  • V10: Speed fluctuations / Rubbing; conversion bridge defective ?

    Hello Phaeton friends, I’m new to the forum and have one of the few V10 running in Spain (EZ 12/2003, 130,000 km). Recently my V10 suffers from annoying speed fluctuations (about 100 – 200 rpm) in the partial range at “all speeds” (uh… I said I’m in Spain, speed limit 120, stupid story where I had it in on the A81 according to Tacho already on 274…).   • Dipped beam problem

    Hello everyone, have a 3.0 TDI since January and have a problem with the dipped-beam. The thickness, year 2006, has Bi Xenon, but no corner light. I found that one can see on country roads too short, because the right headlight may shine too far to the right. Especially in long left turns on country roads, possibly still down a hill, I feel like this is a half blind flight, because I can only see about 30 meters far (with main light everything is good). I then to the dealer, but de r said that the light was perfectly set. Well, I definitely find that I see worse than with my old Saab, even if the xenon is clearly brighter. Then I tried the main light despite oncoming traffic to see if I was blinded, but nothing happened. Now the questions: Has anyone also made this experience and found a solution? Can it be that the right dipped light is shining too far to the right and the light tester doesn’t find it? nnt? Can the right light be “turned” further inwards? Is driving with the main light on the other side of the road without the “complaint” being a sign of an error in the light setting?

  • Steady heating v6 Diesel

    Hello together now get a Phaeton V6 Diesel.Would you like to retrofit a pre-heater but at my Bosch service I asked, but apparently you can or there is nothing to retrofit.Has someone experienced or already retrofitted a pre-heater.Thanks in advance for the help

  • Control unit of steering defective… 3.0 TDI GP3 Help…

    Hello together. At my VW the control unit of the steering gear is out of the blue. Lt. VW specialist workshop there is the part not individually, but only as a unit. So the steering gear (?) That’s how it is in the KV. Costs incl. troubleshooting etc. 2.900 Euro. Isn’t there another solution? My VW is EZ 02/2011 and has run about 136,000 km. Alone the spare part costs 1.440 Euro net.   • Error P0299 Loading pressure below limit of regulation

    Hello together, I have with the small following problem when I step on the gas at approx. 2300 revolutions it goes into the emergency run with the indicator engine malfunction in AI and zero power. When I restart the engine again everything is fine again. This error can not always be reproduced. My troubleshooting was so far the adjuster of the turbocharger to check this runs with the actuator diagnosis quite normal without hacking. Did one of you ever have this problem ?

  • Ventilation squeaking – Possible solutions???

    Hello everyone, since yesterday my air conditioning fan squeaks somehow. In the stand everything is ok. But as soon as I give gas somehow transmits vibrations and the ventilation starts to squeak with an extremely high frequency noise. With maximum fan power or shutting off the ventilation the noise stops, so definitively the location in the storage of the fan is to be looked for. Is there a simple solution for this without removing the complete valve front? I’m just thinking of spraying WD40 into the front vents, but unfortunately I don’t know if that’s where it’s supposed to go… I hope someone has a simple solution for this, because I can’t afford to put the Phaeton back in the workshop for several days now, after he was there for 14 days for inspection and repair.     Hello all, I have on the rear axle two WINTER REIFEN 245/45R19 102V NEXEN WINGUARD SPORT 2 with good profile. The front tyres should be replaced by the same model, because of a wrong order I get now instead the Michelin Sport Alpine 5 245/45R19 102V . Who of you has experience with mixed tires? Is it worth it for me now in two more new Michelin to avoid possible disadvantages or even dangers by mixed tires? LG

  • When starting “hard” brake pedal

    Hello. I’ve been having the problem for some time now that the brake pedal is heavy on the GP3 2011 6 diesel. If I push the brake normally tenderly, the Phaeton does not start and indicates that I should press the brake. If I press a little more forcefully, it starts and everything is normal again.   • Lowering module WiFi with APP control

    I am looking for at least two other interested parties for the above mentioned lowering module. I have already found a manufacturer who adapts his module on the Phaeton.
