  • Cheap car for work – offer ok/usable?

    Moin. I am looking for a cheap car, which should only be used for the work path. The car should drive “only” and be reliable. optics is secondary. I have now been offered a Lupo 1.4 by someone from the neighboring village. As far as the basic data: Bj 2005, approx. 170.000km, 2.hd, no extra equipment. Inside and outside quite well maintained, needs a preparation, but the basic substance is very good and much better what else can be found in classified ads etc.. n places on the fenders are still possible. The car currently has no TÜV, because the front axle carrier is rusted through. All other TÜV defects are small things like dipped light defective, windscreen wiper worn. So nothing worth mentioning. Changing the axle carrier in itself is no problem. Have done more difficult things with other vehicles. The question is, since I had not dealt with Lupo’s further, whether one can buy such a car and usually the engines are also reliable or something special has to be taken into account. Oh yes, the car is currently called with 450.-€. Think a little bit of room for manoeuvre is still in there. As I said, a pure “working vehicle” should be, which brings me cheap and reliable from A to B. In stock for the next 2 years or until the next TÜV. Can one strike without hesitation or rather not? Alternatively, I had found a Lupo 1.7SDI for 800.-€. with approx. 9 months leftover, but already about 400,000km. Optical condition as far as comparable to the 1.4, but about 3 years older and keeping the high mileage. Have something to consider, that then soon something “larger” could be expected.

  • Lupo 1.0 runs round and goes out when it’s cold

    Hello, I bought a Lupo 1.0 from 2004 a few days ago (Motor AUC) This was also normal at the beginning, but when I started it 2 days ago, it ran in idle after about 10 seconds and then went out after about 30 seconds. If you start the engine again, until it gets a bit warm, the problem also resolves and it runs quite normal as if nothing had been done. So the problem only occurs, so to speak, when it is cold. Do you have an idea, wo s the problem could be? Have already ordered new spark plugs & also ignition cable plugs since a plug is oxidized (see video) These should arrive in a few days. But you should notice directly that it can’t be because of it, I would be very grateful, then I could solve it faster.   • New rear silencer / series or Sebring/ Remus

    So, this is now my last attempt!!! Now not only eats broken but finally off, what? Well, the rear silencer, the Lüpo sounds really good now, but that doesn’t have to be done with long rides. However, since I want to refrain from clapping a serial shot again, I would like to ask you what you can recommend to me. I actually thought about a pretty Sebring or Remus or something equivalent in the price range of 150 to 300 Euros. Wi e is actually with the assembly, the rest of the pipe has to be shortened. These are three markings, which one it may be? Will not do according to the motto “three times cut, and still too short”. Would be nice if one of you had some suggestions. So then liepo

    …in the tuning area, but have almost no idea of the matter. But I am good things that you can help me a little bit, please… So the only thing I’ve modified so far on my Lupo 1.4 are the rear lights So and next I would like to get a little closer to the Earth *g* say lower! Ok, so far so good, what do you have to pay attention to when buying? Bzw. where do I even start? Completely new chassis? How deep can/should you go? What about the different groups? Which is the best and why? And since I have no idea at all, I don’t want to install the whole thing myself *g* but instead order a workshop with it. How expensive can a lowering or an exhaust change be, for example? Does every workshop do that at all? I know, questions about questions… But would I really be happy if I had to have the egg. n or others could answer it so that I don’t have to stand there so stupidly and maybe still get knocked over my ears.   • Lupo hopefully nicth dead!

    Yesterday my mother-in-law called me completely dissolving and told me that she was standing in Ludwigshafen and it was steaming out of the engine of LUPO 1.0, EZ 12/1999 with currently 125,000 KM. I immediately packed tool case and 4 bottles of water. In fact, the balance tank was totally empty and everything under it was wet. All hoses were tight. I filled water and started the engine. The engine was warm and the liquid level in the balance tank rose continuously. Seeing from the cooler to the engine was warm, the lower cold. Since there was no workshop open yesterday, I thought I was trying to bring the car somehow to my local Bosch workshop about 10 KM away. After about 2 KM ride the temperature rises to 100 degrees. I drove out to the right (motorway) and let the car cool down. Then I tried again, but managed only 1.5 KM until the next exit. There I finished the game. From the balance tank it steamed, the cooling temperature indicator I called the ADAC, which then dragged the car to my Bosch service after 1 hour of waiting. There it is now and I am waiting for the diagnosis of the workshop. I tap on defective thermosstat, which did not open the large cooling circuit and or water pump. I do not hope that the cylinder head gasket has burned through or anything else has gone wrong. That would be a total damage.

  • Lupo 3L does not start

    Hello I have bought a Lupo 3L bj.2000 as a second vehicle. Km stand : 220tkm According to the previous owner complete mechanics of the transmission new. In the engine compartment is also to be seen that the tub is new. Now to my problem: I turned off the car and forgot the radio on. After about 3 hours again ignition on made no murks. No organ nothing at all. Starter has tension, light machine is also in order. My workshop tells me he would not have much idea about it but would look at the Type the gear control unit. What went very short for about 1 second that he has nailed that happened 2 times. I come from Salzgitter and would be happy to help you with any kind of help.

  • Rugging, ringing Lupo 99er ALL 1.0

    Hello everybody, I’m addressing you because I can’t rhyme myself anymore on the situation: the following problem, I bought a Lupo for myself or my daughter, this one ran from the first day on, until not at all. At times even only on 3 paws. I’m not exactly untalented about the screw, but this part brings me to my limits. I have replaced the following parts, ignition cables, spark plugs, air filters, throttle valve (fishing with VAG Com, previous Drosselkla All this didn’t really change. Then I noticed that the engine runs round as soon as I put a splash of brake cleaner into the throttle flap. It then turns beautifully, without a drop-out…..I then checked the fuel line and replaced the injection nozzles. These were also no longer in a good condition, so purely optically, if you understand what I mean (brown started.. ) A change was to be noted, but not yet a really round thing. A pull off of the G62 sensor showed that the speed went up, so it was replaced. No real change. In short, I need your help. In the error memory nothing is stored. So I can’t get any further. This may ring from a poorly set ignition. But I don’t even come to the Bosch service to have it set. I thank you for this. b for your time and support. Greeting Jürgen

  • 1.2TDI 3L enters emergency program immediately

    Hello municipality, New clutch has been installed with a Vw lupo 3l. Since the exchange the car drives on, but when changing into the second gear the vehicle immediately goes into the emergency run program and no longer takes on gas. Could it help to adjust the base? Or could it lie somewhere else? Ps: already the second 3L vehicle from a nice lady who absolutely wanted to have one with less km 55tkm than the predecessor 275tkm. So she thought that problems with less kilometers simply could be solved. hwinden I hope there are Vllt some helpful posts. Thank you very much for participating

  • 1.0 MPI (BJ. 2002) stutters since AGR valve change

    Moin. I was at VW and had it told me that the potentiometer of the AGR valve was over. So new ordered and built in. Since then the lupo has been mucking at lower speeds (under 2000). I had similar jerking (as if he wanted to accept the gasoline, but always swallows itself) , already once – here was the cleaning of the throttle valve recommended to me and voila, that was the solution. This time the throttle valve is however clean and the problem exactly when I changed the AGR valve. The valve is not original, but from a spare parts supplier. Does any of you have an idea ?
