  • 1.4 TDI engine start problems

    Hello together, I hope to find help on the way. The Seat Forum is not so active. It is about a Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI Bj 2003 with 230,000 KM on the clock. At the vehicle was retrofitted by the previous owner DPF, so has the green plaque.We bought the car with 100,000 KM. The car is used by my father, he drives every morning to work with it, one way 34 km. Car has always been driven warm and in warm condition it gets from time to time. Since about 10,000 a problem often arises: As soon as the car comes to 70 degrees or more and you turn off the engine, the engine can only be started after several attempts. It also happens from time to time, but it has started after a few seconds. If the temperature falls below 65-70 degrees the car starts without problems. Computer has been completed, but error memory is empty. Has any of you had the same problems? Thank you in advance Greet Maier

  • Interior cladding of the car door loosely, how can you fix it again?

    Good day, a short time ago I bought an old VW Lupo. Now I noticed that the interior cladding of the driver’s door loosened up on one side and a piece stands off. Before that it was stuck there with some white glue. This had dissolved. I removed the rest. I then tried to glue the part with hot glue, but also this held just 1 day. Does anyone know how (with which material) it can be glued on, so it holds for sure?

    Hello, who can give me a tip on what it can lie down that my lupo as goes out. at abrupt gas give or take away first the check light lights up, then the EPC lamp and then it goes out and only when several starts he jumps back on and the lamps are off. this is every day and it has been a part wexed but it is still as always

    Technical Data: Lupo 1.4 75 PS Gasoline 07/1999 (no automatic) +Servo +Klima Hello Community, I experienced yesterday evening what no one wants to experience! The kerb belt is torn because the EPC lamp sporadically turned on and there was a grinding rattled noise at the front right I already ordered a tension roller and also belts on Friday because I already knew what would happen. Well, yesterday was shopping and it is torn I need help with the following questions: 1.) Does someone have a technical drawing like the belt to put in? 2.) Does anyone have tips that will make it easier for me to install the new belt on Monday/Tuesday? 3.) Is there something I just think of as the Lupo Fachman? Use this and I trust everything to do! I just want to get a preliminary information for tip’s and advices that I have easy to check on whether there are handles that make the use easier etc. Otherwise I will have to say that the Lupo is a great snippet and I would like to bring it to a bit of fun.

  • 1.2TDI 3L, engine start only on N not on STOP

    Hello, I know there are many threads on the topic, but I found nothing suitable. Many threads are unfortunately left without an answer. I have the following problem. Lupo got a new clutch with bearing etc. and new guide sleeve. Before the expansion, the start on stop worked. I also resealed the gear changer during the clutch exchange. So far so well, the first basic setting showed RTFM 12. the 2nd ran through without problems, after I at ADJUST the nut of the switchbar briefly loosened and pulled again. The car also runs normal, everything is as always only no start on STOP possible. Hydraulic oil level adjusts the door contact switch function iO clutch value adjusted. Everything tries between 1,8 and 2,0V+ What happens when I switch off from R to stop the engine goes off, but the backlights remain on. Even after the ignition was off and I turn it on again light the backlights, the return gear is also inserted but the car rolls naturally because the clutch separates itself. Can anyone think of a tip?

  • Lupo 195 45 R15 tire?

    Evening, I wanted to put on new tyres and rims and would have asked a question.. In the vehicle papers stands 175 65 R13 and would like to upgrade to 195 45 R15 The car is original from springs etc.. Would the tires 195 45 R15 fit? And would I have to have the car presented afterwards, if so what costs me about? Thank you in advance !

  • Lupo AUD 1.4 60 PS MPI – Problem

    Hello municipality, I am a proud owner of a Lupo 1.4 GT :-)! I changed the clutch and the gearbox about 1 week ago, because the gearbox broke. I removed the throttle flap, as well as the wiring to get the transmission out better. The installation worked perfectly, also connected the plugs (which can not be connected almost wrongly.). Now I wanted to start it and have the following problem. The engine goes on, turns up to 2500 after starting up, and goes out directly again. It runs about 1-2 seconds. I have to mention the following parts have already been renewed at the Lupo. – Ignition coil – Ignition cord – Ignition plugs – throttle flap cleaned and re-learned I am convinced that the wiring or the cable tree was also properly connected. The vehicle was also read out, and no error shows. I have the feeling that the vehicle has lost the coding of the keys. However, the WFS doesn’t glow, or Blinks also not. The battery was stuck about 2-3 weeks ago. I hope you can help me.

  • How do I check the fan motor for coolant and air conditioning?

    The mechanical air conditioning system is not working (LUPO 3L from 2001). A switching condition is a running fan. However, it does not. The fan control unit has been replaced 3 years ago., the Lupo was deregistered 2 years ago. A 30A fuse on the fuse carrier (SA 4) was melted, a new one I used, but neither burns through, nor did it have an effect. In order to exclude the fan as a cause, I gave 14 V directly to the plug via an external power source(d However, it delivers a maximum of 2.5 A at 14 V). In the case of contact 1 (mass) and 3, the fan does not run, in the case of contact 1 and 2. However, since I do not know if this is really a separate circuit the question is: can I check it as I did it, or is it possible to do it differently? My diagnosis so far is that one stage of the fan is defective and therefore I need a new one. These are available in the form oval (most expensive variant 34 €) or form flat (a few euros more). I just take the oval shape? Do you have to solve the coolant hoses in order to expand the fan, because there is very little space there or can you get that even without draining the coolant? Many questions, but I haven’t found anything in the Lupo Forum yet.

  • Lupo (6X): Total damage due to leaking servo line?, year 2002

    Hello screwdriver, I just don’t want to believe what the (free) workshop announced to me: My Lupo is a total damage, because at an inaccessible point the pressure line of the (mechanical) power steering is rusted and leaked! Before I make myself (as a long time no longer used) to screw it, which method / manual can you recommend to me for the work? In the TEC publishing house you can order VW-substances (‘ suspension, axles, steering’ for approx. 25,-€, or enough a 1-hour Flat rate for 7,-€ at ‘erWin’ to find a good guide? Can you get the steering gear out of the rusted screws; it is too risky for me to screw on the inaccessible pressure cord nipples: they will stop anyway. Thanks for every tip

  • Engine recommendation LUPO

    Hello, As the title already says, I would like to have your opinions on the engines that are/were offered in the Lupo. In terms of reliability. Of course, there is probably no clear answer. But for example which engines should be avoided would be helpful. Consumption, power, diesel/petrol all the same. it should not necessarily be the Lupo gti, even if it is very reliable. But price is too high, especially since that would be too much power for the lady. Nke and mfG!
