Hello, I’m writing to the Passat Forum because I’ve experienced something really strange today. A new passat (newest model) drives in front of me in Berlin and once on the whole roof sparks and electric tracks (explosion-like). It looked like the whole roof was under high tension for a second. I can’t explain such a phenomenon to myself. Especially not since at least 5 other vehicles have driven before the passat, where nothing happened. At first I thought it was an accident that hit something, but there was nothing to see about the passat, which then ran right. I was curious if someone had an explanation for it. Hello, my friend and I will soon be handed over a Passat TDI, it is the penultimate model Bj cirka 2000. However, this one is unfortunately equipped. It’s probably a bit preoccupied to expect an experience report here, but what are the expectations? I have to get a Passat Variant half- or full-year car before me. Since the change from the 150 hp V6 TDI to commonrail technology was made, I’m not quite sure with the motorization. Euro 4 have all of them now, right? What about the consumption and performance data (feaky and subjective)? Hello, unfortunately I had to find out on Monday morning that my 93 Passat TD was broken up and the radio was stolen. Apparently NO violence was used. So no lock or the door destroyed. The Kripo meant the VW Passat would like to be broken up because this is especially easy and without violence. Now my question: Is this really true? Is the Pasat really so easy to open?? Or were there more professionals at work? I would be very happy about numerous experiences. Thank you. Merlin5001

Hello together, drive a Passat Variant TDI 96 KW with Tiptronik, year 07/02. 1. If I drive on the highway relatively constant so 120/130 things, then slow down and give again gas often (not always) a more or less violent jerk, with the petrol engine I would say feels like ignition dropouts. Error memory has already been read, the VAG boys find nothing. Is not safety relevant, but annoying. 2. The gearbox has a relatively great game between thrust and pull-belass I’m going off the gas and I’m going to give it back to you right, as there’s a small blow in the gearbox. Listening strongly at the stop ang Go traffic. Axle waves are play-free. Even when the car is parked in position “P”, it rolls away 5 cm if necessary. I have a Passat TDI and since the ASU I have a clinker on the exhaust or cat. For about 2 weeks the problem is that the engine no longer delivers power (motorway). The diesel consumption is very low about 5 liters. What can I do?

Hi I have an older passat, model Arriva year 93. I would like to install new boxes because the old ones with my new cd-player are hopelessly overwhelmed and start to crack. I will install new boxes in the demanding doors which actually does not pose a problem. However, I go completely in the dark, where I find suitable and especially suitable boxes for the amature board. However, all my research has not yet produced any results.
