  • Remarkable encounters. When and where?

What do you think of it? Here’s my story: I was yesterday on the A 93 Regensburg in the direction of Holledau… In the limited 100’s I first overtook a beautiful Maserati quattroporte in the classic dark blue tone. At the height of Saalhaupt the speed limit was open and I ran my 3.0 Diesel GP4 in the direction of 230 +. A look into the rear-view mirror showed me that the quattroporte literally stuck on me… I immediately released the track and it raced away. Then the classic…A golf pulled out loosely on the left and braked the quattroporte fully! Worth seeing was the dust that the braking system of the quattroporte swirled up!!! After that I was right on the Maserati again… He left me such a thing from standing people… At 230 he pulled off at no look again! Respecting Diesel it was no one. I didn’t recommend it to VTS or Trofeati!

  • V8 in GP3/4 or the agony of choice

Moin together, soon I have to decide again and the V8 moves closer than previously thought. I appreciate the TDI very much, consumption and power up to 140 are sufficient but somehow I would like to drive again something else in the sense of motorization. One does not read much good about the V8. Too thirsty, too little torque, rotary organ, bad gear tuning, too nervous, oldest engine/gear combi in the P1, etc. DSUs and Pesbod’s “suffer story” I have followed or read. Most of the posts refer to the GP0-GP2. Has really nothing changed in the GP3/4? Yes, there are already many threads to this but up to now none of these threads could give me the decided Ruck in any direction. Should you just dare it sometimes? I ride with the TDI actually often speedily, 95% BAB, in the rule between 150 and 220, if possible also in the border area. I come with a tank about 700KM far, sometimes less than that. In the year it’s not like 35 hours of consumption.

  • Gasoline heater

Dear Phaeton municipality, often mentioned and yet always again for the “new” members an enthusiasm is yes, that the heater with the diesel is a quite normal heater. But what I did not know or wanted to address here is that my heater in the gasoline is apparently also a heater, because it goes at the current temperatures of 4 degrees – as it seems – automatically at the engine start. I tried it out today extra times. Engine started and not immediately started, but waited about 1 minute. Then I hear this typical exhaust noise of the heater, when it starts and sounds a bit bumping, like ignition shutters. With a short audio file, where I am sitting in the car, the engine is running and the heater is just starting and I have the driver’s door open to record the noise. The green lamp in the cockpit doesn’t glow. On the second audio file you can hear well the fuel pump of the heater. Pulsing at the beginning with about 4 “klicks” per second and with running time (I started then) the before 1.5 clicks and has noticed that in the front of the cockpit even after a good second, there is a good time.

  • Child safety both rear doors, Model GP1

Dear community, yesterday it was time! I finally bought my dream car after I had felt 100 vehicles tested in the last weeks and then decided. A Phaeton year 2007 (model GP1) 3.0 TDI. So far everything with the car is really tip top, even with the mileage of 195tkm it purrs like on the first day and is still very well maintained, but I don’t get the child protection deactivated. Have already looked into the board book and followed the steps, driver door the two buttons glow yellow, if I press them but nothing happens. Is it perhaps because in the board computer something is set? or even that I use the 2nd key (looks brand new)? I can’t imagine the latter. Wouldn’t be nice if anyone could help me. PS: Yes, I used the search function but did not find the same topic, if I am blind now already excused. Lg, MrComposer

  • Water leakage right front passenger

My Phaeton (2-2005 V6 tdi – 102.000) has been in the workshop for 3 days. First for a new turbo, and now when it rains it starts to rain inside after 3 minutes. Right behind the handgun it comes in per litre. In the workshop mann has already dismantled one and other and apparently something is clogged up. Before the in the workshop still 2 days further looking (+€€€€€€€€€€), there is perhaps someone here with the same error and solution? Thank you in advance. Richard, Spain

  • V10 built in 2005, to replace Kessy new learning?

Hello dear community and indeed I have a huge problem with my vw phaeton v10 tdi built in 2005. It can no longer be started and has a total failure of the electrics. I checked both batteries and all fuses, all so far in order. The key goes also only by not unlocking from the ignition lock In addition, you can only open the car manually, so I once exposed the keyless go control unit and determined that the whole footroom was running full with water, is now the question whether you can exchange the keyless go control unit simply for one with the identical part number or does this have to be learned first? Thank you already.

  • A new first offender, GP4 from 11/2014

Hello, last Wednesday the friendly bought a Phaeton GP4 from 11/2014 in Campa White. Car has 89,000 km on the clock and how I feel it has a very good and above all a lot of equipment. The combination white/beige has knocked me over, I find the killer!! Maybe not for everyone equally horny, I find the mega. At the end of the month I can pick it up at the friendly one, can hardly wait. I can possibly ask questions here and maybe I can also give the one or other tip. Greeting Ralph

  • Continuous red luminous central latch

Hello Phateonists, if I tie my Phaeton with the key, then the central lock will flash several times and then it will light up permanently red instead of flashing. After about 1 min. the central lock will flash back normal. Doors are slashed. Battery in the key is still full, the green indicator light will still light up every time you act on it. First wanted to ask me here whether the safety guard has one off or what else it could mean before I take it back to the friendly and take it apart again the whole wire harness for my small change. Greetings from the coast

  • All 4 RDK sensors failed

hello together…what’s going on? I was on my way today a bit with the phaeton, when suddenly the orange-colored mature with the exclamation mark appeared in my tacho. so I looked after the ripe pressure and had to find out that all 4 ripe pressure sensors have failed!? is it really the case that all 4 ripe must have the same pressure to work, as I have already read it here in the forum? or is it because of the battery of a sensor, whose “misfunction” also lets the remaining sensors turn off from the system? I found nothing in the sufu. thank you already in advance…

  • Red rubber part fallen off

Good day, I wanted to drive backwards from the yard this morning and I noticed that the visible part in the picture was on the pavement. I telephoned with VW and they told me, after I had given the part salesman the number, that the part is for the water flow and the car remains mobile. My question is now, because I don’t get an appointment before Thursday, whether the part is just back on and if yes, how long it takes, or whether the effort is very high? I would probably also drive to an open workshop if someone could tell me where the part is going, because they probably don’t know exactly the installation site. I would be very grateful about the help. It’s a V6, EZ 10/2010 with 127,000km. Thank you, by the way.
