Hello together! I’m looking for a tire/felt combination for my Lupo (HSN/TSN: 0603/450). I’m not satisfied with the original rims, I find the Lupo understeered with it easily and has little grip. No changes were made on the car otherwise. I found a list of the possible tire sizes here, but I don’t really know the topic, I can’t do much with it. What size can you recommend? I’d rather if there were suitable tires from more well-known manufacturers than Nankang and I could get along without pulling, blazing or tachoan alignment. It can also be a steel rim, it’s just about the functionality.

Engine control light about every 60 km to “Delete’”
Hello dear Lupo – connoisseurs. I’ve had the problem for a few days that my motor control light suddenly lights up. Unusual changes, already long before, were unusually high speeds at warm- just like at cold start, which have normalized after about 30 seconds. ( ca. 2000 rpm. ) Sporadic. I could and can delete the lamp by disconnecting the battery, 5 minutes waiting time and again clamping. After about 60 km the whole thing repeated itself, and now it lights up again after about 60 km. My workshop appointment is only next Friday to read out the fault memory. But maybe you already have ideas, which according to the special behaviors of the lamp could be. Simple deletion – Let the lamp by disconnecting the battery, sporadic turning up the engine at start…… Greeting Jörch

Lupo GTI air conditioning problem
Good evening, dear community! I drive a Lupo GTI from 2001. I took over this with defective air conditioning. It was due to the contrast medium to see that a line was broken. I renewed it. Of course I previously sucked off the refrigerant. I filled the system with expectations again with 750g, because I installed a sand compressor. I started the car, pressed the AC button, the compressor also switches, noticeably, but the cooling power stays out. The device again plugged in, run and observe the pressures. It is noticeable that the pressure is not constant, but fluctuates on the high and low pressure side between 7,9-8,3 bar. The pointers fail. Not very much, but I think this is not normal. I also evacuated the system before the filling. Do you have tips on what I can do? On suspicion of changing the compressor? A KFZ electrician told me that the compressor can switch off, but that the power of the compressor is not normal. I also evacuated the system before the filling.

Expert 3L TDI wanted for gearbox basic setting.
Hello together, find someone who knows the 3l in a bit more detail. The car got the previous owner still at about 240 tkm new clutch, bought by me with about 260tkm, currently I have arrived at 293tkm and everything runs as it should. Drive with 10tkm intervals the 0W-30 M1 oil, transmission oil and fuel filter I changed after the purchase, with fed also the 2TÖ. However, 2 days ago I drove an A2 3l Tdi probe and this switched noticeably softer and coupled when driving to the traffic light cleaner on and off. So I think that a gearbox basic setting with my 3l TDI would certainly provide a remedy here. Search someone from the range 65428-56348 (could also go on the WE towards Dortmund), which I could look at my first time over the shoulder at the basic setting.

VW Lupo 1.0 Radio problems
Moin! I changed the radio in my old Lupo. An older JVC model for one with USB port and Bluetooth. Old out, cable pulled off, new cables ran, radio plugged in, everything worked well. The radio worked, everything was good. Then I thought that some VW switched the ignition and continuous pulses. So I got out key out, key back in. And I was right to put radio back in factory settings. So radio re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-

Lupo walks in the warm condition
Hello dear Lupo municipality, we bought a VW Lupo 1.4 MPI 60hp as a second car in early November. The Lupo ran 74500 km and according to the previous owner it was renewed at 70000km of the timing belt + water pump. Unfortunately, the Lupo started to cause problems about 2 weeks after the purchase. I have read through with these problems already in some forums and also a few things renewed. The following problems occur: Restless idle (500U/min) with warm engine (in cold engine quiet idle (800-900U/min). When consumers are switched on the speed decreases further. Motor goes off and off in idle run. The water temperature indicator comes down and does not remain at 90 degrees. It commutes depending on the driving wind between 70-80 degrees. Heating works perfectly. Consumption is about 9 liters/100km What I have renewed : ignition plugs + ignition cable + ignition divider throttle cleaned + base position at VW made oil change + filter There is nothing stored in the error memory (have a small reader for the error) My guess is defective?

Code ABS ECU
Hello, my Lupo (type AYZ) has meanwhile 372,000 km down and after lighting up the ABS and brake warning lamp and repeated beeping has set the driving readiness. Since I have access to a megamacs42 engine tester, I was able to find out that the ABS control unit (6E0907379B) was defective. Fortunately I also had a part available and installed it. The Lupo runs again great, but now the ESP lamp lights up consistently. As error code I get with ABS: Error code 778 steering angle sensor function incorrect and with motor: Error code 18057 CAN bus drive Communication with ABS control unit missing My research has shown that after replacing the ABS control unit a zero balance of the steering angle sensor has to take place. This is not so wild, but before, as far as I can see this at the moment, still the control unit must be coded. Unfortunately, I found no instructions for this. My question is: has someone done this and can describe how it goes?

Lupo errors P0301 and P0404
Good morning, I bought a cheap VW Lupo AUC 1.0 for my son. Running power 145000 Year 2001 I have a few questions about this, and hope for help here in the forum. I write under the errors times my further procedure, should someone have improvement here, I am grateful for every tip. Error 1 Engine control light flashes in the stationary gas engine runs restlessly No performance when acceleration error read out P0301 Further procedure spark plugs, as well as ignition control kit renew. Throttle valve was provided with cokes, this I have upgraded and completely cleaned. Error 2 The seller told me that half a year ago the AGR was exchanged. This was done by a Free Workshop. AGR also looks new. Despite all the driving the motor control light permanently illuminates. Error P0404 Further procedure here I am honestly quite standing at a new AGR on the hose. Can the error P0404 AGR from the first error be caused by false exhaust emissions values?

Works for Lupo 3L conversion
Hello together, someone here from the forum knows a workshop in NRW, which can make the conversion of a 3l Lupos? To be converted, the circuit, i.e. from hydraulic to manual. I am also unsure if the effort is worth it. I got a 3L Lupo with 327,000 Km, which needs the gearbox basic adjustment every 4-6 weeks. I can now not say why this is so and the workshops actually have no explanation for this, but before I enter the path of suffering with a new Gansteller, hydraulic tank etc., I could just have the conversion done and then would have some rest. How high would the costs for a conversion in a workshop be? What total running performance can be expected? Is there anyone who could reach more than 400,000 Km with a Lupo 3L? I would like to thank you now for every assessment/answer.

3L Tdi transmission.. 5th gear
Servus, I’ve already read some gear entries here to get to know what’s going on with my car. However, I haven’t discovered anything like this yet. The following situation: My 3L ran perfectly when it gave me the automatic insertion of the 5th gear in the Eco mode a violent jerking and “beat”, the gear went in idle mode by itself and then reacted to nothing. Only after switching off the engine and ignition, switching levers on stop and start again – but when the 5th is again reached the game starts again from the beginning. I have since only run in manual mode, and switch only up to the 4th. Consumption is at about 4,5L, and that at 90km of road and in average 110km/h. In addition, the reverse gear tends to jump frequently into the idle course, and quite rarely the gear can be read the 4th gear also and switches independently – under no consideration of the driven speed – already down to the 3rd. Now I was told “Galebre” to let off the gear wheel” due to the 5th wheel of the clutch.
