Hello I am a taxi operator in Dortmund. My plan is to have my private vehicle converted into a taxi. However, since 01.08.2016 there are new regulations for the calibration of the vehicles. It is a talk of a “conformity declaration”. Those of the Eichamt could not help me any further. I do not know how I get the calibration for my vehicle. Maybe there are companies that make the conversion and make the declaration of conformity. I would be very there for your help or a solution I can’t.

Changes over the last 2-3 years
Hello, We had a taxi company with 4 taxis in a place in the Saarland with about 11500 inhabitants, which we sold in February 2014. Besides our company there is another company in our place. My wife and I had completely withdrawn from the business and have been working since the again in our learned professions. The buyer of our company had at the end of February 2016 from the side of the Ordnungsamt got the business closed. Now it is so that we again and again time again on former customers of us meetings that tell us in conversation that the sad ones are that we no longer exist and time and again it is mentioned that the only remaining companies (2Taxes, .2Rental cars) are unreliable, waiting times are many times higher than promised by telephone. Long speech short sense…I applied to the competent regulatory office to submit safety certificates… When submitting the application it was then said that I was at the beginning car rental b e come because they first have to work the waiting list for taxis and if only in April 17 could get a taxi concession. I am then with my 211 ex-taxi from our former company, which I recently used privately to the taxi service to have reprogrammed for the mirror taximeter. There was then told that a conformity assessment must be carried out on the vehicle. This with used vehicles is only possible with the cabpakat installed by the factory and b a new vehicle also only with factory-installed taxi package or conversion by Intax. Since my 211er taxi package has ex factory, this was no problem. Costs 750,- € including demonstration at the Eichamt. Date on the Eichamt is however only on 30.12.16. Thus we can only start in January 2017. How is this with the conformity assessment? It can not be that I now is prescribed which kind of vehicle I can use. My project was that I use a buy 211er, make this conversion so that a car has to be replaced if the first one fails for whatever reasons and if it runs as a second car. I am forced now because I don’t want to make any debt/funding at the moment to buy a used ex taxi because a private car does not get the convoy and therefore no registration.

Taxi driver gives private phone number for return trip…
Hello, had a special experience on the weekend. We were taken to the disco at 8 in a small bus, I sat alone in front. During the drive the taxi driver asked me if we needed a taxi for the way back? I answered yes. Then he asked if I had the number? I said yes, also ordered the taxi and the number in the cell phone store. But he said “no, no, I give you my number, is better” I thought to myself: Ok…and I got his number tro But then I did the return trip with another taxi… The question now: What did he want to do? To fuck with his boss and make a private trip without a clock at the head office and put 15Euro bar in my own pocket?!

Parking on a taxi parking lot with a rental car?
Hello, I work at a passenger transport company and I don’t know exactly if I can stand with the rental car in a parking lot, which is designated as a taxi parking lot!? I often come in situations by driving a patient to the hospital, which is associated with waiting time, I park “naturally” on a taxi parking lot. Funk Error – Restart
Hello, where 212 EZ 06.12 comes, when I have on “Service” and “Dachzeichen”, after switching off the engine or when boarding always the following message in the AI: Radio error – restart with + Now we have no radios in our taxis for a long time. Can you delete the radio somehow from MB??? So that I can only set on or off on the menu “Vehicle” roof signs??? So no more “Service” or “Private” Thank you for your answers!

Selling taxi operations or how to continue?
Hello, I’m pretty new to this area, so I’d like to know your experiences and not be mocked. Last year I passed the test for a taxi operator concession and since then we have registered a taxi concession in Hamburg. In advance: I made the concession rather for my father, I don’t drive myself (not to mention that I have a taxi license). Everything runs on my name and just does my father. Like you The taxi covers only moderately the fixed costs and in case of greater damage of the vehicle we would probably fall into total failure. Now you could say: wrong calculated, driver is bad etc. We would also like to try it with a night driver, but now I am afraid that everything can go backwards. Also the idea to sell the taxi operation completely (with But I don’t think it’s relevant in Hamburg or is it worth it? Can you run the company as a family company somehow? Since we are currently regulating it so that my father gets 50% of his rides out and the rest, the fixed and variable costs are paid. Somehow this doesn’t work and that I always have to pay for my job for the taxi which is not in the sense of the inventor. I’m quite a uf the hose and sometimes apart from the stress in the family, I am already quite annoyed by the whole business. I was told that also 3 drivers should drive. If you drive father during the day, then for a week would be mo-fr for a night rider and on the WE for a night rider. But is there any night driver who drive only during the week? Question about pay as a taxi driver

Funny taxi drivers
Yesterday I had a very strange taxi driver from the airport to my home again. Stand next to his taxi and chatted with a colleague. I only had hand luggage and I meant to take it on the back seat when he was on his way to the trunk. So I tell him the destination (15€ driving) and he looks forward and shakes his head and stays in this position for 20 seconds. I wondered, he doesn’t even want to go off and at some point he did this too. And he puts such a belt dummy in his belt lock. The ride in itself was quite rough, as if he were gnatzig. Finally, he drives in on half a distance into a speed camera, I don’t know if it has flashed, but he has braked a group and then I see the mobile speed camera standing on the right. No comment on it from him (because I’m sorry for braking or something). At the finish I give him 16€ and let me issue the receipt, neither a thank you nor a goodbye from the F In hindsight, I got angry that I tipped him. The taxi was clean, it was well maintained and the receipt was clean and completely filled, but you can also be a bit friendly to customers, even if you have a bad day. Probably he had only short tours and for that he always stood at the airport for 3 hours but what can I do for it??? The taxi in the morning to the airport was a bit dirty inside (i.e. on the ground about sand etc. but the taxi driver was very friendly. I really prefer that, quite honestly.

Customer asks. Distance; 1.Taxi in queue?
Hello, here’s a question as a customer. I drive relatively often with you in various cities, both shorter routes (8-15€ turnover) and medium (airport => hotel) routes. In conversations with the drivers I always get contradictory answers to the question, what worthwhile trips are. Some of my longer routes are not worthwhile, cost too much time, the others tell me exactly the opposite. Can you explain me there? If I need a taxi for a short distance, take I also like a taxi from the rear end of the line, mostly because I also come from the direction and I want to advance the not insignificant length of the queue with luggage. I also say to myself that the front has had to wait forever and can now not use a short distance. Well I often have quite contradictory discussions with the driver, from great … until then I get “struggles” from my colleagues. How is your opinion?
