  • Black brake pads in the new passat

    On Friday I picked up my brand-new VW Passat Variant V6 4Motion TDI. When I wanted to show it to my colleagues yesterday, they didn’t believe it was new to me unless there was so much BLACKER brake dust from the blocks on the aluminium rims that it looked like after 20,000 km.     I drive a Passat Kombi 35i Bj. 1988 – unfortunately have the problem that he loses large quantities of cooling water at longer intervals. Result: Temperature indicator rises to 110 degrees, warning light flashes and I have to refill. I do this two to three times and then the whole thing commutes again. The workshop has not been able to detect a leak in the cooling water system and could not give me any explanation for it otherwise. In winter it is particularly unpleasant, because of course the heating also g I am not sure, but I have the feeling that the loss of water begins especially when rain starts.   • VW Passat TDI Start problems

    When I take my Passat TDI 90 hp overnight, it doesn’t start in the morning. I have to “org” the car forever or tow it over more than a hundred meters until it is warm.     Hi since my Corsa was driven flat last week, I want to buy now a new one. have thought about nen passat.     hope I’m looking right, because I don’t know which model it is exactly it’s a Passat Combi BJ 97 we have volgendes problem. the engine just goes off, not only at the traffic light but also at full speed we have changed everything from LMM to petrol pump, the error reader also shows no fault.   • Buying from Passat Gasoline or Diesel?

    Hello VW ́ler, I decided to buy a Passat Variant again after I have had enough of the course in my golf convertible. Is a very good car of the golf but for me simply too small. That’s why I mourn my 35i very much. But now it should be something more modern, thought of the newer model (I believe from 8/97???). Now I ask myself the question if a diesel with my driving performance of approx. 15000km/year is calculated. I am at the very best between the engines 101PS petrol, 90PS or 110PS diesel. I think the 101PS would certainly be sufficient but what about the engine’s pull-through and the consumption and what exactly does it fills up? Petrol, Super or Super Plus??? 90 Diesel PS are certainly a little weak on the chest, please tell me your experiences with the engine and the consumption. Then the 110PS diesel, also here the question about the pull-through and consumption. I would be very happy if you would give me my decision g could help a little.
