Hi together, I’m currently looking for a used Skoda Yeti and I came across an article at the ADAC (https://www.adac.de/…/) during my research, which says that the Yeti had problems with a long chain until 2015. In various forums, however, it is said that these control chains should be solved already from 2013. Does any of you happen to know a little more about it? From what year of construction is “safe” what these control chains are Problem? Had looked at a Skoda Yeti built in 2013, for example, yesterday, had directly “rattled” when starting (cold start). Hello, last week I bought a used Yeti Bj 7/2010 with 19500 km, I am very satisfied with the driving behaviour and consumption. Today my neighbour arrived and delivered me the ordered fuel oil, and told, that another customer with his Yeti was also Bj. 2010 to the service in the workshop and this then would have dismantled the cladding of the doors to look for possible rust spots, and one noticed on all 4 doors rust and now the doors should be renewed, It is said that you would have problems with any batch. Has anyone heard of this yet ? Should I perhaps address the Skoda dealer where I bought the vehicle ? Guarantee I still have on the vehicle , I even extended the factory warranty to two years . Hello – maybe one of you can help me. My father would like to buy a Skoda Yeti (2.0 tdi with 4×4 and 110 hp) The workshop of his trust (free) advised against it (of all current VW group cars). Especially the 140hp diesel should be unreliable and also the 110hp variant should have its problems. Can anyone confirm this the current cars from the VW group should not be particularly reliable? Does someone have a Yeti and can do this better? The one from the workshop said that the oil pump often causes problems. Would I be happy about many helpful answers and would like to thank you in advance:-) MFG Michael

Hello I’m driving a Skoda Roomster until now – and somehow it did to me Skoda. 🙂 Now with child and cone it should be a Skoda Yeti. With timing belts (from 2015?) but which engine is recommended and which one not? I am really layman and hope for your expert opinion. Thank you in advance.. Greetings Andreas

YETI Approval 9.12.2014. Dot New instrument cluster RADIO-NAVI. No single CD can be played anymore, Tra la la only via SD card or USB stick. Hello, with my Yeti 2.0/110 4×4 the rear brake disc re. in the outer area is only rust, in the middle 2 bright wrinkles and in the inside more or less brightly ground. i.e. the braking force lies only in the inner area. I was at the dealer because I wanted to claim this after 9 months or 7′ km as a deficiency. This one said one must drive more powerfully or brake, not so careful. Warranty would be only 6 months. Find a replacement for my Jeep Grand Cherokee, as I no longer need the large trailer load (3500 kg) for my boat. I thought about a Yeti, driving about 10-15000 KM a year in the city-land traffic. Hello! Is it true that you get the service interval proposed by the Yeti depending on driving (max. 30000 kilometers, max. 2 years) and you have to do this in order not to lose the warranty? I’d rather ask you, because the young boys in the car business seem nice and friendly, but not always omniscient. What does the interval depend on? Hopefully the computer doesn’t just count the number of engine starts (possibly also at the railway barrier)?

I’ve been looking at the Yeti for a long time. However, I’d like to have more than 122 hp. I guess it’s only available with four-wheel drive so far. I don’t need it. Can anyone say if a moderate chip tuning (on 152 hp) with the Yeti 1.4/122 hp is compatible with all the units of this model or does someone even have experience with chip tuning with this engine?
