Hello dear Phaeton driver, I have been reading for a while about all the problems (or problems) that some P-owners have with their vehicle. I am one of the, perhaps few, that are only satisfied with the car. I would be interested to know who has no (or almost no) problems with his Phaeton. I think, if only always about problems is polemized, maybe also with the hint that such a thing with such a car can not be and that the M’s and B’s and A’s don’t have such problems. that won’t do justice to this great car. So here’s a positive theme: who’s satisfied with his P. I have a V6.2 petrol engine, BJ 2004, 4-seater with full equipment and today 70,000 km. ACC and Front Assist
Hello forum, also at the risk that there will be a lot of questions … 😉 In Phaeton there is the ACC with Front Assist. Unfortunately, nobody can tell me if there is ACC without Front Assist. Why my question? Sometimes in the used car ads only “ACC” and sometimes “ACC with Front Assist”. Unfortunately, the friendly ones, where only “ACC” stands, could not tell me if then also Front Assist is there. Maybe someone can help me here? Then of course I would be interested, What is the difference? There are different generations of ACC. Which generation of ACC were installed in GP1 and which ones in GP2? Or were the generations installed independently of GP1 and GP2? Here, too, the friendly ones leave me … And finally, the master question: From which generation of the ACC or GP do I have a stop and start automatic with the ACC? Specifically: highway with 150th front traffic jam. Keyless only defective on the driver’s side
Hello forum, the keyless on the driver’s side has been ticking for a few weeks at my Phaeton. In rare cases it suddenly works again and then not again. Since I bought the vehicle has never worked the “locking” with which I could live well. Even now I could live with it if it doesn’t work at all at all but I find it funny that it doesn’t work at all on the driver’s side in front and back. . Xenon burner or ballast?
Hi municipality, on time on vacation again a problem. On the right there is no dipped light anymore and I wonder if it is the xenon burner or the ballast. With the read out error message which indicates rather the burner or what do you mean? A few months ago I had sporadically the problem that fell out with potholes short of the burner and then turned on normally again and continued to shine. Now it is however dark and also remains out. Brenner. Can you recommend me a link which I have to install in the 2008er (small facelift)? A defective burner shows itself almost always by color change or? With me that was not the case. No purple discoloration or something. Thank you Tom

Mount Tablet on Dashboard?
Hello, because of the stone age navigation and the lack of Aux inputs, no Bluetooth music streaming etc. at the ZAB, I looked around for a Skoda or golf with current Discover Media. When a VW dealer then gave me the payment price for my Phaeton (BJ 2007, 180tkm, almost full) of say and write 3500 Euro I now before the Phaeton to drive, let me have an Aux entrance retrofitted and then an 8 inch Samsung Tab S2 on the Armaturenb If you put the tablet directly on the front edge above the analog clock, you wouldn’t even have the view through the windshield restricted. I thought I’d have a matching metal angle made and screw it into the dashboard. Then a Brodit device holder screwed and finished. Has someone realized something similar before, or a better idea? Ciao – Happy birthday
After 2 Phaetons, 2 years V6TDI and 9 years W12, for me the end of this phase is reached. In particular the first years were impressive. After about 15 years in this forum I experienced practically all 6 phases up close (see https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…one-contribution-to-1-4-t1776472.html?…) One of my highlights was the joint visit of the glass factory with other forum members and the production of the last Phaeton (still have the ‘forbidden’ ‘ Photo with the wreath on the bonnet) wishes the remaining Phaeton lovers continued much joy and above all a good spare parts supply!

DPF regeneration from when?
Hello, first of all I post my DPF values: Are there any clues or precise values from which load mass value (counts or measured?) and which differential pressure a regeneration is started? The background is that I want to avoid broken regenerations, since the Phaeton does not have a DPF lamp that would indicate active regeneration. Whatever I notice, the measured load mass value has fallen, although not regenerated. (OK or spinn.) t da ein Sensor?) Furthermore, I notice that the differential pressure offset from 3.9 mbar has jumped up to 7.8 mbar at once (OK or not?) An entry “involvement load management” – would that prevent the active regeneration of the DPF? (I think no, because in the measuring value block xx of the motor control unit there is no regeneration lock set.) Thank you.

Reargate does not open
Hello guys. I have a massive problem with my VW Phaeton 3D 2004 BJ 3.0 TDI. The tailgate does not open. Neither by pressing the sensors on the VW logo, nor by radio or interior button. Only by manual opening by key. By reading in I could find out Sasses is a disease that possibly a cable break is present. As far as everything has been opened and checked out.. but I could not detect a Kabul break. Of course also measured, there is simply no problem. The previous owner has told me that the control unit is defective and therefore told me, control unit here, only has to be installed…. Of course fooled. Curiously, no idea if this has a connection with it.., the user profile always stores itself back to the previous owner.. that means ventilations go up as the previous owner has saved it, and despite name change the change resets back on the previous owner… I’m really grateful for every advice I’ve got… a few more pictures of my inquiry today.

After starter battery change, cooler fan no longer works
Had changed the starter battery last week and now I noticed that only the cooler fan is running on the passenger side, which does not on the driver side. This results in coolant overheating after relatively short driving time. If I read out the error – coolant fan is misfunctioning, reaches lower limit value, short circuit after mass. the error can be deleted but the cooler fan is still not running, For tips on repair I would be grateful thomas driving a 2 004 Phaeton V8, 210000km,
