  • Joy over new SX4 didn’t last long

Hello together, on Friday afternoon I was able to pick up my new SX4 1.9 DDiS 4×4. The car drives really well, very good passage and very comfortable. Only with the rearview mirror it is a little pity that this starts to vibrate on the highway. But with that I can live. Unfortunately the joy about my car is clouded by an annoying incident. Yesterday on the highway, I drove just 120 km/h, in front of me far and wide nobody, flew me a stone in the wind the car is just 2 days old. Now I spoke to my friend on the phone, and he will install me a new disc directly. Now I wanted to ask if the insurance now makes problems because the car is only 2 days in my hands? I have the 400 € insurance from Suzuki (Zurich). Do I get there now serious problems? How much do I have to pay myself?? I could mic h tot annoy about so much bad luck, that I was not my fault but sad and also you are still angry! Many greetings Anke PS. By the way, there is nothing to complain about in the car except the rearview mirror!!!!

  • Cylinder-head seal

Moin guys. The following problem. Had started a long journey to the east on Sunday (about 700km drive) which I survived without any problems. What was striking was that at high speeds of about 140km/h-145km/h my Swift 1.0l 53PS (Bhjr.93) got a bit “overheated”, i.e. the engine temp. climbed over the half to about 3/4 or so.But this was only short and I hardly noticed it any further, because the temp. again leveled to the half (90 degrees?!) as I did not more faster than 130km/h today when I returned (by sun 25 degrees and not as on Sunday morning at 15 degrees) I immediately noticed that the temp. needle had already risen over half at a long speed of 130km/h and was about 3/4. When I took some gas away (110:20) it fell slowly again to the half. At a longer speed of 130km/h T140km/h it then rose threateningly close to the maximum, but STETS was still under the white section. When I just gave a little more gas again, because I gave the A a bit more gas. The Temp. needle was at the time just before this white area.I immediately took the gas away and the smoke at the back was immediately gone. With the new gas the cloud came back behind me, so that I immediately took the gas away and throttled the speed to 100km/h. The smoke was immediately removed after the gas was taken away and did not come again. The Temp. needle leveled again normal on the half and I drove the remaining 200km only max. 120. Later I tried again high sw. of 130, which were easily feasible. also the temp. did not rise. Of course I did not drive the 130 over a longer period as above, because I was afraid that he would overheat again. My question is now: how is this overheating at the high sw. to explain? where did the smoke come from and how is it to explain? it can be that I have my cylinder-head seal b After my arrival I immediately looked into the cool-balance tank: so there is enough in it and only, which also belongs in it, so no oil. the check of the oil measuring rod showed also no obvious. how can I check my head seal otherwise, if necessary???? I could completely explain the overheating with the cooler, which does not look so great anymore(about 1/3 of the “lamal” or are damaged. About fast help I would be happy!!!!!

  • Delivery time Suzuki New Grand Vitara

Hello, maybe someone already has experience: I ordered a Suzuki New Grand Vitara from a reimport dealer in northern Germany. A reimport because the equipment here is not available at all (xenon light, sliding roof, leather) and of course also because of the price advantage. The vehicle comes from the Netherlands, and as delivery time was mentioned by the dealer about 3 months. When these 3 months were around, my dealer told me that he had received news, the Lief The dealer offers me to get out of the contract, but I don’t think I can get the goods anywhere faster and cheaper. Has anyone already received such a reimport vehicle? MfG Enno

  • New Jimny ordered – Some questions

Hello, I had the Suzuki Jimny as a rental car some time ago and was very excited about the car. Most of the off-road vehicles can only dream about the off-road capability of this vehicle. Now I ordered a new Jimny (second car) in the course of the scrapping premium. It is an EU import vehicle and should be delivered in about 1 month. So that I can get the vehicle as soon as possible, I had to do without the equipment with aluminium rims and fog lights. However, I would like to retrofit it. I have now come up with a few questions, and I hope they can be answered here. 1. I have heard that the underbody protection and the cavity sealing of the vehicles are not optimal ex-works and it would be advantageous to re-improve the underbody protection and the cavity sealing. Is this true? Is there any experience? 2. I would like to equip the vehicle with the original fog lights afterwards. Do you already have the necessary cables and switches ready or is this a huge blower so that you should have it retrofitted better in the workshop? 3. The same applies to retrofitting with speakers at the back. Are there already the cables? 4. In some forums it is said that the steering of the Jimny is slightly fluttered if you want to skimp the vehicle with wider tyres visually. However, I am not only concerned with the optics. I would like to prevent deep tracks from driving into the meadow, for example if I want to drive on my property in damp weather. Up to which tires / rim size can you go without hesitation without the vehicle getting restless? Does anyone have an idea? Wouldn’t want to add and remodel everything possible, just because of some larger tires. 5. Is there a tire for the Jimny that is suitable for both road and terrain? Is it always a compromise. However, if you could find an all-year tire that would be suitable for off-road use, and you could save yourself the regular tire changing. Perhaps there are corresponding experiences and hints here in the forum. Thank you very much and nice greetings Dieter

  • Vibration at acceleration

Last year I bought a new Suzuki Grand Vitara DDis. When I accelerated the vehicle for the first time after the first drive-in kilometers when I overtaked the third gear at ca 1850 rpm, I noticed at approx. 2000 rpm (that is the speed at which the 300Nm are attached) a short vibration and hum of the vehicle. The same repeated itself also in the fourth gear. Vibration is all the more powerful the more force has to be transferred from the engine to the wheels. (Mountain up, trailer up) It is also not a subtoury way of driving on my part, since the engine runs well at 1800 rpm, until at 2000 rpm use these vibrations. Who has the same experience with his DDis and who can tell me what can be the reason for this?

  • Packing engine parts into newspaper to start Suzuki Alto

Hello together for now. I have a problem with my Suzuki Alto Bj. 99 I bought it from a dealer 4 years ago. Now something is constantly broken. The passenger door can no longer be opened (probably what is broken from the plastic) yesterday was also the driver door. But now to the actual problem. Since about 1 week it does not start to me. (That is only at -7C) In the engine right next to it is such a small round thing. Now I have to wrap this thing up with a newspaper every night so that it can start up again the next day. Do you know where I can get an explosion drawing? I don’t know what that is. And wrapping it up with a newspaper every day is stupid. Thank you very much.

  • Subject: Valve clearance control

Is there a way to check whether the valve play was actually controlled or not during an inspection? If so, how can you control it or what clues are there? Vehicle: Suzuki Splash. Images where you can control it would be perfect!

  • Change Suzuki Baleno crossbars

My problem, the front screws (axle screws?) are unfortunately different, and so far I could not find out in the net what could be explained to me which belong there actually. The next Suzuki dealer here nearby is not exactly a place of trust for me. (they wanted to sell me smooth, after a gear change, immediately a new heater fan, by giving me the car with missing fuse of the same back..) Can someone help me, which screws belong there actually? M12 so far I am sure, but customs thread/metric fine thread, which length, hardness-grat etc? The before me the parts have probably already changed but apparently taken what just came between their fingers. With friendly greetings Sandro
