Hello everyone, my Phaeton for about 2 months is a V6 3.0 tdi. Built 03/2007. I have been able to find out for 3-4 weeks strange things about the electronics. Hope you can help me further. I have already posted one thing with the ACC. I have so far only changed the registration light on the car on LED and an MP3 player from Sololo installed. The following things are short or occur more and more often: ACC goes sometimes and sometimes not! In the on-board computer then ACC is defective. After a restart I can mostly use the ACC without restrictions again. In the morning the sliding roof went up once again from alone up to half. The bulb for standing light is defective. Today I have become dark on the highway once the ZAB for 10 seconds and has recharged itself. What can be the cause for the problems? What can someone tell me? I am actually very satisfied with the car up to the aforementioned dropouts. Can it have something to do with the LED lighting? CAN-BUS? Would I be very happy about your help.

Hello first of all, so I’m starting! I’ve had a Phaeton 5.0 V10 for 2 months now. The car is really fun and is full of power, I have only one problem now. At 260km/h the front tyre has burst quite well, had really had to get the cat under control. Then I drove to the tire dialer and ordered me 2 new rims and 2 tires, 20 inches wide. Because I had to wait a week to have the winter tires mounted and to drive on. I noticed that the steering wheel when driving Vibrated, at 80km/h it goes off and at 120 it stops. Since the tires were no longer good I thought it was up to the tires. A week later the summer tires, which I had to install immediately came up. But the problem is not gone, at 80km/h it starts and at 120 it stops. What can this be, it lies on the tires or is the damage higher than thought because of the tyre pitcher. Who can help me further, the tire dialer says that the tires have to be driven 😉 I need a lot of fun?

On the other hand, because I somehow can’t cope with the suspension comfort. I had asked here in the forum about the cause of the jerking. A driving mechanic of the friendly looked at me only questioning and NOTHING. That should be road feedback! My old Toyota Camry, which I had before, swallowed something like that always, so I didn’t feel it! If I am on the road with the car, I don’t want to know how the roadground is, but I want to glide away quietly. Obviously, it’s not possible with my requirements! Am I too much influenced by American/Japanese suspension comfort, that German cars don’t seem comfortable to me then, too much must be expected of it? And finally, there is another kind of technical problem, that I’ll be warm in the car. If I drive to the friendly, it’s warm, I’m not too much to be able to find anything else to find anything more expensive. I should expect to find something more technical.

Hello, I have a VW Phaeton in mind at the moment. It should be a 2nd car. However, I have no plan of the car and have a bit of fear or respect, if one reads here can sometimes become a fear and anxiety. Actually I wanted to get an A8 year 2011 for just under 36,000€. However, I have now discovered this Phaeton year 2009, it should cost 19.990 €. It is about the petroler V6 3.6 Has just 75,000km on the clock. Equipment he even has something:-) the 18 way seats, leather,purstaining,stand-off-assi,stand heating,Dach,Dyn Audio etc. The problem is that he is not standing at a VW dealer but at a free so-called multi-brand dealer. Also a large car dealer is not a flag dealer. Can one access such a car without consideration or is the repair technical too dangerous?

Hello, after reading so much about zottel here I drove 450 kilometers to him with my problem, my navicomputer had given up the spirit, in my workshop on the spot I was offered only one exchange, which would have cost about 1000 euros. zottel his partner expanded the part and found the error, it was only a solder to renew, that did not cost me 100 euros. and where I was already there I invested the saved money in a small tuning 🙂 after we were finished I am a few kilometers further to refuel, and there I filled 40 liters benzin instead of diesel (did not refuel in more than 20 years) my first call was of course to zottel, he could help me further and pumped out my tank in front of place VIELEN DANK again for your help! I will definitely drive back to zottel if I have a problem!!!

So again a new THREAD from me. Must admit that I used to smile at the car cleaning fraction rather and could not really understand how you can invest so much time in car care…. Now I seem to have real father feeling for my little “thickness” and want to spoil it;-) Which care products do you use? For the paint? Rims? Interior? (Here I would be interested if there is anything good for the wood carving strips? Irrespective polish that is sealed and perhaps also makes small hair scrapers invisible?) Hello everyone, every year in winter the sweat pearls are on my forehead. At the traffic lights massive smoke fumes always rise in front of the left headlight. Each time I am afraid that my Phaeton is about to burn down. But it is always the heater. Hopefully. Why can’t you just move the exhaust air channel to the rear? Would spare me some fear. Has also been addressed at a traffic light that my car is burning because the smoke got up from the engine compartment. Gruss capdoc

Hello together, you tried to break into my Phaeton. The perpetrator or the perpetrators tried to smash the passenger side window but didn’t have it together, the disc has broken but stopped standing. Does one of you know if the partial cascade takes over this? I know that in general a windshield has a double glazing with a foil in between but how is that with the side window? is that not easy glazing?

Hello all, I have the following problem at.mein v6 3.0 tdi bj 09. In the kombi stand engine fault, workshop. I read the error and there stand agr valve sporadically( N18). I cleaned the valve, which in my opinion was not even so trusty. Everything was built together again and when I start it now it runs completely quiet and clean but after 7 sec. it goes out abruptly! Error read out again, 0 error. Does anyone have an idea where the problem might lie here? Vi Elen Thank you Greetings
