  • Suzuki Jimny Corrosion Protection

Hi, the new JIMNY is optically and technically top for me! But, when looking under the skirt, so when inspecting the underbody, I have serious doubts about the “permanence” of the car. Only bare sheets, screws etc. without further protection. That must rust! I was reminded of the land cruiser. Identical problem. It was completely rusted after 2 years. No flight rust, no massive brown plague where you looked. Does my cloudy eye deceive me? How do you see this?

  • NGV rust on the rear wheelwheel

Here are the latest photos of the rust on the rear wheels. I had already sanded and repainted last year. EZ 1/2012, 120000km, first possession and not an EU car, but bought again from the German dealer.

  • Shrewd noise while braking

Hello, my new Ignis has now 1500km. Relatively fast I noticed that when braking completely towards the end there is a loud sound to hear. This only ends when the car is standing. I hear nothing when driving and braking fast, but e.g. when braking strongly at the traffic light. The workshop looked briefly and meant the brakes would work technically and cleaned them. Unfortunately, the problem still exists. They built the brakes apart as far as I know. cht (sorry I don’t know about it). I assumed that my new car warranty would cover something like this, but I was told that the brakes were excluded and that you would have to ask the manufacturer for a culant if more was to be done. Does anyone have a similar sound or does anyone know what that could be? I don’t know about any other car. Maybe the cockroach also comes from another component? What would you do? Thank you and a lot of greetings

  • Swift Sport NZ/FZ – advice to buy

Hello Motortalkler, I come from the BMW warehouse, drive two youngtimers of the 90s and, due to changed circumstances, look for a everyday car, which is solid and inexpensive in maintenance. If it comes then still a little sporty, I am satisfied. I have occasionally driven a Swift MZ/EZ and therefore know the series or the predecessor already a small piece. A fuel saving miracle was not the small Swift, but quite solid and with regard to maintenance/repair extremely unobtrusive The MZ/EZ as a sport is no longer in question due to its age and its disadvantages, such as missing 6-speed transmission or no Xenon. What can one say about the NZ/FZ model from experience? – Cost p.a. in about? – Repair/maintenance friendliness? – Vulnerabilities? – Wear and defects? – Fuel consumption? And what budget should be planned for this model. On mobile, mainly vehicles are offered by the dealer and the selection is up to 8′ Euro Very manageable.

  • Swift sports to use as commuter car?

Hi, when searching for small cars with Xenon or LED headlights I often landed on the sport. Keyless boarding and starting I find also quite nice, MAL can be retrofitted and the seats also look decent. I always liked the sport optically and it probably does not exist as a diesel. The 1.6er has 136 hp and a 6-speed transmission, with fuel monitor stand proud 7,36l in the average. Has someone to commut and can tell me what he roughly needs and the I drive 25tkm/year, 44km easy distance every day, to 99% highway, at traffic jam also sometimes country road. I do not want to retrieve the performance, but one is not undermotorized. I drive rather fuel-saving, but am not a slipper. Forward-looking driving and rather little brake. Many small cars with Xenon are not under 10,000,-So something here I found quite favorable for the KM performance. But don’t really know the new price of a sport

  • Baleno and Celerio in Germany no longer in the program

Today I was at my friendly Suzuki dealer for inspection – and he said (which can also be seen on the website) that Baleno and Celerio are no longer offered in Germany. This makes the Ignis “the smallest”. I find it unwise, because it does not serve segments that are served by i10 and i20, Karl and Corsa, Fox and Polo. Too bad. Supposedly, the registration numbers of the Celerio increased continuously.. Only with 5 models at the start – that’s ambition and, to put it euphemistically…

  • Fuel consumption Grand Vitara

Moin together, I recently bought a 2011 Grand Vitara 2.4L automatic, 4WD with 70k KM. Works very well so far, but I have now looked at the fuel consumption. I drive a lot of city, short distances with a lot of stop + go. Now not always kickdown but I’m already giving good gas. With 166 hp you have to move that also with the car really forward. I was surprised that it drives relatively sloppy. But when I calculated the consumption has me fas t hit the hit: 16,6 liters on 100 KM. Is that still in the frame or should I go with the box to the mechanic? It can hardly be that you can not drive 400 KM per tank with the Suzuki SUV.

  • Ignis suitable as a commuter vehicle?

Hello, I am a commuter and drive 45km to work every day. Since I am often on the road before the winter service I have thought about a vehicle with four-wheeler and greater ground clearance. (I do not live in the mountains, however, only about 500m over NN) I came across the Ignis… Since it is not exactly the ideal commuter car I wanted to know your opinion. Thank you very much!

  • Degrading body parts

Hello, someone can help me, or give me tips on how to remove 1.4 Allgripp parts at Suzuki LY Year of manufacture 2019. Mainly, I’m concerned with the front and rear bumpers, as well as the wheel treads and fender linings. I want to use a cavity seal and underbody protection seal with FLUID FILM NAS on the car.Or tell me where to find a plan.
