Hello Together after now about 50000 self driven km with my Lupo 3l I had to find out unfortunately that my gear changer was leaking, so I bought the sealing set for 45euro at ebay. With the set is even an instruction for the expansion, however, one should already bring some technical understanding with it. In my opinion the weak point of the gear changer of the shaft sealing ring, at the bottom, which showed already clear wear symptoms with me. The WDR can be changed with some skill in a relatively short time itself and then there is no oil from so on and for itself a great thing, a new gear changer was not in question for me. Unfortunately I had to find afterwards that not the worn-out WDR is my problem, but the cover of the gear changer. The said lid shows a hair tear, which only becomes visible when the gear changer is actuated. I bought a leaky gear changer today at the scrap yard and will exchange the lid on the weekend. Defencten starter swap – position and position
Moin Genmeinschaft. I have a 9 year old VW Lupo year 09/2000 (which unfortunately goes into the press on 1.10) Unfortunately, half a year the starter is not working properly and it has now increased so far that I need 10 to 15 start attempts until the car finally starts. I have now got a used one from the scrap yard for 50€. Can one of you tell me tech. gifted (best with picture) where the starter is in the engine room? Sonnst mit Autos ihnlich nicht am hatt nörfahren. But I am working for more than 20 years in the maschinenbau and think it will be no problem to delete the 3 screws and remove the power cable. Lupo 3L does NOT start the second time
Dear 3L-companies, my Lupo thinks of a new mess every year to rob me of the very last nerve. This year the scoundrel has thought up something particularly perfidious: If he stands overnight he can start without any problems in the morning. If the engine is switched off shortly afterwards (e.g. to close a gate), he gives himself no more mucks at the next start. The only “return” in a failed attempt to start is the extinguishing of the headlights. Don’t know if they go out completely or just glimmer. Is that normal? The battery is already exchanged for a nail-new, fully charged AGM with 80 Ah. Didn’t bring anything. The hat nut from the mass connection to the body could have been screwed off by hand, they have pulled neatly, did not bring anything either. The Macke existed for 3 weeks and was perfectly reproducible – first time does not go. Today I brought the Lupo to the workshop, the master called after a few hours and he told him that it was easy to start a few times after each other.

Lupo 3L relay hydraulic pump

ABS hydraulic pump

Original electrical window lifter retrofitting
Hello, I know the question came already, but I couldn’t find any useful answers by searching. A friend of mine has a Lup0 1.0 BJ 98 and she would like to have el. window lifter and ZV. (With the ZV a cheap one from Ebay I have already installed 3 times there were never problems.) If one of you has a complete list of the required parts and possibly a small installation line or a few helpful tips. I would like to hear the tip for the installation to the dealer. With VW’s I had unfortunately not yet much to do, because I usually only write to older Audis. Heber I have already retrofitted what is relatively easy there, but I have heard with VW models of new year of construction it can quickly come to bad surprises, because they are so built that you should not and can do as much as possible. 🙁 So I am grateful for every tip. mfg Tim Tim

VW Lupo constantly causes problems, workshop finds nothing
Hello, I’m new here in the forum, but I’ve read several times about certain topics. Now to my problem, for 1 year my Lupo has been having problems. Feels something different every month. Had to buy and mount new tires 3 months ago, because they had left after 5-6 months, now they are almost back again. Track and fall was set, was made on the day where the new tires were on it. Then it was always in front, listened like metal on metal, I found again in the workshop, nothing, except that the brake had to be made in front of it (still relatively new), heat sheet was welded. There is nothing more rattled. 2 days later it started again. Loud noises from the front when driving backwards or steering. Now I have the feeling that the brake is no longer pulling properly. The workshop last looked at this two weeks ago little car, with trial drive, with workshop master, it finds germ problem, but it also hears these sounds, it can not be arranged. I really with my Latin at the end, I have not put up here for a lot of thanks now for your money.

Lupo 3L – Tank Reserve Volume
Hello Lupo driver, after which I drove my 3l without problems now one year (25tKM) the following happened to me. The tank reserve lamp started to light up, no problem I thought, in my golf it was so that one could still drive 70km with light, but thought:P, in the boardbook a reserve with a volume of 6l is indicated, so according to my bill about 150km with light. So I put the car after 18km, since the light up the reserve lamp, at my home. When the next morning at 5:30 am in 2km disparagement from home the engine failed the service I thought “I am standing in the forest” which in the warmest sense of the word also happened.
