I bought winter tyres for this now, because these rims should become my winter bikes and I would like to buy a few other rims than summer bikes in the summer next year. Now I’ve been looking everywhere and asked, but it was only told me for this wheel size there are no snow chains because chains are not allowed with this wheel size because there is too little space in the wheel housing. Does anyone have any idea about the topic? Can’t buy extra smaller rims and new winter tires now just in order to be able to pull the snow chains on them for 1 holiday a year. In addition, there is still enough space in the bike box with me…. Besides, I still noticed that only 17 inch rims are registered in my vehicle license. Because I like to listen to music and my extended system unfortunately also has extended power requirements. If I drive a longer distance with elevated volume, then I have to pamper my comfort battery again after that. If I do not do this, then all possible ECUs – as at present again – collapse. After I have had good experience with the construction of a stronger alternator at my golf times (at that time from 90A to 120A), I am now looking for a stronger alternator for my Phaeton. There is a 190A LM in there from the factory. As far as I have seen this, there are also stronger variants with 220A and 230A at Touareg. Now the question to the specialists: Does one fit in the Phaeton? The motors are essentially the same. MfG

First official position will be to throw down the 19″er and enjoy the maximum driving comfort with 17″ impression as long as possible. Let’s see how long I can endure the look. Since I will change to 20″er when I can’t see it anymore (have never driven anything smaller on my S-Class so far), I want to sell the Helios. The GMD has “spended” new tyres and the rims should be in good condition, if not equally renewed. Which price would be appropriate for the complete wheel set? Hello everyone, my Phaeton for about 2 months is a V6 3.0 tdi. Built 03/2007. I have been able to find out for 3-4 weeks strange things about the electronics. Hope you can help me further. I have already posted one thing with the ACC. I have so far only changed the registration light on the car on LED and an MP3 player from Sololo installed. The following things are short or occur more and more often: ACC goes sometimes and sometimes not! In the on-board computer then ACC is defective. After a restart I can mostly use the ACC without restrictions again. In the morning the sliding roof went up once again from alone up to half. The bulb for standing light is defective. Today I have become dark on the highway once the ZAB for 10 seconds and has recharged itself. What can be the cause for the problems? What can someone tell me? I am actually very satisfied with the car up to the aforementioned dropouts. Can it have something to do with the LED lighting? CAN-BUS? Would I be very happy about your help.

Hello first of all, so I’m starting! I’ve had a Phaeton 5.0 V10 for 2 months now. The car is really fun and is full of power, I have only one problem now. At 260km/h the front tyre has burst quite well, had really had to get the cat under control. Then I drove to the tire dialer and ordered me 2 new rims and 2 tires, 20 inches wide. Because I had to wait a week to have the winter tires mounted and to drive on. I noticed that the steering wheel when driving Vibrated, at 80km/h it goes off and at 120 it stops. Since the tires were no longer good I thought it was up to the tires. A week later the summer tires, which I had to install immediately came up. But the problem is not gone, at 80km/h it starts and at 120 it stops. What can this be, it lies on the tires or is the damage higher than thought because of the tyre pitcher. Who can help me further, the tire dialer says that the tires have to be driven 😉 I need a lot of fun?

My old Toyota Camry, which I had before, swallowed something like that always, so I didn’t feel it! If I am on the road with the car, I don’t want to know how the roadground is, but I want to glide away quietly. Obviously, it’s not possible with my requirements! Am I too much influenced by American/Japanese suspension comfort, that German cars don’t seem comfortable to me then, too much must be expected of it? And finally, there is another kind of technical problem, that I’ll be warm in the car. However, I have now discovered this Phaeton year 2009, it should cost 19.990 €. It is about the petroler V6 3.6 Has just 75,000km on the clock. Equipment he even has something:-) the 18 way seats, leather,purstaining,stand-off-assi,stand heating,Dach,Dyn Audio etc. The problem is that he is not standing at a VW dealer but at a free so-called multi-brand dealer. Also a large car dealer is not a flag dealer. Can one access such a car without consideration or is the repair technical too dangerous?
