Consumption GP3 vs. GP2 Diesel
Hello, the GP3 is supposed to need 0.5 liters less than the GP2 diesel. I wanted to check that out. I brought my GP2 yesterday to Fellbach to the friendly because of a sounding noise. There, of course, I got a GP3 as a rental car and drove the same route back again. (mainly highway and expressway). My P needed 9.6 liters according to BC of the GP3 only 8.3 ! Sure that was once only 70 km, but I paid attention to very similar conditions (Both cars were warm, height differences of the destinations were irrelevant, traffic conditions and speed are the same…) Now I want to ask in the round whether there is also the experience elsewhere that the newer diesel may have even greater advantages in terms of consumption than from the factory specifications. Hello my loved ones:-) I need your help again 🙂 I have the following problem with my fat guy:-( It’s about the following: I’ve already noticed twice once at speed 80 km/h about 1500 rpm (mountain high) and at speed 120 km/h that the car lets go for a short time then pulls back on again and then everything is ok again…(Tempomat was off)It feels like when he loses strength for a short time then gets power again like e.g. cruise and turn off while driving or speed up and brake via the buttons 🙁 Thank you very much in advance:-) Mfg Allen

Cover letter from the VW car dealership
Moin moin, has someone else received a letter from his VW dealer regarding “Refitting the engines of the series EA 189”. I was confused at first. Our Phaetons are not affected at all?! The writing is also very general with an indication where you can check this with input of the VIN. I did that then and got the message… “Your vehicle is not affected”. V6 TDI – Engine damage at 150,000 km plausible?
Hello to all, 3 days ago suddenly on the highway at 180 km/h strong jerking in the engine and no more power in my V6 TDI. Before never encountered problems with the engine. Immediately stopped and tow to the next VW car dealership. However no error indication and also at the following reading in the car dealership no messages in the error memory. Today call from the car dealership: 2 spark plugs have broken off and parts of it fell into the engine. Engine was probably hard besc Compression in cylinders equal to 0. Further statements are possible only after the cylinder head has been removed, which should cost only up to 23 working hours and 3500,- Euro. Probably a replacement motor is then needed. Now I ask myself, of course, whether this is realistic. I don’t know the car dealership and I have never been a customer there. I’m a bit perplexed at the moment as something like this can happen with a Phaeton V6 TDI. Especially since I regularly inspect a VW Autoh The vehicle was never heated or even kicked to the stop, but always treated carefully. Now I am thinking about whether the investment in an exchange engine at my MJ 96 is still worth it at all. Sure it is a beautiful vehicle but the replacement engine will probably exceed the market value significantly. “WL-…. 1959 ” taillights or tailgate defective???
Moin, yesterday a GP3 (already with darker rear lights) with the annular license plate (it is missing in the specification consciously of the middle letters, maybe he/she reads here with a hint) before me. Maybe one of you also knows the driver….. At the same time the rear lights looked very strange. The LEDs in the rear lid were only very weak, or were darker than the outer lights. Hello guys, unfortunately my Phaeton tries to get rid of my holiday mood. For 2 days the board PC only goes to the mood. Radio then goes nothing again. Also parking help.. if I press the button board PC then the message comes : at the moment not available. Is there a trick to get the whole thing back to running.. or do I have to sing 800 km myself and let my wife instruct me when packing? Please in quick tip or tricks. Vw Phaeton rear window heating!!
Hello Phaeton driver, It’s getting cold and when I start at 6 am in the morning then my rear window is fogged I activate the heater however I don’t see how with my previous car these strips of the heater?
