Hello, the Fox 1.2 is a three-cylinder… is it as long-lasting as a four-cylinder? Does the steering chain? How often does the Fox have to be for maintenance and how expensive is it? How high is the speed at 100km/h and 120km/h? And what is the realistic consumption then, at the speeds in long-distance operation (about 50km at a time).? Since I am looking for a cheap small car, which should run and keep many kilometers, the Fox has come into the race. Unfortunately I do not know any Fox – owner, which one could ask personally.

Heating / Temperature Fox 1,2 with climate – Help !!
On my Fox (Cab Fox) 1.2 with air conditioning the following problem occurs: Air conditioning (climatics) switched off: Either I set the temperature regulator to completely cold (that is to say turned to the left) then cold air comes out of the ventilation! If I turn the switch only by one millimeter in the direction of warm, hot air comes out of the ventilation! In between there is nothing, it is only asscold or boiling hot! The same applies with the air conditioning turned on. I only noticed the problem now, since the controller was always cold in the summer and the car is only used as a second car anyway! We have the Fox since March 2007. km stood about 9000 km There may be only one mechanical problem, i.e. the controller defective. Someone has already noticed something like this???

Damage to the new Fox… now higher insurance??
HI… today I picked up my new Fox from the dealer’s shop and…(yes, it’s stupid) I’ve already made a damage to the car… I missed a low wall on the right side when driving into a narrow road and took it with me. The wall is fine…only my Foxi now has clear paint damage right in front of the rear wheel. The wheel cap also got some scratches off. Now I drove the car back to the dealer’s shop and asked about it. I have comprehensive insurance with “only” 300€ excess and the dealer told me at the time of purchase that I would not only have lower costs for the insurance through the “Young Driver Program” but also the security during the leasing period in case of a damage not to be able to be high graded. Now the car man from the workshop told me that I would nevertheless be highly graded and that the damage should not be regulated by the insurance. However, the costs would then be in the range of approx. 1,500€ since maybe also the rear axle could have moved. Now my question is: Has someone been here in a similar situation? With VW insured in connection with the “Young driver program” and then had a damage? Because now I have to weigh up what the bigger evil is… the double insurance contributions for fully comprehensive non liability ht or the purchase of the repair costs… I am glad about any relevant answer Mfg

Fox or not Fox?!?
Hello, I’m new here with you, Roll Eyes bought a Fox 1.2l last week, SchwarzMagickPearl., Klima, Servo, Radio CD, for 9100 euros. On the speedometer stood 12000 kilometers, first registration is 25.06.2007. I bought the car from the VW dealer as an annual car. The car looked good, engine runs well, inside everything was great from the first impression. So I was happy too, but now I read in various forums that the Fox is the absolute scrap car that constantly any Mac I am now shocked to read about this. My car is now delivered in 5 days and I don’t know if I should be happy now or not?!? can you tell me a little bit about your experience with the reliability of the Fox, and if the car is well processed? thank you Carcosa Huh

2 problems (wipe & display window)
So I already mentioned in some threads that I have problems with my display windows, a “solution” link but there is not an easier way to stop the squeaking of my display windows? So that was now the smaller problem now to the main problem why I also opened the thread. So I have pure water in my wiper system, yes I hear you already scream, but I filled it up as here were 12°C and I didn’t think about Frost. Well, of course, I’m not thinking about Frost. Efroren, what should Shit Happens. BUT now come on, I tested once if they are really tight, they were, no water came. Press the wiper again, nothing happens, no other setting, rear windscreen wiper nothing, any positions don’t work, but the button for the rear window heater. So now start to tingle what to do!

Inspection 30,000 km
Hello people, wanted to know what you think about it. I have heard the following: Since quality and safety are very important to me in a car, I decided to use a new VW car. It is all the more incomprehensible to me that a single brake disc is oxidized on my vehicle with a first registration from 16.02.2006 and after only 30.712 km. To put it clearly: It is only the brake disc on the left front affected and there is only corrosion at one point. I was told in the workshop and at the quality complaint point that this was a mess! I am a woman and had to be fed off on the grounds that this corrosion has occurred due to a longer standstill of the car, although I announced that my car is moving at least every day more than 50 km. But now my trust in VW is quite scratched. Since this inspection, which cost me almost 500 €, I have the feeling that something with the transmission The car sounds loud. If I push through the clutch at a standstill, the noise is gone, when driving it is there. Now I wanted to go to another neutral workshop. I am very curious about your answers and thank you in advance.
