It’s me again .. Have as good as a VW Fox 1.2. My question is now with which means you can get power from the 55hp? I know that this is a 3 cylinder engine and I know that you can’t get 200hp out of the engine, but there will certainly be some things like that. So what I have to buy so far is a sports exchange filter. Please for your help. xPload

Mileage indicator has failures
My Fox is now about 1 1/4 year old and I haven’t had any big problems yet! For a few weeks now some “strikes” of the KM-display have been out…..sometimes they’re gone, sometimes they’re there….NERV! Have you ever heard of it and what is it?

Buy 1.4L or 1.2L which?
Tach, wanted to get me a Fox as an Altags car. And I’m not so sure which one to take. Drive then about 15,000km a year. Actually I wanted to take the 1.4L machine with 75Ps, because I think this will last longer. The 3-cylinder is naturally a whole corner cheaper and also as a year car much easier to get. Only of such small machines I don’t really think so much. How are the experiences with the durability etc.?

VW Fox – Good sides?
Hello and happy new year for now! I need a (relatively) cheap diesel car at short notice. So far I have only looked around for Lupo and Polo models, but a few days ago I stepped on the Fox. I thought that I would get some information about the nice little car – I have also done here in the forum. Now I noticed that there are incredibly many people having severe problems with their Fox. I need (at least) the next three and a half Yes is a reliable, economical car, because I drive 150 km daily… Are there also good sides to the Fox, except the low purchase price? Tomorrow I look at a few used Fox models, all under 20000 km. Now I’ve become stutzig because of it – there comes the feeling that already after “only” 15000 km they want to “lose” … or am I paranoid? A few things, like climate and central locking are already somehow important to me, and a new Fox with this equipment is already almost too expensive for me, if I can get a used model with a small km-run time at a much cheaper price.. Therefore my used car search. Does one of you also have the 1.4 Diesel Fox and can perhaps say something about consumption, and even more important, about highway behavior? (driving almost exclusively highway..) I have been looking for a long time in the forum, and also read around e.g. in the thread “Fox or Polo”, but honestly was there so o If I were to be very happy about a few answers, I’m quite insecure at the moment. My greetings Summers

Windscreen washing system – weak performance
Hello, on the last autobahn ride I noticed for the first time how weak the windscreen washer system with this fan nozzle is. Only excessive spraying leads to a complete cleaning of the windscreen. Maybe my nozzles are wrong or do you feel the same way and if yes, there are alternative to the fox nozzles ? Ciao Matze

1.4 TDI with 110hp…!
http://www.bb-automobiltechnik.de/…/mvw_fox_14_tdi.php Sometimes an intressant link, for all those who want to make their Fox 1.4 TDI even more powerful… Up to 110hp, that’s awesome… And at an extra cost you get even 3 years warranty on engine, transmission and drive… That’s a word… So if you want to and especially the purse, you can make your Fox a little racing emblem, for the feeling of sports car and also certainly funny, if you then with a Fox a passat, or Benz is driving away… MfG

Shredding/freezing of the discs
Hello together, since the Fox is my first car, I can’t judge if my observations are normal. I mean, it’s normal that the windows are fogged when you just get in in the winter and breathe like wild. But with my Foxi it’s like that inside is at least as much moisture on the windshield as outside. I had even two days since the disc was covered on both sides with ice. I can’t say now that the car is leaking or ir But I have to say that this is quite stressful when you have to run the engine for 10-15 minutes, until a bit warmer air comes up, that you can look out. If I don’t help with a cloth, the water does not disappear inside. Do you have any tips? How are these “alumates” for the disc? Then at least it wouldn’t freeze so much from the outside?! Costs 2€ the things. Better the first minutes of air around? Then you can but you don’t activate the ventilation for the front windows. Please tell me your experiences. Because if this goes on, then I don’t know what to do at -10°C. mfg

Fox 06/2010…. is he a drunk?
For a week I could enjoy this little bag, which was quite lushly equipped. Except for a climate everything was available, with a folding roof. Due to the folding roof, the wind noises were somewhat more audible than desired and the average consumption was over 1000Km at 7.4 liters (AB & Stadt). I had never before been interested in this model and I was finally torn back and forth. The tachometer unit looks optically cheap, but is surprisingly complex. the LED display in the dark, however, thanks to the switch to red, hardly decipherable. The steering looks spongy up to 30Km/h, the seats a little too soft in the side support. Nevertheless, the “little” felt rather agile and was amazingly spacious. A little more power, more cuddly in driving behaviour and more insulation material… I could be enthusiastic about it with a consumption of around 6 liters.
