  • How is this accident damage to the Lupo to be assessed, does it still come through the TÜV or no longer?

    Hello, I am just being followed by bad bad luck, one worse than the other. Today it was an accident with the old Lupo. Against the guardrail and striped. Police reported. Now I have questions to damage. Here photos. At the rear body it has torn in next to the driver door at the height of the door lock directly at the edge a hole, about 3.5 high x about 2cmbreit , which looks as if the sheet has rolled up there, because the torn up part still hangs on it. Then the driver door is pressed exactly at the place where the door hinge is. that means the door can still be opened, but creaks and creaks incredibly loudly and thereby jumps up and down a bit. I now use the front passenger door to get in and out. Then further dents and strong aprons/cratzers. A friend said that the car thus no longer comes through the next TÜV. Here the photos:

  • 1.2TDI 3L Conversion to manual manual manual circuit – Video

    Now that the Lupo is running reliably for a few weeks, I have documented the conversion on one hand and put it into the net as a video. A few detailed solutions are somewhat different from the previous modifications, of which I have read. Maybe it is interesting for one or the other (reversing production, counter holder, clutch cable adapter, additional springs on the switching backdrop for the clear neutral position, other SW after the first variant only worked conditionally etc.). Anyway, the result is good, also I have no vibrations on the switch lever. The rear position of the clutch rope has extended about 1.5 – 2cm and thus still has space (coupling new).   • Valve lid, how much tightening torque?

    Hello, When I last made the oil change (at 130’000 km), I noticed that the 3rd candle was half covered with oil and the 4th complete. I guess now it’s due to the valve cover seal. Isn’t there a big thing to change, but how strong do I have to tighten the screws afterwards? Does someone have a table with the values in Nm? And if I’m right there, what does the heated ventilation for the crankcase look like? I guess that’s not in it… although there’s a heater in it, but would still be better if the defoliation was in it… Thank you

  • Vw Lupo 3l Automatic

    Hello friends.. I got a Lupo a few days ago. Suddenly it makes me problem. 5speed.as soon as it changes to 5 it does not accept any gas, must always restart. Error message G38 gear speed implausible signal sporadic. I was told that the gearbox renewed the basic setting execution needed. Vcds I have, unfortunately I lack the instructions to perform this.

  • Help I’m finished with my Latin

    We have a problem with our VW Lupo and are at the end with our Latin. The following problem has been at the vehicle for about 1 year. If you drive short distance (so 5-10 kilometers) the car starts. If you track about 20 kilometers the car says no more mucks, as if the battery was empty. If you break it, it also starts, push it also works. The next day or a few hours later the car starts again. The following parts have already been replaced: Battery : 3 x alternator 2 x fuses have been checked, at the last check the alternator was measured with an oszylogrape (or how the thing is called ). Here it turned out that the alternator has a phase error and was replaced again, only the problem is still present. Here my vehicle data : VW Lupo : 1.0 MPI – 50 HP engine code : AUC Year of construction : 2001 Running power : approx. 170000 km I hope you have some advice for me what can still be done.   • Singing/pipe sound at 80 km/h

    Hello, have been for a while a singing / whistling noise that occurs at 80km/h and stops about 2min, then suddenly is gone again! Some say it’s the ventilation, because you hear it loudest there, but I don’t think so! And I don’t want to be happy with the workshop either, some use such a thing shamelessly and change anything else. Who can help, already thanks in advance!!! Greet Chris

  • Lenkwinkesensor Lupo 3L

    Does anyone have an exact guide(for VCDS) for zero adjustment of the steering angle sensor? Had only one problem with the servo steering before. Error : 00570 – Power Steering Motor Relay (J509) 35-10 – – – Intermittent After troubleshooting/disassembly and cleaning of the sensor directly behind the steering wheel, it provided no more angle values. Explanation: Didn’t know previously that the servo has its own angler!!! Error now: 00778 – Steering Angle Sensor (G85) 62-00 – No or Incorrect Adjustment 00778 – Steering Angle Sensor (G85) 37-00 – Faulty Which group has to be selected in the basic adjustment function, so that the alignment is done and what has to be done? The software-free variant (Lenkrad left, right, straight) I have already tried, is not possible! Yellow marking (view window above steering wheel) is in center position above, so ok!

  • Tank LUPO 1.4 TDI

    Hello everybody, my sister bought a VW LUPO 1.4 TDI. Today she showed me the car and in the trunk I discovered a funny tank, she said she didn’t see it, because the rear seats were folded and the summer tires were there. Now I wanted to put the summer tires on it and notice this funny tank. (my sister hasn’t filled up yet) Can someone tell me what it is (see pictures) and if I should fill up there?   • Bad radio reception

    Hello, with our Lupo the radio reception is more than modest. However, the original antenna is a foreign radio (Poineer DEH-P5600MP) installed. Now I want to replace the roof antenna with a new one (Shark RAKU2). Has someone already developed the antenna and can possibly tell me how high the effort is. Thanks already.

  • VW Lupo 3L Eco Mode not possible. Ask for help

    Hello engine talk community, I have a problem with my 3L Lupo Bj: 09/1999. I have the suspicion that the Eco mode only accesses the transmission control unit and not the engine control unit. Symtoms like Follows with Eco mode -It switches at low speeds into the next gear -When driving when the accelerator pedal is released the car goes in idle mode and when the accelerator pedal is activated the car lights up again – Green Eco lamp in the cockpit. -Wagen has Start Stop function at the traffic light at longer thru the brake of 4 seconds and again start at release of the brake These Sysmtoms are normal. Now the real problem -No power reduction in Eco mode -Whether Eco or not Eco always equal power -Consumption always remains the same -The consumption I never got below 3.6 liters at very eighth driving mode on the highway with approx. 100 km/h without city traffic -V- Max is according to Tacho and with a very long start This is not the same for me.
