  • Corolla E12 2.0 D4-D

Hello forum, I have already familiarized myself with the reports here in the past weeks. I am very surprised how well some users describe the vehicles and draw attention to problems. I already drive the 6,7,8 Toyota and was so far very satisfied with the quality, is certainly also due to the good workshop here in PB-Elsen. So, now to the actual Therma: I am currently driving a Corolla E11 1,6 G6. In the past 3.5 years we (my wife and I) have this from 22 tsdkm to 120 tsdkm. We are top satisfied, low fuel consumption 7,4 ltr/100 km, no failures of electrics/electronics, no problems with the drive, no problems with the car. Nevertheless: Because of the km we consider to buy a Corolla E12 2,0 D4D with 116 hp in Sol equipment. Who has experience? Has someone let this vehicle maybe already 30-50 lower? Look forward to your posts – Greeting of the nijsseni

  • Toyota Yaris Verso, efficiency catalyst undercut

Hello, I have the following problem and hope that someone has similar experiences and can help me further: In my Toyota Yaris Verso 1.3 the yellow motor control light has been lit up again and again for 2 years. In the fault memory “Effectiveness Catalysts” is always below. Nevertheless, the car has passed the AU for the second time without any problems. The value for CO was 0.017Vol% two weeks ago. The answer from all the workshops is, of course, “First Lambda probe, then change cat and if it wasn’t, we’ll continue to see.” Of course, the bill can get longer and longer. Has anyone of you ever had such a mistake and could it be fixed and how? And does anyone know how the efficiency of the on-board electronics is determined at all? After all, the CO content before and after Kat is not measured directly; thus, parameters are read which are based on the efficiency of the on-board electronics. Is the back pressure measured in front of the cat?

  • Toyota Proace Verso 2017- espionage software

Hi guys, I made a disturbing discovery through another forum. Press the touch version of the radio (with integrated Navi) a little longer at the same time on the Tasen left for the car and the radio. Then comes a PIN query, which you answer with 1111 and you see a long list of files, all several MB large, which contains all the motion data of the vehicle – so the information from the other forum. Is no matter whether Toyota, Citroen or Peugeot the same! l try to read them out… If they really collect all the data and, for example, read out during inspections, that would be a scandal without the same thing. What do you think? LG

  • Non-Toyota Drivers at Toyota Forum

When I look at the threads here in the Toyota forum, there are always a lot of contributions from non-Toyota drivers to find here. They even master the discussion or at least try it. I say this now completely without any content rating. Would I really be interested in whether in the VW, Opel, Mercedes or Audi forums so many Toyota drivers also turn around, who think to have to let off their mustard there … Somehow as a Toyota driver I have no motivation to get into the What do I care about Polo, Golf & Co? But the other way around, these people seem to be interested in Toyota & Lexus’ quirks. Maybe someone can tell me about their motivation …

  • Angry interns…

Is it more a matter for people from the field…. My colleague is a car master and always annoys his interns, because when changing oil hold the brown pole or send the boys to the camp to get green sparks…… Do you have some things to “warn” interns??? Mfg

  • Difficult question…

Hello all, I’m on my way to sell my Corolla and take my station wagon but definitely no Corolla because the design is absolutely not right in my (our) opinion. Now the question what would you take: -comb and diesel – around the 50tkm – and max 13TEUR(which the Corolla is highly valued) tendency to focus at the moment because the price is right and which is not such a flaw is MfG

  • What engine for Yaris?

Hello, my friend wants to buy a Yaris (new car). Which engine would you recommend, 1.0 or 1.3? She drives mostly city traffic or highway (directive speed) and is not particularly sporty ambitious. That’s why I thought the small 1.0 engine would be enough and is also the most economical. Or is it undermotorized? Does it matter negatively that he has only 3 cylinders? (quiet running etc.). Unfortunately I didn’t have time to come with the test drive, and m a friend is indiscriminate (“Can you judge hard on such a short distance”. Maybe someone already has the new Yaris with 1.0 or 1.3 machine here and can report on his everyday experiences and the everyday average consumption. Thanks already in advance…..

  • Engine brake, push-off, when do they inject again?

Hello guys, I would like to introduce the topics of engine brake and thrust-off. My poor knowledge: With the engine brake you can drive long distances downhill without sacrificing your brakes. In urban traffic you can reduce fuel consumption and brake wear. In contrast, the engine, transmission and clutch have to pick up more. As far as I know my Starlet is already injecting at 2400 rpm again, i.e. I have to switch down rather high-toured to activate the thrust-off.
