Does the Picnic have a weak clutch ?? In the 4th gear it starts to slide on a case-by-case basis. Strangely, however, that I can let the wheels spin in the 1st gear. Also pulling my WW I have no problems. What could that be ??

My Toyota Previa burns oil– why?
For 3 months now we have been driving a used Toyota Previa,2.4 petrol engine the newer model year 2000. We bought it privately, because we would have paid double for a comparable vehicle at the dealer. Now, however, there is the problem, that it consumes a lot of oil, every 2 weeks 1L. Our workshop master said it could be either the shaft seal (rep. approx. 500€) or the piston seals (rep. approx. 400€)(I hope that I can now ric the possible diagnoses Has anyone ever had such a problem and had it repaired? Is it more likely that the shaft seal is broken or more likely that the piston seals are broken? Should it be a more frequent previa problem that the shaft seal is broken, I would have a repair done, but is it more likely that the piston seals are broken, I can save myself the effort and would then rather replenish oil regularly, instead of ine 4000€ to have repair done. Please write me your experiences.

Car advertising
Maybe the opportunity to discuss a topic with little potential for conflict. The Toyota Forum is not really the right place, but I don’t know where this should fit better at MT. If it’s not pleasant, please close it, Andy! So it’s about: Which car advertising, whether in the area of television, cinema, print, poster or radio is it? Which do you find successful, or iginell, funny, well done? And the other way around: Which is boring or just has the best times behind it? It’s all about advertising here; please avoid any drifting to the concrete product à la world domination threads. I’ll start with a negative example: The TV advertisement for the new Ford Mondeo. The spot splashes like this, you see many people staring at the air, until at the end the reason is shown why some people their old boxes a Disposing of balloons: The new Mondeo, where Ford makes the mistake similar to Toyota m. E., trusting in the supposed radiance of the brand and formulating “Mondeo. The new Ford”. As if you would get an accelerated pulse because of a “new Ford”. I find the advertising boring, and the idea didn’t end. Should the old boxes come down in Africa by chance? So, now it’s your turn. Let’s see how long it’s going on …

Driving report for the Urban Cruiser
In the Süddeutsche Zeitung there is a driving area to the UC, overall it does not get away so well:http://www.sueddeutsche.de/…/Short-haul-no-gooder-litter.html I can (unfortunately) understand the criticism of the materials, the interior in the UC does not leave a very high-quality impression.

Starts cooking
Hello! Have a problem with a Toyota previa 2.4 gasoline Automatic. The vehicle gets hot fast when driving and starts to cook, but if you switch on the heater and heating it is normal temperature.Head gasket would probably blow in the water circuit in the cold condition too? Can this vehicle be specially ventilated or just ventilated? Vicolafter I don’t know if you can also control something. If it should be the head gasket you have to remove the motor complete or not. Thanks for any advice

Toyota’s uproar is about to end…
Hello, if Toyota continues to drive its strange model policy, I am fully convinced that it is going down again strongly with the sales figures. The Avensis can no longer convince. The new great 177 hp diesel is sluggish and undynamic. The optics attract no one, is and remains like the old Carina a gray mouse. One has very little possibilities to design its Avensis inside (polster leather colors etc.) The audio system is a joke compared to weather competitors. I feel the same way for the Corolla Verso. The exterior appearance is top modern, but inside you have no possibilities of designing anything grey and black, no leather, etc. Celica and MR2 died on the German market, as well as the vans. If the new Corolla becomes just as boring, I see totally black for the future of Toyota in Germany. Since modern comfort and safety electronics are also available at Toyota the vehicles often go ka past is the alleged absence of defects… What do you think, what should Toyota change for the future, so that you can say with pride again: “I drive a Toyota”

Less power at switch-on air conditioning!
Hello! I drive a Toyota Picnic turbodiesel. For over 2 years I have had the following problem: When I turn on the air conditioner my Picnic goes down immediately with the power. If I turn the blower to the highest power, then I hear that the ventilation wheel rotates faster and more slowly. I also notice this when I step on the clutch, but the air conditioner is switched off! I also noticed at night that when the dome the light is getting a little weaker. If I stay on the clutch, the ventilation wheel turns slower at the moment, then it’s normal again. But I really have the biggest problem with the air conditioning switched on. If I also set the blower to the highest performance, it can happen that the car “rupts”. Of course I was already in some workshops! The first car workshop told me that the air conditioning had to be renewed. The second said that a new alternator would be installed. The next one said that the clutch was defective (but it was renewed about half a year ago). Another workshop told me that the gearbox was broken!!! The last workshop I visited actually meant that the summer didn’t last much longer anyway and I didn’t need the air conditioning anyway in the winter!!! So, now I hope that some specialists in this forum will be able to help me!!?? Thank you very much!!

Decommissioning premium causes second-hand car prices to fall alarmingly
Hello, today, after only half a year, the used car prices for our Corolla under Mobile.de looked at us was very terrified. In just 6 months there was another price decline of slightly more than 1000 euros. Unbelievable, and I put this on this premium, which in my opinion ruins a part of the car market, namely exactly the one, the favorable but nevertheless good used.

Toyota builds cars and has no rims
Hello, after 20,000 km Toyota-joy now the first blow with the rubber hammer in the middle of my so enthusiastic face so far. Nowhere there are 195 /65R15 rims for my Avensis. That means, yes, there is, but with 2 weeks delivery time. Now that almost more Toyotas drive around than some German cars: Do they have the A… on? So a stupid rim press does not cost the world, since you can tilt at every dealer times a pile of 100 pieces on the back of the yard as bulk goods, It doesn’t want to buy every 205 winter tire for half a fortune, which usually do even worse in the test than 195. Is there any remedy? Can one possibly replace the thing where the rims are screwed on against one with Opel rim mount or something?
