Buying advice Yeti for horse trailers
Hello, for my friend a change of vehicle is about to take place. It is supposed to go from a huge Renault Espace 4 with 2.2 liters 150 hp diesel to a smaller Skoda Yeti, because the Espace is now already around the 10 years old and so slowly the small woes come. Since my girlfriend is now unfortunately also diesel pampered, for this only the 2.0 liters 170 hp comes into question. Maybe it is also possible to switch to 1.8 TSI 160 hp. For me would be a useful ALternative, since the car otherwise I think a diesel is less useful because of the DPF. I myself had an Octavia Scout with 140PS 2.0TDI (already CR) and in 2 years at least already a defective differential pressure sensor. Therefore, I know something about the 2.0 TDI. Attachment load is another topic… The 1.8TSI 160PS has 1800KG. Is there a way to get to 2000-2200KG (additional load increase without AHK conversion)? The 2.0TDI with 170PS has already 2100KG. That would be enough. 1800KG is a bit tight with trailer and two horses. Last point: Is the DSG (oil bath, I have read) overloaded with trailer and mountain (Sauerland) and should one reach for a hand switch better? Thank you & Greeting David

Timing belts for the Yeti – TSI – engines ?
Dear Yeti fans, who knows if and when the new VW TSI engines with timing belts are also installed in the Yeti? I can only consider the changes in VW as an admission that the improved chain drive has not brought a breakthrough in durability!

Yeti 1.2TSI Cool Edition Luggage compartment vs. wheelchair or dog box
Hello together, at the moment a Passat Variant Bj 2011. I discovered today og. Yeti with daily registration for 17900 Euro (200 km, no four wheel) Since we have to transport again and again in change either a wheelchair or a medium sized dog box, asks me the question whether the YETI is suitable. Has anyone had experience in this regard? Friday I have the appointment to test and estimate the passat at the friendly dealer where I also bought the passat. I’d like to know how to drive in winter with snow. The box shape of the Yeti might not be as fast as the passat, would it? I’m happy about the answers 🙂

1.2 Tsi too low performance for Yeti? Purchase advice…
Hello everyone, we are looking for a Yeti. We are looking for a used car for the first time and are therefore a bit overwhelmed. We like the yeti super purely optically, technically we just need a little more know how. We have noticed on the edge that the 1.2 engine with 110Ps is simply too weak (says so?!) for a „such a big car”. Even because it weighs something in itself. We want to use it for the city and at the most once a year with it on holiday. ahren (without trailer, but with luggage for up to four people and yes, that he does not have a huge trunk, we have noticed ) Is there anything else to consider? We are looking for models – logically- not older from 2017, 50000km max driven, circuit and actually 1.4 Tsi, but I don’t know if you can make an exception…

Yeti 1,2l,2010, engine problems, worth repair yet
Hello, we still have a Yeti 1,2l, petrol, built in 2010, 164.000 km, switchcar. Should be driven to the TÜV in March and a few more years. Was very satisfied so far. Unfortunately engine problems, engine in emergency run, 3 warning lamps light up. In the workshop my mechanic said after testing, for exact damage detection the cylinder head would have to be lowered. That is without the cost for the actual damage already € 800-1,000,- Down oil outlet, i.e. no TÜV acceptance. My mechanic thinks selling in this condition and buying new used ones. It doesn’t hold anything from the small gasoline engines and would recommend a diesel, 2l. My driving performance is about 10-15,000 km/year What would you recommend ?. Repair or sell and switch to diesel. Can you buy a 2l diesel yeti with higher mileage (about 100,000 km) as a switchcar or there are also problems. Thank you for your decision help. Greeting Loty

Ruckle in sliding mode 2 liters diesel 4×4 140hp
Hello in the round I have been owner of a Skoda Yeti 2 liter diesel 4×4 140 hp built in 2009. The vehicle is rolling in sliding mode about 1300-1500 revolutions, 3 gear 34-38 km/h, road is going off slightly mountain. When accelerating in 1 gear there is a short power drop at about 2100 revolutions. That’s what it does sporadically in warm and cold condition. Was already several times at the Skoda dealer. Softwarupdat was made last year in December. Another Skoda workshop had AGR valve and throttle valve were connected to the plant. The drop-out at 2100 revolutions is gone, only the jerking still does not appear when I am in the workshop. Since I bought the car they only tell me a bullshit like something about air pressure etc, so would be normal. If someone has the same problem or can help me. PS. Had a yeti before that did not make all this. Greetings Dirk

New Yeti 170PS TDI EU import take-your-car
Plan for the coming winter to buy a Yeti 170PS TDI. As an EU import about “Take-Your-Car” near Hamburg, maybe someone has had experience with it? Please also ask for opinions on the Yeti 170 HP TDI (performance, consumption, quality impression etc). Plane 170PS TDI Ambition plus with the 2 color 17 inch rims, outside color white with black roof, plus Xenon (is that good for Skoda?) and a radio swing without sound system (sufficient?) Thank you in advance!
