  • How much is this lupo worth?

    Hiho…..I as a polo driver don’t have the plan so I want to ask here… so my girlfriend has a Lupo, which she might want to sell…but we would like to know what else to take for it…. data: Lupo 1.0 37kw (I don’t have engine identification letters now unfortunately) almost 80.000km timing belts, water pump and co already renewed color: red almost no stacks 35mm lower equipment ishalt the easiest thing there is (as far as I know) i.e. no electric windowsh eber or so… also no ZV hmm yes and when she bought the car 3 years ago from the VW dealer of her trust, it cost almost 700€ and had almost 45,000km on it…. more I can’t remember what could be important…. what else could you get for it?? would be nice if you could help me….thanks in advance!!   • 30/30? It seems higher to me 🙁

    Hello! A few of you will certainly remember my stress with ATU (the topic was probably deleted here?!).. In short: the used 60/40 springs were probably too deep and the TÜV made terror, ATU lied to me and let me drive without registration, car was shut down, then 30/30 springs came in. Currently installed are Bilstein B6 Sport dampers and the Eibach Pro kit in 30/30. In addition, 15 inch rims with 195 45R15 ‘er rubbers are mounted. is now just over 4 months ago but I don’t think the car is much deeper than the series. Ohso, just ignores the bump in the door.. Since the side bars are gone it looks really ugly

  • Lupo GTi suspension

    Hello, have a new Lupo GTi since a week, but the chassis is too soft for me (too indirect when steering) – and it looks original totally shitty from the side (too high ) – therefore my question: what does it look like better – lower or larger rims – and then how much deeper or what for rims?

  • discreet facelift

    In the evening I own the Lupo with a 1.0 l engine in white and now I have to miss a simple facelift before the nn (hopefully ). So aluminum rims, put bit lower, K&N sport air filter, possibly sports exhaust and possibly front apron as well as snipers and side skirts. But I now have no one or other question and court the professionals here can answer me the so, sometimes to the rims, because I have no power steering, I want to know what there is of the maximum is what still ert The size of the rims and the width of the tires make a difference at all. Then I would still be interested like the one with the K&N sport air filter looks. Do you actually need a dam in the engine room that you get the entered? And how about if I want to make a sports exhaust system to it? So that should be, if at all possible, one that does NOT run in the middle very normal at the left side.   • Lupo, 37 kw: Question about engine & gearbox?

    Hello, I drove about 70-80 km today with my girlfriend’s 1-litre LUPO. I noticed the following things. Is it normal that the engine always sounds as turbine-like, almost like an electric motor? I mean, almost like a remote-controlled car? I also want to know if it’s normal to hear the gearbox. I mean now no snorting or hammering, but just such a quiet operating noise – actually no matter in which gears? So, I’m not yet I drove my other Lupo, which is why I can’t judge if this is so typical of Lupo. By the way, the corridors flood in 1st cream. I have more to fight with my Civic. Synthie

  • 4L Lupo – Shelf life

    Hello, I’ve already been looking, but I don’t really get conclusive from the previous contributions. Looking for a new car, so want to invest 6,000. For this I get a nice Astra year 2000 with less than 75,000. For about 7.500 you get a 3L Lupo, built in 2001 and run under 50,000. I find the car very horny, because of the whole technology in there (e.g. circuit). Since I want to assume that a TDI creates many KM (200,000) I would like to do that. Now I have read so much about the repairs and am not sure if the TDI would be a smart investment. See gear damage, gear changer, … How likely is such damage? Is the Quali really that bad? And do I always have to go to VW, a free workshop? Thanks for answers, I hope someone can help me here…

  • Driving behaviour & fuel consumption

    Hello all, so my mum bought a Lupo… is supposed to make 3 liters on 100^^ Well, the car is from 2002 (I think) and the smallest machine. Well, I thought I’d grab the car and see how it’s going… Suit = 0 I’m not used to much, but that was a disappointment. Despite that I pulled the gears much too high (i.e. the gears up to 4k) Didn’t even do this on purpose, but the lack of drive probably demanded my foot on s I’m not used to Ps, but that was just cruel… 🙁 The corner position was also to cry… But the car should not drive fast and pleasantly, but save fuel!! But how do you do that? I filled up the car and put it down to my mother. Her driving style is quite comfortable and early turning up has already gone over with her in flesh and blood… now we filled up… 6 liters to 100… what do you do? My question to you, how can the fuel economy be optimally exploited, so when should one switch, when in which gear? Do you have any tips? Dange for your answers 🙂 Oh yes, vehicle has no extras, all series, except for the funny folding roof, it drove around quite a lot with it open, can this lead to the high consumption?

  • Effortful start

    Have the following problem with my Lupo (Bj:99, 1.0, ALL): If I want to start the Lupo, this happens very cumbersomely, sometimes even after a few minutes of turning let the starter with gas. It happens to me that when I press the starter the car gives the (stand) gas only later. The engine does not come immediately but swallows something between starter and engine run. As I said, sometimes it does not work at all, because not immediately gas comes. Back then with my 1 or 2 Golf there was a cold start system – is there something like that in the Lupo too and could this be the problem? I hope you got me.

  • Tires and rims from the Internet?

    What are these tyre and rim shops doing on the Internet? Can you trust them and how is the quality so? What is noticeable in any case is that they are sometimes much cheaper than the tyre shops around the corner..
