I think there are some tips and tricks on the Phaeton that are not aware of every driver, features that can be activated by certain sequences of keystrokes or VCDS. Therefore, I wanted to open a sort of collection thread to bring these features together and thus pool the knowledge… I have learned about the following features in the last days: 1: One can use the individual keys of the Phaeton with a seat position and accordingly adjusted exterior mirrors link to the thread: https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/seat-setting-t3460567.html 2: VCDS can be used to activate confirmation tones when opening and closing vehicles with an alarm system, although they are not entirely legal in Germany, but do not disturb anyone and thus ensure that the car has really been completed Link to the T hread for this: https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…ieren-beep-beim-auto-zu-t1902032.html This will probably not be new features for the meaty Zottels and Wurmchens among you, but for me and possibly also some other Phaeton drivers determined… Who knows more cool features can write them in the comments, so we bundle our knowledge

Internal mirror adjusts independently
Hello together, I have a little problem with my Phaeton, more precisely with my inner mirror. This sometimes (I couldn’t recognize a pattern so far) adjusts itself independently. It tilts slightly down to the left. I have never noticed this before during the ride, but only if I want to get into the car and drive backwards from the exit (so maybe still a clue). My Phaeton has the 18-way seats with memory and accordingly also the The strange thing is that when you press the corresponding memory button, the mirror twitches briefly, but still does not move into the stored position. First the manual adjustment helps. Today I have put something around the mirror and noticed the following: If I tilt the mirror completely towards the roof sky and then press the position button on the seat, the mirror drives perfectly into the stored position. If I tilt the mirror komp lett down and then press the button, the mirror does not move completely into the stored position, but stops at about half. If I then manually tilt it to the very top and then press the button again, it drives without any difficulty into the stored position. I hope you can imagine that now. Memory I have programmed several times for forwards, as well as backwards. Is this a known problem? Thank you and greeting Sebastian

Fixed-mount Ctek cans
Friends, after my first “knowledge” of a Phaeton, and the shock suffered with it, such a car from my home town still circles me, better, again, through the skull… The only one I had looked at so far was a vehicle, the wood of the center console was broken to the left (seller said this was typical of phaeton!?), slapped left headlights and in total he was somehow blown up, fucked off… Now to my question : My vehicles back I always stand out in the trunk with fixed Ctek sockets, to which I connect Ctek chargers, if they are in my garage. Can I “hang” the chargers directly parallel to the two batteries? I know, basically there is always “jaulting”, but I am talking about the latest Ctek charging management here and of course never have a battery to charge off or even upgraded, until now everything paletti. For your hints and tips cordial thanks in advance.

Motor talk closes at the beginning of the year 2024?
This text is at the top of the Volvo forum. Has anyone heard anything about?? Personally, it would be a pity. Greeting On the occasion of this event, we would like to draw your attention to this important blog post of the Motor-Talk workshop as hosts and sponsors of the Volvo and Polestar area. Currently, however, we are planning that the MOTOR-TALK page will be taken off the net at the beginning of 2024, as well as the MOTOR-TALK apps. Source: https://www.motor-talk.de/…/the-future-of-motor-talk -t7495710.html We would like to invite you here with the Volvo community to discuss this decision objectively and, if necessary, to decide which future can arise from this for the many friendships and acquaintances.

Inside mirror loosely after disc replacement. Which replacement would fit?
Good day Phaeton municipality I have to speak today. Was yesterday at the front window exchange with junited car glass. When I picked up the thick again I immediately noticed that the inside mirror was full of loose u wobbly to the left u right. I called back that. The fitter had already told me before u even made a video of it before the construction. I said so loosely he was never. He again expanded u seen that was glued to the mirror foot.So the problem existed already before u the thick one I am 2 months ago probably already has the 2nd or 3rd windshield. Was the friendly one. Because of part number u price. The part costs 1500euro.?? Has he scared himself. My question now, does one of such a part still lie around u cheaply to leave? Drive a 3 GP year 2011 part number is 3D1 857 CB 6C3! Able to blend u with memory in crisscross gray.Does anyone know if the mirrors from the predecessor also fit or what else is it? Which mirror can I still use? xDo not need a memory. Thanks to you. P.S. of the year 2006 there are the things for 30euro.??

Spurrings and side wind with 235 all-weather tyres on 17 tariffs
Hello dear forum, I wanted to ask how your P’s behave on the highway in the case of trackers? I’ve noticed recently that our GP4 V8 with the 235er 17 Zollrn on the AB feels every track channel, which partly causes a very spongy driving feeling. We drove yesterday from Kassel via Saarbrücken to Paris and I noticed that the thickness of e.g. on a very broken AB like the A6 simply does not drive well (Lenkrad is just held, swen However, it is always easy to turn to the right or to the left). Has one or other driver noticed this already? Does this have a technical cause? Cross handlebars came new before 20 tKM and do not make any noises or other abnormalities. On the A5 near Frankfurt (many long straights) I didn’t notice that, there he drives quite confidently and you could theoretically let go of the steering wheel at 160 kmh if he would not pull slightly to the right. yesterday morning a very stiff breeze and the side wind was quite strong, there it broke out again and again at Tempo 130 and the driving was again not nice because you had to row properly. I heard that the side wind should not disturb the Phaeton by 2.5 tons of weight. Is there similar experience or solutions?

Hello.. as already written above, the window lifters front passenger and front passenger do not work at the back. But when I press the switch I hear the click of the engine? What can that be? Thank you

Another one introduces itself…
Hello together, also I want to introduce myself briefly since I bought a GP3 3.0TDI Phaeton 4 weeks ago. I am in the middle of 40, project manager, family father with two smaller children, come from near Nuremberg and have so far only driven simpler cars (Astra,Golf,Polo,Audi A3, older 5 BMW). In secret I don’t have a particularly automobile heart and had my money invested rather in good food (since both were not in it). 10 years ago I already had a Phaeton as a “beautiful car” in the After my Golf Plus with a moderate 200000km was already at the end, I wanted to treat myself to something better. After two months of riding a motorcycle as an alternative, the decision between ‘sports’ or ‘comfortable’ was spontaneously made in the direction of ‘comfortable’. From then on, only the Phaeton came into consideration, everything else I immediately made as a second choice. I wanted another dinosaur again. A dinosaur not everyone has (Audi A6 was also available, but many are driving), which offered a lot of space and generally a lot for money. I then signed up in the forum three months ago and was frightened by the many woes of Phaeton. However, that did not stop me so that I rolled offers into mobile.de and autoscout24.de. In the end, it was clear that it was the long version with brown leather and As is well known, there are not so many, so I had longer journeys for test drives. I had to accept some disappointments: dusty, unprepared Phaeton, which looked much better on the photos than in real. One had the leather shrugged on, the other had smelled bad inside and trunk didn’t open automatically anymore, was the VW dealer but no matter because he meant he was sold anyway. I then closed short at one VW dealer in the Saarland and had to wait an endless 6 weeks because the car was still processed and I went abroad for business trips. My purchase: GP3, late 2013, long wheelbase, 5 seaters, 86500km, 1950€, new price 104000€, no abnormalities in the electronic service booklet, winter tyres extra, air conditioning new, PerfectCar Pro, 24month maintenance/inspection. 18-way seats/memory/massage, parking heater, parking aid/return camera, steering wheel heated, thermal protection glass, electric tr. Rollo rear, sliding roof, 4x seat heating, Kessy, RNS810 with TV/DAB+, SIM card, Softclose, voice control, DynamicLightAssist/curve driving light, traffic sign recognition. Unfortunately no ACC and DynAudio that were important to me at first. I had a “good feeling” with the car but I didn’t want to put even more holiday days into the test drive. I miss the two things in the meantime, but well. Had expected a little more “Pomp” when picking up the car, was there easy I was disappointed, but it was also a rainy day. I had already noticed when driving home of 400km that the car was the right purchase. What should I say: at the moment I am completely enthusiastic. The car is the absolute dream. Looks in real and in daily use only from the outside even more timeless than thought. Actually I like everything about the car: – Solid like a castle, 2315kg and long wheelbase you notice just: No rumbling, no zapping, great chassis. – Inside unglaubli It’s really great for car music lovers like me. Whether at 70km/h or 180km/h, I just don’t hear a big difference in the outside noises. – Magnificent classic interior: a lot of space in the shoulder area and doesn’t seem old-fashioned to me. All of these sneaking plastic spaceship cockpits of newer cars can just stay stolen from me. – Large windshield and relatively narrow A-pillar: good view to the front and side. – Great leather smell, even after over 5 years. A pleasure every day. – Air conditioning is a dream: even at 33.5° it cools down to pleasant temperatures within a few minutes, really free of draught. The seat ventilation also helps. – I’m more impressed with infotainment than I thought: mobile phone in a backpack, get into the car, Spotify over Bluetooth runs automatically and with fading, looks at the title in the display, can jump forward/back with steering wheel control. Calling (via HSP) goes perfectly, success rate at Voice control is also good. – Kessy and other sensors work well: automatic light control and rain sensor works exactly as I expect, you just have to think about a lot less. Everything when interacting with the car is somehow “in the river”. I get off significantly more relaxed after driving (except in the parking garage 🙂 and my average speed has dropped a whole bit. The length of the car does not bother me, because it gets something in return. A few toads must m I have to get used to it at 10.5 l/100km of consumption on my way to work (50% city, 50% country road, 10km), but hey, I have a 90L tank! – Seats are good but not perfect. – Slots could be a few more, on the other hand: then nothing is completely trashed. – 8/10 sound system is good, but could radiate more spatially. I would be interested if DynAudio – only related to Bluetooth – sounds much better than d the standard system. I noticed during the transfer, that the electric rear headrests did not go anymore (which is strange, because I tested them during the test drive). However, I stopped for a short time and was finally happy about it as a child seat user, because I just don’t need the feature and it – according to forum knowledge – is not shut off. All in all: I became a “Phaeton” believer in a short time, with the smile of the understatement. Images of the car are in the P rofil released. Greetings, Marcel

Phaeton Exchange for the final Phaeton?
I’m about to sell my Phaeton, who should have been my 3rd final Phaeton. I was 100% satisfied with the car, the situation only showed that I broke up with him. But the virus doesn’t let me go and I’m thinking about going back to Phaeton. I was through with the “normal” Phaetons, the last one was a GP4 4-seater with all imaginable features, I think except the trailer clutch (I don’t need) he had any equipment. If I think about it now – what is actually the ultimate, final Phaeton, then for me this would have to be a GP4 with V8 (EURO6), 4-seater and Poltrona woman equipment. Does anyone else see that? I’ve never sat in a Poltrona woman myself, how does that feel? From the ambience, from sitting in itself, you can put the Poltrona woman “over” the normal Phaetons or is it only personal taste thing? I have to decide for myself – do I I’m looking for one or am I letting it be?
