Hello! Can anyone estimate at what maximum speed you can travel with the 1.2 TSI Yeti on the BAB that it is still compatible with consumption? Maximum speed is given at 175.

  • Yeti 1,2l,2010, engine problems, worth repair yet

Hello, we still have a Yeti 1,2l, petrol, built in 2010, 164.000 km, switchcar. Should be driven to the TÜV in March and a few more years. Was very satisfied so far. Unfortunately engine problems, engine in emergency run, 3 warning lamps light up. In the workshop my mechanic said after testing, for exact damage detection the cylinder head would have to be lowered. That is without the cost for the actual damage already € 800-1,000,- Down oil outlet, i.e. no TÜV acceptance. My mechanic thinks selling in this condition and buying new used ones. It doesn’t hold anything from the small gasoline engines and would recommend a diesel, 2l. My driving performance is about 10-15,000 km/year What would you recommend ?. Repair or sell and switch to diesel. Can you buy a 2l diesel yeti with higher mileage (about 100,000 km) as a switchcar or there are also problems. Thank you for your decision help. Greeting Loty

  • Ruckle in sliding mode 2 liters diesel 4×4 140hp

Hello in the round I have been owner of a Skoda Yeti 2 liter diesel 4×4 140 hp built in 2009. The vehicle is rolling in sliding mode about 1300-1500 revolutions, 3 gear 34-38 km/h, road is going off slightly mountain. When accelerating in 1 gear there is a short power drop at about 2100 revolutions. That’s what it does sporadically in warm and cold condition. Was already several times at the Skoda dealer. Softwarupdat was made last year in December. Another Skoda workshop had AGR valve and throttle valve were connected to the plant. The drop-out at 2100 revolutions is gone, only the jerking still does not appear when I am in the workshop. Since I bought the car they only tell me a bullshit like something about air pressure etc, so would be normal. If someone has the same problem or can help me. PS. Had a yeti before that did not make all this. Greetings Dirk

  • New Yeti 170PS TDI EU import take-your-car

Plan for the coming winter to buy a Yeti 170PS TDI. As an EU import about “Take-Your-Car” near Hamburg, maybe someone has had experience with it? Please also ask for opinions on the Yeti 170 HP TDI (performance, consumption, quality impression etc). Plane 170PS TDI Ambition plus with the 2 color 17 inch rims, outside color white with black roof, plus Xenon (is that good for Skoda?) and a radio swing without sound system (sufficient?) Thank you in advance!

  • Our Yeti is now history – Never again a vehicle from the VW Group

Hello together, our Yeti, who was a super vehicle, we gave in payment this week. His successor is a beautiful Mazda CX-5 in magmarot. For us definitely no more vehicle from the VW Konzefrn is in question. Our decision was strengthened by the statement by the chairman of the board Mr. Müller of the week before last to no longer subsidize the diesel drivers. First the people, not compensate in Germany and then play the Dieseljudas. N Thank you! Greetings Vichy

  • Diesel engine 110hp

Moin, I’m looking for an economical and reliable SUV. At the moment we still have a Toyota RAV4, 2.0vvti, 4×4, 150hp petrol. In terms of reliability, the Toyota is a power, but the 10l consumption is not so great with wise driving. That’s why a more economical car should come here and here I swung between the Tiguan 140 hp diesel and the Yeti with 110hp diesel. Both should be quite economical. Since my budget is only about 8-9000 euros, the search circle is only What do you say about this? How reliable are the engines in particular? I would be happy about information VG

  • Retrofit AHK

Hello everyone, since I did not find a suitable, current entry for my “problem”, I thought I’d open a new topic for this. So it’s about my Yeti and its non-existent AHK. I decided to grow a later on (let it be). Now I’m not a professional in this area and hope for your help in this respect. I’m generally not sure if I should go with my project to Skoda myself? Would you just think that I would leave more money there? Or would it also be possible to order an AHK on the net or maybe even look for one on the scrap yard? Is there a bit of skill to assemble it yourself? Is the simplicity dependent on the model, i.e. rigid or removable? Or should this rather be done by a workshop? Maybe apart from Skoda itself? There are no differences with regard to the train load, or? I have already seen that the starry ones are looking for a lot of pre- Oh God, questions about questions, I hope you can help me and answer some questions. Thank you very much, Maik

  • Skoda Yeti Facelift Noise insulation?

Hello, wanted to ask, how is the noise insulation at the Skoda Yeti Facelift? Drive a Passat CC at the moment and find the engine compartment insulation very good, because you don’t know if the engine is on at all. You always hear that the insulation at Skoda is not so good. What are your experiences?

  • Karoq: Rear brakes

Hello, since June 19 have a Karoq TSI with 150 hp, automatic, 4800 km. Unfortunately, I have been annoyed for a long time: When driving backwards, one or both rear brakes “ratter or swing” and make a hell of a noise. I have the assumption that this can be due to loose brake pads or not completely loosening brake. When driving forward, this problem is not present. Maybe someone can help me in the forum? Thank you for the answers.

  • Original swivelling AHK retrofitting

Hello everybody, has anyone ever retrofitted an original swivelling AHK on its Karoq? The retrofit of almost 1200€ in the car dealership for such a simple thing was personally too expensive for me and a rigid or removable AHK is not possible for me. For the conversion the following is needed: – original swivelling AHK – 4x screw for the AHK attachment – ECU 5Q0907383N – button for the boot – coding of the control units The original swivelling AHK (235€) and the control unit I guess (122.50€) I already got it. Now only from Skoda needs this button and the original fixing screws. To encode I have VCDS there. So can start the retrofit soon.
