  • Contract workshop vs. Free workshop during leasing

Moin, I’m currently driving a Skoda Karoq Sportsline, which is why I want to place the topic here – although everyone can certainly help me with leasing experience within the VW Group … And that’s why the Karoq is leased (as before also Seat and VW) – but I have always been ALWAYS with all the vehicles for all the maintenance work in the respective contract workshops, mostly even in the car dealerships where the vehicles were bought. To have an oil change as well as possibly renewing the brakes in the back in a free workshop, I only wonder if this could have some negative effect on the leasing return – or other things to consider – how are your experiences? Thank you and many greetings

  • Inspection Toyota Mirai 2

Hello, who has also owned the Mirai 2 for about 2 years and can tell me how much he paid for the inspection? My 1st inspection cost 360,- and the 2nd now more than 500,-! I am shocked, because in the sales interview I was told in advance that the maintenance costs were very low because of the few parts – and now that… Am I pulled over the table by my dealer?

  • Does Toyota have huge rust problems? (cross-model!)

Hello together Due to the very good reviews in car newspapers, from the Tüv report and the ADAC breakdown statistics I bought for my wife a Yaris as a winter car. So far, so good, from outside topp, no scratches, no rust pimple, clean car, workshop maintained and TÜV in May 2020 new. Today, when changing from summer to winter tires hit me the blow! Achräger, brake calipers and underbody totally rusted! He maybe still manages to get the next TÜV, but then he comes into the press. I want to give it back and that was the first and last Toyota! Now I’ve Googled a little (I better did before) and seen the Toyota generally very rusty, which I wouldn’t have thought. Nothing is impossible Toyota? And yet!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPk2oncuVpYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFrn68I4SEo Rost seems to be at Toyota state of technology.

  • Mirai 1 USA Model NSL (nebular light) retrofit.

Hello, have a Mirai year 2016, U.S. version. For the HU I have to retrofit a rear fog lamp (NSL). Since the Fzg. has no fog lights, the NSL must only be switched on when the dipped light is on and must switch off again when the dipped light is switched off. The Fzg. has LED headlights which are probably CAN bus controlled. The problem: I find no usable signal (12 V + or -) when switching on the dipped light to control a corresponding relay. Have also looked for CANbus adapter / converter, found nothing that fits the Mirai. Does anyone have experience with this topic? Thanks already for numerous answers.

  • Wheel size MR2 W3

Hello everyone. Short description of my problem. My father-in-law, Spaniard, 81 years young, bought a MR2 last week in Germany and would like to drive the nearly 3000km back home at the end of the week. Now I have ordered two new front tyres, because the mounted 19 years old are. A spare wheel is missing unfortunately, and this is my next construction site. I would put an old summer tire on a steel rim, that is at least his wish. My question now is, what size is the rim, which fits in front and back on it? It’s a 4 LK. Which ET is needed? Or would someone have to leave something useful here in the round at short notice? Guys, I thank you for the answers and wish you a relaxed Sunday. Steffen

  • Workshop refuses invoice and part numbers – what to do?

I have a Toyota Yaris (built in 2004) with 76,000 km of mileage. The car had problems with the up-turning, which is why I put it in a workshop. The diagnosis of the workshop was: wheel bearings defective, both had to be replaced. I was called a price of 250 euros per wheel bearing. The repair was carried out, but only at the wheel bearings of the rear axle. I found this questionable, because I am not sure whether the problem actually came from the rear wheel bearings. When I asked the workshop for a detailed invoice and the part numbers of the installed spare parts, I was denied this. At my repeated urge, because I have a right to know what I am paying for, I was simply told to contact their lawyer if I had any further questions. My questions: Do I have a right to receive a full invoice including part numbers? How can I resist this lack of transparency and possibly excessive prices? Has someone had similar experiences or knows how to do so best? I am grateful for every tip or experience, because I do not feel very much about it.
