  • Suzuki Gran Vitara

For about half a year I have been driving a Suzuki Gran Vitara Bj 1998. Now the car is already the second time (in the turn) on the opposite track, without reason (no wetness, no too fast driving etc.). It seemed to me as if the front wheels were blocking easily and the car just continues straight ahead. However, it could easily be steered back again. A familiar typed a gear damage, but can not confirm it 100%. Therefore my questions: it might be someone who has had similar experiences. (So I definitely don’t want to go any further) What should I do? Where can I get a gearbox cheaply…??? Thank you for the answers…. Best regards Lina

  • Swift is a week old and doesn’t start

Tomorrow I have a new Suzuki Swift 1,3 club since last week and already two times he did not want to start. The first time (last week Saturday) I got to hear that I should turn off the light, then the battery lasts longer. I let it be placed that you can not leave a lich without not getting deaf. Battery was only charged in the workshop and I got the car back. Yesterday the second time: car does not jump on. Then I bridged the Swift and then I am too Suzuki drove, but not where I bought it. They thought it could be the battery that might not have been properly maintained. Oh yes, after the bridge, the car jumped on again without any problems. Do you have any ideas what that can be? Will bring the little one back to the workshop tomorrow and wait and see what I can hear there. But other opinions are also not bad. Greetings

  • Swift Import Interior Light

Hello, I got a 1.3 Swift Bj 2008 over Internet from Hungary. As far as everything worked great, price incredibly cheap. Problem: interior lighting, clock, speedometer lighting, and various tacholamps (oil, battery, tank reserve, etc.) do not go. For this a security 15 A is in the glove compartment. Was already with 2 Suzuki dealers, but in clear text: they do not want to help me. Quote” Jaja, first save money and then want service. If you had bought right away from us”. In addition, there were 2 statements: 1) “We have to do a delivery inspection first. This takes at least 1 hour”. Haha – pure rip-off. I know the number, my friend has a VAG car dealership himself. 2) “We have to cancel the on-board computer and reload it. In the case of the car no values are correct. The stationary gas and the regulation has to be recharged”. What is this number? and free and they want to reboot my Black Box? What does that have to do with the interior lighting? In both cases no sound for the fuse, which certainly only has to be plugged in somewhere. But I can find nothing – even my VAG pros don’t. Maybe a Suzuki mechanic has mercy and just tells me where the problem is. I certainly don’t have 2 left hands (2 self-restored oldtimers), but all statements seem to me to be pure bullshit and money making. Your help. Greeting from the Palatinate. Matthias

  • Buy Jimny?!

Have a good day on all sides. I’m thinking about whether I should maybe get a Suzuki Jimny convertible, but I’m not sure if the pros and cons are quite certain. Advantage would be for me quite clearly that the little one holds nothing and I always come away here and in every weather. (Can’t many of our neighbors say of themselves. *g*) Disadvantages as you hear should be the for 80hp terribly weak engine, the many rust on all corners and edges and the chassis probably should not be the But I would modify that anyway “curve-suitable”. Then you often heard that the engine died for almost no reason. So it’s not exactly there in the breakdown statistics. What I would still be interested in would be the consumption of (as far as possible with the box) fast driving. And the actually attainable top speed. I’m not a fan of blunt straight ahead meters but I would be interested in what the car really does. Is there any further advantages and disadvantages? Because basically I like the car because it is quite cheap in maintenance and would leave the perfect little brother to my father’s Subaru Forester outside on the farm. *g* I thank you already in advance for the answers. mfg Christoph

  • Engine damage ;-((((((((((((((((())))))))

Aloha, I hope very much you can help me. My beloved Samurai (Bj 86) has now at 199.ooo engine damage. Conrod or bearing………………………. Since I am a woman, I am advised as “specialist” like “replacement engine pure = 2000 at least” or “way with the mud-carrier” …………………………….. THANK YOU. My fat guy has wide aluminium ́s on it and the blue metal painting is completely OK, Softtop completely OK, TÜV a year ago without defects, last year new cooler, new e cross joints, new sheet metal at the windscreen wiper area, clear a little rust sill passenger, doors bloom below and hinge tailgate………………………………………..but otherwise absolutely super… I have heard that the engine has problems with the conrod and since more often damage is known. Can you give me a hint? Do you mean a) repair would be worthwhile and b) equal to a replacement engine or individual frigging? r on my car. And I want to keep it…………………………….. Blu

  • Quality Suzuki Grand Vitara E.Z. 06 / 2003

Hello, I have to ask you a few questions about my mother’s Grand Vitaras. The Vitara is now 5 years old and just 28,000 km down. Is that normal that the brake pads are gone??? That’s quite incredible, really doesn’t speak for the quality of the car. The underfloor looks worse now like my 10 year old golf! That can’t be! My brake pads have kept over 100,000 km, that is probably already laughing here I!!! At the Wagon ́R from my brother they warned also with approx. 30,000km away! Furthermore the Grand Vitara also drink quite a lot of oil for my taste! What does your Grand Vitara so need of oil on 100km? Greeting MADE_IN_GERMANY

  • Suzuki SX4 speedometer manipulated?

Hello municipality, two weeks ago I bought a Suzuki SX4 1.6 VVT Comfort automatic. Approved 10.07 with a mileage of 40 KM. The 40 KM are also in the purchase contract. The SX4 has a VDO-Navi in it as standard. Now I played something with it and the Navi-Borcomputer showed me a total driving power of 2456 KM, still a total driving time of 69h. I had addressed the Suzuki dealer on it and that did not help. I am already a few years with Mobile Nav I’ve never noticed such irregularities on the road and, as far as the mileage records are concerned, I have of course now the suspicion that the mileage was manipulated, although I don’t understand the meaning. Because the 2416 km more, would not have made the cabbage fat. I at least would have bought the car anyway. Nevertheless, I would have done something if I had any proof of a manipulation! If anything has been manipulated? I have already sent a similar request to VDO and still wait for an answer. Maybe someone here has already experienced something similar and can possibly help me far. Greetings Keylord

  • Purchase advice Wagon R+

Hi, I’m going to buy a Suzuki Wagon r+ 1.0 and would like to know your experiences… Is it reliable? I don’t want to visit the workshop every month, so I avoid Opel and others. I’m going to buy some expensive spare parts, because -as far as I’ve read on the net – the Japanese just have less problems. I had a Nissan Sunny BJ 87, and I’ve only had a good experience with it… only had to change timing belts once. I now have a Wagon R+ with about 13500 0 km EZ 1999 found and can’t decide. The mileage comes to me a little too much for a small car. If I look at Mobile.de etc., I find quite a few Wagons over 150tkm. So I can’t judge whether the engine is long-lived or not… Is the engine own development of Suzuki? If you can tell me, e.g. which KM-performance are due, I might appreciate what would be coming on me… Wi long e.g. the Coupling and exhaust system with gentle driving by the way, the Wagon R+ is supposed to cost about 2500… without climate. I find the price really fine… If that were a Toyota starlet I would have hit immediately, but with Suzuki I am not so sure… For your opinions and experiences I would be grateful… Greetings, Mel
