Unfortunately I can’t get anywhere with YT and find no suitable service guide. I would like to do this myself, because the car for my children is for school and driving. Thank you for your support! LG Chris PS: If it helps, I can also take pictures.

  • Rear seat Occupancy recognition Vitara

With the Vitara/Hybrid from 2020 (with the usual assistance systems), the alarm for the middle seat is buzzing when someone has taken a seat at the back right or left and buckled up. Only when the middle belt is locked in (as I said, nobody is sitting there!!!) does the car rest. According to research in the net this affects many Vitaras (possibly even all!). Is this so wanted, or a mistake in the ECU programming? Is there any remedy, except to open the plug from the middle belt lock n (then it’s quiet, but felt that’s not a clean solution)? Sensors in the seat are not supposed to exist, the whole thing would probably be controlled by opening the doors.

  • Grand Vitara FT (EZ 2002) runs on three cylinders

Hello, at the Grand Vitara 1.6 (7102 / 381; 1.6L 69kW/94PS) of my girlfriend, there are the following problems – hardly pulls anymore -runs while giving gas on three cylinders and shakes accordingly -has thirst like an ox in the desert. – smells in the exhaust gas after unburnt petrol At the tester he had deposited the error “Fleistung Kugel 1”. Findings/measures so far: -ALL candles are black, slightly moist, have been replaced. -AGR valve cleaned, stands in position closed, with subtracted S no change. -no change in case of disconnected plug from the LMM. -both ignition coils have been renewed -compression ok, on all four cylinders equal to +/-0.5 bar. -crankshaft sensor renewed. -refrigerant temp.-gender has comprehensible values on the tester. -voltage curve of the Lambda control probe looks correct. (screenshot) -petrol pressure regulator changed -at the moment at ease. 🙁 ….and grateful about any idea. Greeting Björn

  • Suzuki Baleno (EW) 1.0 Boosterjet Auto – Gear oil change??

Moin, on the other hand, I am absolutely desperate when looking for information.. The following, I bought a used Baleno at the beginning of this year (75,000 KM) – the car is very good and is enough as a daily for me at the beginning of 20 and a scarce purse completely. Is not relevant either, at least once by my mechanic of trust at an inspection I was told to think about a drift oil change because the car had not yet had one and according to Suzuki information this all 60,000 KM should be made – so I am already just behind. Anyway, my mechanic doesn’t quite know what is being changed during the exchange, the oil tank, the seal, the filter if one is available etc. because he has hardly Suzukis in the workshop (actually a good sign??) And online I can find absolutely NOTHING about it since most results only talk about CVTs or switches. Is there one of the already had a gearbox oil change here and what has to be done there and which oil – the AW-1 which is in the manual is hardly sold in this country – what is comparable there? I am very desperate, the automatic switches thanks to Gottsei still well but I have worries that the longer I delay the change the transmission more and more takes damage and at some point problems could occur and it is already too late. Would be super cool if one could help me further. Thanks in advance

  • Turn off start stop and cruise control function even at 30Km/H instead of 40Km/H

Hello in the round, I am now for 3 months an owner of an S-cross Bj.2024. Maybe someone can help me, the cruise control starts only at 40Km/h, there is the possibility to configure it so that it regulates already at 30Km/h.? Then I would like to turn off the start stop automatic, which makes me great trouble because it is described in the manual so crappy. In the manual a pressure switch is described which my vehicle has not. I hope someone can help me.! Greetings e Rainer

  • Suzuki Samurai Purchase Decision

Hello forum, I’m about to decide to buy a samurai. I found one in my area. Unfortunately, the KM stand makes me a little skeptical. According to sellers and Tacho it is almost 60,000 km. The dare is from 1989! Can this be true ???? Visually he does not look so wrong. I look at him on the weekend. Hope he has so far all the papers to roughly estimate whether the statements are correct. The samu is now not exactly cheap he still wants to have around 850€ for it. What me in you, you have tips for me. Love thanks

  • Year-round tires for Suzuki Swace?

Thanks to advice at another point in this forum, we would have agreed on a Suzuki Swace as a new car. Test drive was great and also convinced my wife (who actually had other brands on the screen). We now also limited the search once in a first step to 3 concrete vehicles, 2 times dealers and once private. With our preferred vehicle (dealer, only 8,500 km) would now be only summer tires. After the last years more often over the th I was just thinking about whether I would take this as an occasion and change to GJR next winter. Driving profile approx. 15-20 tkm, hpts. City (around Vienna), from time to time in mountainous areas – but only if the weather fits. Once a year skiing holidays, but also mostly not in the snowiest regions. Driving style very reserved, especially in snow, ice, rain. Even in dry driving paths rather max. 120-130 kmh. Would you take the risk here? O the rather traditional 8-fold tire?
