  • Retreadable re-bench

Hello Karoq driver, I am planning a new purchase and don’t get quite smart from the configuration of the back bench: if I don’t have the option of individually dismountable seats (don’t I need them), then I still have the opportunity to move the back bench in the whole? OR? And a level charging floor is still possible?? Thanks for your clarification. VG Herbert

  • Attach fire extinguishers

Where do I attach my 1 kg fire extinguisher in the Yeti so that it least disturbs

  • Buying advice Yeti for horse trailers

Hello, for my friend a change of vehicle is about to take place. It is supposed to go from a huge Renault Espace 4 with 2.2 liters 150 hp diesel to a smaller Skoda Yeti, because the Espace is now already around the 10 years old and so slowly the small woes come. Since my girlfriend is now unfortunately also diesel pampered, for this only the 2.0 liters 170 hp comes into question. Maybe it is also possible to switch to 1.8 TSI 160 hp. For me would be a useful ALternative, since the car otherwise I think a diesel is less useful because of the DPF. I myself had an Octavia Scout with 140PS 2.0TDI (already CR) and in 2 years at least already a defective differential pressure sensor. Therefore, I know something about the 2.0 TDI. Attachment load is another topic… The 1.8TSI 160PS has 1800KG. Is there a way to get to 2000-2200KG (additional load increase without AHK conversion)? The 2.0TDI with 170PS has already 2100KG. That would be enough. 1800KG is a bit tight with trailer and two horses. Last point: Is the DSG (oil bath, I have read) overloaded with trailer and mountain (Sauerland) and should one reach for a hand switch better? Thank you & Greeting David

  • Question about the guide bolt – hole minimally drilled too far

Hello all, I have taken minimally too much material when drilling the hole for the guide bolt. The game is a little bigger than on the other side, but both bolts generally have a little game. Since a paste comes in later, I wonder if the small additional game is negligible or if it could cause long-term problems. Does anyone with appropriate training or experience have an assessment of this? Here are some pictures to illustrate. Thank you for your helpfulness!

  • Toyota News

Hello, since the suspension of the news area on motor talk and the closure of a famous neighbor thread there is a certain news vacuum in the Toyotaforum. Therefore, I have been thinking for a few days about whether a thread for Toyota news would not make sense. I am thinking about news on the following topics: – product news – sales/turnover numbers (local and global) – vehicle tests – alternative drives (Hybrid, EV, FCEV) – new technologies (e.g. autonomous driving) – sporting engagements (e.g. WRC) – other projects (e.g. Toyota Woven City) So pretty much everything, with one restriction: direct reference to Toyota must be given. News about the competitors will surely find a more suitable place in other forums and I want to give certain discussions (Toyota vs. VW, FCEV vs. BEV etc.) targeted no more thread context. I will maintain this thread regularly and mainly news from the official portals of Toyota (https://global.toyota/en/en/en/en) but also of course, of course, of course, of course, of course, of the samepress.

  • Toyota Proace City Verso Motor 3-cylinder with 1.2 l timing belt at MJ 2025 still in the oil bath?

Hello, we are looking for a HDK. Rifter and Berlingo are still available only as diesel. E-Fzg. is currently eliminated, diesel wg. driving profile also. The Toyota 3-cylinder with 1.2 l and 110 hp would be suitable. What deters me a little is the topic with the timing belt in the oil bath. Is the principle still current in the Mj. 2025 or was this changed? Are there other diseases that involve costly repairs? Is this relax guarantee a mogelpack? I look forward to information.

  • 12v permanent plus socket

I have here a rental car, proace City, gasoline, probably 2024 or 2023. I want to convert one of the 12v sockets (in the center console or behind the right sliding door) or the usb socket at the back of the center console to continuous current. According to my previous research there could be somewhere a relay, soft with a bridge can be replaced. Only I can not get out so far where the corresponding relay is located. Can someone help me there? Please no discussion about the purpose of the shutdown, whether this is OK with the car rental and the meaning of the whole action ?? Best regards from the South d. S.

  • Made in Japan cars (1997-2005)

Hello dear Motor-Talk community, I did not find a suitable subforum for my question. I ask about cars that were built in Japan and sold in Germany regardless of which brand. Is there a way to find out if and when a certain model was produced in Japan? I know that the VIN code indicates where a specific car was produced. I would like to know, however, which models were produced in Japan and in what period of time.

  • Value loss of the upcoming GR86 (2022)

Hello together, I had decided to buy a used Toyota GT 86. However, since even for soon 6-8 years old you can now look good and like 20k, I thought if the new GR86 (comes in April 2022) is possibly also not a bad investment as a new car. Of course also here is to be reckoned with proper value loss but I could imagine that it is not as crass as with the average new car. Why? 1. It will only be sold 2 years in Europe, because then it will no longer correspond to the “security requirements” of the EU. 2. It is a Toyota. 3. It is probably one of the last of its kind in this price segment (manual, rear axle lock etc.). Do I talk about all this only nice or could be anything about my assessment?

  • Car smells strangely of disinfected air conditioning

I had my Toyota in the workshop. A lot of things were done. Since the air conditioning system had not cooled properly since last summer and now and then it has been noticed by a modrid smell, the workshop disinfected the air conditioning system and filled up liquid. Since then I can no longer get the car: shortness of breath, pain in the throat (am asthmatic). It smells of nutmeg in the car since then, bitingly after something chemical etc. Does anyone have an idea? That must not be after a disinfection or? I am totally perplexed, the workshop did not explain exactly how they disinfected me. But normally it would have to smell neutral or fresh afterwards?!
