  • Toyota Proace Verso – Loading floor and bed installation

Hello in the round! I used the holiday in Bavaria and built me an intermediate floor in the cargo space, which I can enlarge to the front to the bed. Here are some pictures…. I’m not quite finished, the mattress is still missing and I will paint the frame black. The height is so that the seats just fit underneath, so do not have to be removed. The frame consists basically of three transverse beams, which can be plugged together with a plug-in system. n only the rear part is left standing, the front can be inserted as needed. The whole can be stored in the garage with little space. At the Proace itself no changes are necessary, the frame is free and secured with tension straps, compared to the side cladding it is secured with felt inserts against scratching. Do not flap, and has passed the load test with over 240kg already (the whole family, not only me ;-)) If it interests me, I can gladly I have one more question: Who of you has a tip on what I can do to improve the occupant protection in the event of a rear impact? It is currently built in such a way that the frame is pulled away by a normal car in the event of an impact and it collapses, but I still have no idea what I can do against an impact of a higher vehicle (bus or truck). n? Or is there the motto: Praying? Best regards, Michael

  • Workshop annoyance – Gear oils for Toyotas

I need a relatively timely information, from someone who knows the following thing: Our Corolla (bj. 07, 68,000 km) can only be switched very laboriously since a repair on the gearbox. Even at step speed (approx. 3-5 km/h!) the first gear only goes in after a long time. Because of this problem the car was a total of 4 times in the workshop, last were replaced clutch and pressure plate, which did not create any remedy. Today the workshop called: Es w if another gear oil is tried out and the first gear can now be switched better (which means that I will find out then). But I don’t want to go there unprepared: Can Toyota use an oil with lower viscosity or is there a specification in which exactly one type is specified? I want the actual fault to be eliminated and no half-hearted solution. Do I have to be satisfied with it? Greetings eciman

  • Toyota Avensis or Mazda 6-diesel

Hello, we want to get a used station wagon at the end of this year. Currently we drive an Avensis from 2003 (petrol, 1.8 engine) for 9 years and are very satisfied despite the age. Since I will drive at least 35,000 KM a year from next year, we wanted to buy a diesel. We can’t decide whether Toyota or Mazda, both like us very well and we have not had bad experiences so far, neither we with our Avensis, nor m a father with his Mazda (petrols). Since the age is not so important to us, but rather the reliability is in the foreground, I wanted to ask the professionals here which year of construction of both mentioned options is recommended.

  • Toyota PICNIC 2.0 Central locking system

Hello, I’ve had my Toyota PICNIC for 11 years now. I’m really happy with it. Unfortunately, however, the door locks slowly start spinning around. As the keys are slowly worn out, the door locks don’t always work. They just hook up. Couldn’t you just install a radio actuation for the ZV, so you don’t have to use the door locks anymore? If one of you knows a recommended system with at least 3 radio remote controls? Thank you so much! Greetings PCDC89

  • Leasing – Resignation of contract within 14 days

Hello, a buddy of mine has happened: He wanted to buy an Avensis, cash plus payment. The dealer, for whatever reason, swam up a leasing contract – because supposedly this is cheaper for the dealer and he wants to meet my buddy also. Now buddy with old vehicle had total damage – himself guilt – no comprehensive. He now doesn’t want the Avensis anymore – no – he can’t afford it now and got a superange offered by another buddy who wants to give him his 3-year car Avensis cheaply. The first buddy read through his lease agreement, it says: “A lease agreement can be revoked within 14 days after signature without giving reasons by the buyer. This also cancels the order of the car.” So now buddy has revoked the contract and was of the opinion that he is out of the contract. But the dealer now turns himself over and says that he is different opinion. The dealer agrees to cancel the lease, but the dealer thinks that buddy has to take off the vehicle anyway, since the dealer has already ordered it. What is right now? If the leasing contract says that can be revoked within 14 days and an order is therefore obsolete, can the dealer say that this does not apply to him and he must then take off the vehicle?

  • Buying a car can’t make the right decision….

Hello! I would like to use the scrapping premium and get rid of my old car. Now, however, I am not conclusive which car I want to have. Two I have taken into the narrow selection. Now, however, the question is which one it will be. To the selection: Toyota Corolla Verso Sol or Skoda Octivia Ambiente Combi which has now been launched in January. Both drive very well, both have promised me during the test drive. What I noticed is that the Toyota is more expensive but still practice r has a little more “luxury” than the Skoda. For example, an automatic climate control system with adjustable temperatures for drivers and passengers, leather steering wheel, leather knob, 7 seats instead of five. But I don’t know if these things, which are worth the money you have to pay for the Toyota. Who has the choice, has the agony…. is really difficult. From the space offer they do not do much and according to the brochure also not of consumption…. Does not one of you have a advice for me…. would be great, am not so enc 😉 LG Helleri PS: I didn’t know if I should bring this to the Toyota Forum or the Skoda Forum.

  • Problems when switching/when changing gears the engine is crying.

I drive a new TOYOTA RAV4, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with 112 kW (152 hp) (VVTi) since 08/06 I switch the car exactly as I have switched all cars up to now: 1. Take foot from the accelerator pedal 2. Coupling step in 3. Put in gear 4. Let go of the clutch 5. Give up gas But between 1 and 2 the engine wakes up strongly every time. The workshop thinks that is normal with the car. Because of the emission of pollutants it is no different. This is the software setting. I think: So k It’s cruel. Unparticipated passers-by watch when I turn by. Who knows advice?

  • YARIS TS, Model 2005 – Chassis problems

Hello dear Yaris community, have tried the search to find nothing to my question. the following phenomenon: Our friendly Toyota dealer gave us around 20mm per wheel bolted track widths. In winter our little one ran on 175/65 R 14 (taken over from previous Corolla) with track plates wonderfully straight. Since then the change back to the series TS-summer-alus makes the steering what she wants: 1. Track fidelity against zero, constantly you have to correct. 2. to the left “falls” the TS into the Turns, to the right you have to press more strongly on the steering wheel. Info: mileage: approx. 8.000km, of which approx. 50% on summer tires, normal driving mode. Last year was measured vehicle, all values in the standard range. thank you for your help, gruss TouranJojo
